I made reservations for April. Tommy is going to a McDonalds convention. I am going along just to make sure he behaves. We will be there 4/20 through the next week If you feel like a road trip. I am going back in May with DGD and her parents because they said they are a package deal. DS just wants to go. I think he is feeling left out because he has falling down a notch since Aidan came along.

WE shall see. We are going next month the week end of the 23rd. We are going to a baseball game, Braves & Mets and I have the segway tour booked at epcot!!

Nancy and I are taking a road trip in April. Plan now is were going as far as PA. want visit Gettisburg, Hershey , and the Armish Country. I would love to keep going and end up in WDW, but I don't think that will happen.

Konk Cooler Recipe (From Allears.net)
3 oz. Light Rum (Suggestion - Malibu or Parrot Bay)
3 oz. Dark Rum (Suggestion - Cruzan Black Strap)
4 oz. Orange Juice
8 oz. Cream of Coconut (Suggestion - Coco Casa)
6 oz. Passion Fruit Juice Concentrate (Suggestion - Welches)
3 oz. Ice

Mix in blender until slushy.

So, so good! About 2:00 pm on CC day they will be Buy One Get One Free. I love 2:00 on CC Day LOL

I would imagine they would give off a different vibe. They are totally a tropical drink in my opinion.

I am not sure whether the Konk Kooler or the PinaCoLAVA is my favorite DCL drink. I know the PinaCoLAVA is the first drink I have on any Disney Cruise!

I never feel like I'm officially on vacation until I have something tall, red, frozen and fruity in my hand to sip on. Von and I are just getting started, so we've never had a vacation together since I've been in school. And our three little ones are all too young to appreciate travel just yet. But since I'll be a working RN by the time we cruise, I am almost positive that we'll be thinking about joining the Vacation Club. I know back when I was working, they always had a rep on board. I wonder if that's still the case, or if it's even a good time to sign up. I guess we'll find out!

DEFINITELY buy DVC....i can't wait till i do...but have to get the boy out of private college first!!!!!! you'll be able to vacation 'more' and in nicer style with DVC.....and yes ships still have the presentations and sales force onboard

I must admit.... I don't really care what my first drink is.... as long as it's got alcohol in it, I'm set! From then on, it's every man for himself.....my DH is always trying to "share" my drinks. I'm putting my foot down this time!

They don't have a replica of the room on board

But they do offer incentives for signing up on board. We are DVC members already, so ours are different than the newbie offers....

In the past, they have offered free sailing for 4, Annual Passes for 4, or an extra year of back dated points.

For us, they might drop the price per point in addition to inundating us with DVC logo merchandise I have all the hats, bags, tattoos, stickers, buttons, towels, slippers, I can use..... LOL

But definitely check it out...and they raffle off an OBC at every presentation. Worth a shot

That's good info, guys, thanks!! And there will be no cocktail sharing for me either, haha. We battled with ourselves on the cabin selecting, since I know we won't be spending that much time in there, but I really wanted to have the balcony for morning coffee and maybe even a romantic sunset or two. We split the difference and went with one of the partially obstructed verandas. From what I can see from the pictures, it's a pretty insignificant "obstruction", and it saved us a couple hundred bucks.

We didn't have much pool time in Alaska but we all had a great time as usual.
We will make up the pool time on the Fantasy in Oct lf we,don't get lost on the new ship

Oh yes there are DVC Reps on all cruises. Like Leisha and Tommy and our other cruising buddies Joanne and Roger. We have all been members 5 or 10 yrs. For Nancy and I it will be 11 yrs in April . Best thing we ever did. Our DVC friends and cruising pals are our second family.

Well, looks like the rep won't have to work very hard to sell us on it, he's got a fist full of free endorsements right here! I feel lucky to have found a man who not only humors my Disney enthusiasm, but shares in it as well, so I know we won't have a hard time keeping our vacations exclusive to Disney. Might as well make a commitment!

Go for it kids. When Nancy and I joined I was 57 and my wife was 55. So needless to say we are Seniors but we love. In Oct you won'miss our group.
