There are 12 french cheeses on the cart (or there were last October on the Dream); they will let you sample all of them if you ask. Our server made my husband and me a wonderful cheese plate with all the available cheese and some fresh honey ... it was divine! :thumbsup2

Oh, oh. I may have to rethink this. That just does sound divine!!! Well, I have been buying up all the Disney gift cards around here. Maybe I will have enough to do Remy for just the two of us.

VERY!!! I have my 76 year mother with me. Can no do!

Ya, you two better stick together! haha...
I had the buddy passes available to me, and it's such a HUGE savings, I couldn't resist. I don't mind if we end up splitting, I'm not a very good flier anyhow, he'd probably get very annoyed with my apprehension! I should be ashamed of this, since my Dad is a pilot. :upsidedow
If it was peak season, there's no WAY I'd risk it, but I think we'll be just fine.

We should. Historically speaking, we shouldn't have a hard time with this flight at this time of year. We checked first. If it's getting late in the day and one or both of us have not managed to get a flight for some reason, we'll bite the bullet and pay for a flight on any airline with an open seat. Someone will get us there one way or another. But we are sending out good energy for a clean standby booking. pixiedust:

Hi all from summer vaca in "UP NORTH" OF Michigan. Hence, no internet,so I did my entire checking in the night on DH phone, aren't u proud of me?!?! First timer, but I am so happy to report we got BBB, Doubloon snorkle (sp?), and 1130 port check in. wasn't to bummed about Palo, could have gotten an 8 pn thurs night but my mom cant eat that late. So happy to see Eva and the others got what they hoped for!

Thanks Sunshine for sharing ur fun day at DL, and for all of ur organizing.
Back to the beach!

I will keep all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!! I am way too nervous of a planner, on the way home yes, but on the way there???? I would wear a hole in the carpet with all my pacing!!!

There is a private dining room in the back of Remy for groups. I believe it seats 8. We are part of a group that will be there Thursday evening.

Okay, I am "dense", you are "that" Lori!!!

:wave2: Hi!
We're traveling with Tracy (ToaD) too!!!!

(:cool1: We're doing the private dining room at Palo w/Tracy.)

Are you doing the martini tasting and mixology seminar with Tracy too? It is so nice having someone "in the know" coordinating this cruise for us. She is "the best" TA ever!!! :thumbsup2

My husband's a pilot as well and if he were flying I would be way less apprehensive. But since he isn't I always have my fingers crossed. If this flight were any longer, I would probably start hyperventilating.

I will send somepixiedust: your way.

Hi, Erin. I don't know about anyone else, but I am WAY PROUD OF YOU!! I have a fit sending a simple text on my stupid Smartphone :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:. So, to do your whole checkin online, :worship:! That's all I can say. I booked a later checkin time because we are going to be arriving from Animal Kingdom on the DCL bus, so I figured just leave the morning opening for someone else.

And thank you. We had such a pleasant and relaxed time. And other than not doing my Winnie the Pooh ride, I did pretty much all of the rides that I wanted that day.

And you're welcome.

We are doing both tastings as well.

I wanted to do Palo also but Rick said "pick 1". I'd pull hair to get Remy so it won out.:rotfl2: But I think you all will have a blast- it's a good group doing the Palo dinner.

I've got to say I was not excited about this for awhile (and even had TA counseling sessions LOL) but getting to see our crew friends, and our old travel group friends, and getting to meet a friend of some friends whom I've been trying to meet for years, and a new gaggle of people here.....I'm finally coming around.:joker:

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I just checked and the book date for First-timers is TODAY!!! I hope all of you first-timers were able to book what you wanted to book, with the exception of Palo Brunch.

Hey, is anyone doing Remy?

Harry and I have Remy booked for dinner Thursday night. But now I've just learned about the Remy brunch on Thursday, so I'm torn about what to do...

keep the dinner and if you really want the brunch you will have to book on board with all the rest of us. Then you can cancel dinner if the brunch is your preference.

Having dined at Remy, however, I can tell you if I had to choose between the two dinner would win hands down every time. Far more choice and a much more romantic experience ... and a cheese cart!

But I will still be trying to nail down a table for the champagnt brunch there, too!

They have a Remy brunch? How much is that?

THIS IS POST NUMBER 2500!!!

They have a Remy brunch? How much is that?

$50 per person only available to book on board; offered on last day at sea. five pre-set courses paired with champagne.

they just started offering it on a regular basis in June, I believe.

Hmmm, do you think we could do both, on the same day?!? It just seems like so much food. On the other hand, we have no plans at this time to cruise on the Dream or Fantasy again (we prefere the smaller ships), so this might be our only chance. But it sounds like there might be a lot of competition for the brunch if they only do it once per cruise. Could be a long line. But since we're platinum now (our first time cruising as platinum) we should be able to get in line early and miss most of the waiting. Hmmm...

Does anyone know where on board you go to sign up for the Remy brunch?

Beth
