fun stuff! I went to the grocery. It is gloomy and they are calling for snow late tonight.:scared1: Meg and Jose are coming over later. I hope she is in a better mood tonight. :rotfl:

I have to do that tomorrow. I invited our ex house guests over for dinner.

Is Megan not feeling well?

Did anyone read that there is now a charge at the Raddison for the shuttle?

There used to be free parking and a free shuttle. Now the cruise rooms are almost 40.00 more and charge for the shuttle? We might as well stay somewhere that includes breakfast and park at the port??

I havent seen that posted anywhere and their website does not reflect that. It still shows the shuttle and breakfast included as well as parking.

Even though we now stay and CI & S instead of the Radission I watch the prices to see if I can get it cheaper at the Radisson. As of today it is the same price as CI&S for the same packet (room, breakfast and parking).

Where did you see this?

Cindy -

I looked up Jet Blue rates from RIC to MCO since Dan mentioned they were released today. The flight times are perfect if you plan to go down on Friday and direct is $235 per person which is going to be a great rate the way they are talking about gas prices.

We will still be driving though as it costs us less than $200 to drive RT and we actually don't mind driving. I can pack and buy more. ;)

I was reading on trip advisor or expedia. Where is the CI & S?

It is the first hotel after you cross over the bridge on the same side as the Radisson. I would say maybe a 1/2 mile closer to the port.

Well Jet Blue opened up for Oct today. We were disapointed that the time we wanted to leave times weren't there. They only do early morning flights Fri-Sun we want to leave Thur early morning. So we ended up getting flights on Air Trans

The only one I find in expedia is by Ron Jon's.

Tomorrow at noon Eastern Jet Blue will have it's flight Sched out through the end of Oct.

We just booked our one-way flight down to MCO from DCA with Jet Blue for Friday 10/19. $ 92 each or 6000 miles. I used miles. Had credit banked, so total cost $ 0 . :cheer2: Well actually the four tickets cost me $ 24,000. ;) . After how much the cruise is costing, this expense is comforting ( the $ 0 current outlay, not the $ 24K).

Actually I couldn't book return flight with Jet Blue. Schedule out only through the 27th, the day we all return to PC. We want to stick around for a yet undetermined # of days. So we will keep and eye out for the next schedule extension. We love Jet Blue if your plane shows up, your able to board, and they take off.:rotfl:

The Fantasy is becoming more of a reality with airfare to PC booked.:thumbsup2

I'm beginning to research suitable excursions too.

I had the opposite experience @ DCA. We used to have one flight a day. It showed three for Fri 10/19. Go figure. Actually maybe we have always booked mid week because it's less $. Perhaps on Fri they have more departures to MCO? People escaping the madness of the nations capitol on the weekend?:lmao:

That's a pretty reasonable price, the $92 part. Jet Blue flies out of DFW, but it looks like they don't go from DFW to MCO, they only go north from here. Southwest has had the best price for us so far, about 1/2 the price of American or the others, not counting the no baggage fees. I haven't booked airfare yet though. Southwest just released their fares for October this morning, but I've been watching other dates and the October prices are little higher. I'll wait a couple of weeks to see if they drop.

It's all starting to come together.

That $92 rate out of Dulles is awesome, beat the RIC rate which normally doesn't happen. I love Jet Blue. They are my airline of choice.

I've been doing tons of research on excursions and still haven't gotten anywhere. Plenty of time to learn more, just not sure what we want to do.

Just a reminder to newer posters that we have a private Facebook page set up. Feel free to PM me to join in.

Some photos are being shared so we are getting to know the folks behind the names :)

Air Tran is a better airline. Part of Southwest Airlines. :thumbsup2:cool1::thumbsup2

Hey guys just I would let you know that we cancled our reservation at the Raddison because they charge extra for curisers and they now charge for tbe shuttle. So Nancy and I along with Joanne and Roger and Leisha and Tommy have made resivations at tht Comfort Inn down the street from the Raddison. Free parking while cruising and free shuttle to the ship and a free breakfast. Just thought we keep you two updated.

HMmmmm.. I am starting to wonder if we should cancel our Disney transport since we're going to have to get a hotel anyhow. If we can get a free shuttle, that definitely sounds preferrable!
