October 1st, 2011 Western Caribbean on the Magic!

Just noticed on the FE list that Angie, Amy and Logan are listed in room 6113, which also happens to be one of our two cabins! :scared1:

There is a 100% chance I entered the incorrect stateroom considering I have them on Deck 2. ammouse, please let me know the correct stateroom.

Hello everyone!

Just joining the board myself. I'm 24 (25 in 11 days!) and my DBF surprised me about a month ago with this cruise as a Birthday gift. I'm the Disney-nut around here and he figure he needed my help planning before he could book it :)

This is my 2nd Disney Cruise (My first was 2 years ago with my best friend on a 3-Day Bahamas.) and 3rd cruise ever. DBF has been on two Canadian cruises before, but this is his first Disney Cruise and his first Caribbean Cruise.

I’m super excited and haven’t been able to think of anything else since we first started planning. We’ll actually be celebrating our 2-year anniversary while on the cruise too so that makes it extra special.

I look forward to meeting you all on the boards and, of course, on board!

Marisa

P.S. I’m hoping to join the FE as I didn’t have a chance to do it on my last cruise! I have to explain it to DBF first though - he’s new to the whole Disney community and I don’t want to overwhelm him just yet! Haha.

Welcome! Send me a PM if and when you decide on the FE.

I am not looking forward to it - I work 12 hrs Saturday, then I need to stay up with DH to do this DCL stuff, then be up at 5am Sunday AM to get ready to work another 12 hrs.....Yikes :crazy2: This is one thing that makes me glad I am getting closer to being Gold!!

For some reason i have never posted on this thread? How rude of me :)

We have booked this cruise to celebrate my Grandparents "golden" wedding anniversary and i am SO excited! We have all done the cruise before - except last time swine flu had just appeared so we didnt get to visit Cozumel.

My Grandparents are so easily pleased and get excited about the smallest little thing so im looking for some ideas as to how i can make this trip super special for them. Last time i did a gift basket and got them a cake so really im looking for different ideas if anyone has any?

Im going to try and decorate their stateroom door as i think they will love that. :)

As much as im looking forward to this cruise i am NOT looking forward to dragging myself out of bed at 5am to book the excursions - this is one time that the time difference does not work in my favour.

Welcome and a wonderful happy anniversary to your grandparents. Wow - 50 years!!!

Will think of some ideas for you.

Hope everyone gets their desired ressies, excursions and spa treatments booked. Don't give up if it appears, for example, that Palo ressies appear to be booked on our cruise. Not all brunch and dinner dates/times are released online. And, in the next 90 days, some ressies may open up due to cancellations. Also, you can book once we're on the ship Saturday afternoon.

Laura, just had an idea of a gift for your grandparents. In Treasure Ketch, a Mickey/Minnie kissing figurine can be purchased which is great for aniversaries. It makes a great gift. For our 25th anniversay on the Magic, our DD surprised us with one.

We got our Palo brunch, and 2 excursions -- can't seem to pick a Port Arrival time or do any other on-line check in with documents. Anyone else have that problem???

Nothing like staying up till 3AM to get that 11AM port arrival time.

I figured that there probably wouldn't be a problem for this particular cruise, as it doesn't seem very booked up. I am, however, very concerned about the 2 cruises we have booked on the Fantasy next year. Makes me want to squeeze in a cruise in Feb just to be Gold status before booking begins in March for our June cruise.......

understand that I'm still a cruise away from gold but not sailing on fantasy for while yet so not to worried.
