We're going to WDW at the end of October, and I'm so excited! MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival - there couldn't be a better time!
I'm not too worried about the crowds, though - the only other time we've been to WDW was this past year - the week between Christmas and New Years! So if it was so wonderful then (and it was, oh yes!), a few less people should make it even better!
We were at Epcot, on the stone patio at Rose and Crown, for New Years Eve - we were at Epcot that day from 7am to 2am - crowds! noise! heat! and a great, wonderful, splendid time!! I can hardly wait to see what kind of magic this trip will bring . . .

I had no idea about Columbus Day, but here in Canada the Monday 11th is Thanksgiving Day, I'm not sure if that plays into the crowds or not.
My last trip was in September and I guess you get kinda spoiled being able to walk right on rides. But hoping it won't be too too bad 1st week of October.
I already told him that I can't believe we are related!
Oh, yeah we are staying at POR.
