Hi guys, back for the evening. Going to spend the night at home washing new clothes that we bought for Ted's dad. We bought a weeks worth for 150.00. I think that we really did good! I swear he bought his other clothes back in the 50's. All the grandkids would agree.

We are feeling better. We are tired but our outlook is better. We have accomplished sooooooo much today. Very, very important financial things got done for my father in law. Things are beginning to slow down now. We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and Ted's dad is really doing superb.

Sally, never feel that you aren't missed! You are a very big part of our family here! The rain just keeps coming in Monument. Day after day! As far as that goes, here at the house too. Massive amount of rain! Tell Barb to get on the computer at home to check in. She is missed as well. Hey Patty, are YOU out there?

Denine, a single mom bought Stacey's old condo. Maybe it will work out!! Heidi made the broccoli soup that wasn't the low fat one. Mmmmmm, Mmmmmmm good.

Jeanne, thanks for the encouragement. By the way.....I have my airline tickets. Faith just offered the breakfast in her suite on the second sea day. How does that sound?? Better to me! Ted would kill me if I left him alone on the cruise so I won't even offer that for the high tea.

Susan, how are things going at work? Slowing down?

Bonnie, wuz up girlfriend?

Hey, just wanted to say "Hi" and ask you to pass a "Hi" on to the board for me. My computer is down and I have a ton of stuff I have to get done before I can work on fixing or replacing it. I'm doing email from the library or my Mom's right now.
The big family campout was last weekend- very wet and muddy but still great to see everyone. Cody came home with a pretty severe asthma attack though. He's doing better and on Prednisone now. We had the patio poured and it looks pretty good. Some frustrations with the guy who designed it though. He didn't really know what he was doing so I had last second decisions to make right while they were framing and pouring! Now I have to live with little things that I would have done differently if I'd had the time to think it out. Still, better than the old deck.
OK, back to the race. Hope you guys survived the flooding over that way. At the campout, a river ran right thru the tent, in one door and out the other when there was a huge downpour. It held up a bit in one corner and Cody's air mattress was floating! I'm sure I'll look back and laugh... one day.

Yes, I am still busy at work. It never seems to calm down very much for long.

I'm celebrating today . . . . I got my braces off today and I am so happy with the "new" teeth! I only had them on the bottom middle eight but they were there for almost 15 months. I had full braces when I was a teenager but the wisdom teeth cause the bottom to get crowded and crossed. Next week I go get my permanent retainer put in behind the teeth so it won't happen again.

I did take the evening off and we went to the movies. We saw Dodgeball. I very corny movie but it had some funny moments. As we call it, a good no-brainer kind of movie.

One week left before we go to Chesapeake again and then on vacation. I can not wait. I am so looking forward to it.

I'm going to dinner with some girlfriends tomorrow to start planning a baby shower for August. Paul will take Turner to hockey practice.

Otherwise not a lot going on here. I guess I should start thinking about getting ready for bed.

Sandy, good news about Ted's father and you getting his "money in order". Like I said before, my father went through the same thing with his brother when my grandmother got sick.

Headache STILL there, but not as bad as the last 5 days.

Well, the people didn't show up yesterday. Their agent did. They called a few minutes after they were supposed to be here, to say she got out of work late and would have to reschedule. We do have a showing early this afternoon. I can't take much more of this.

I want to see "The Notebook", but it will probably have to wait until it is on video.

Supposed to be another warm and day.

Denine, hang in there. I guess to sell the house you have to be willing to put up with all that goes with it. The no shows included.

Would you all like to hear how my yesterday went & get a really good laugh?
Started with taking my aunt & mom to the bank only to have the teller say the check was dated July 1st so she couldn't cash it. Then to Walgreen's to pick up her prescriptions (renewed 3 days earlier) to be told they are not ready because the Dr. didn't call. Finally my mother agreed to go to the Dr. & we get there for her 10:45 appt. only to be told they called & cancelled it since the Dr. will not be in until 12:00 noon but got another appt. for 3:00 PM. Since they never get out, we decide to go to the diner; we pull up & the diner is "closed for renovations" but we did find another. At 3:30 I leave to pick my cousin up at Philadelphia Airport & we keep talking on cell phones & she keeps telling me she is right out front to USAir but I can't find her. I drive around probably three times & finally a cop says "what are you looking for" & he tells me USAir Express is an airline you have to go in the DEPARTURE entrance & not ARRIVAL (makes not sense to me) but I did finally find her.. In hindsight I just have to LAUGH Later went over Bobby's & felt bad because he made dinner of spare ribs & rice but I had eaten chicken parm. over my mom's.

Hope you all have some great plans for the 4th. Think of me working this weekend - Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Have some fun for me! Toodles, JEANNE

Hi All! Feeling much better today. Headache is A LOT smaller today. We spent the day in the pool. We got in about 1pm and just got out (6pm). Had a nice time. The first 2 1/2 hours the kids were at my mom's so Garry and I sunbathed and relaxed. Then the kids came home and it was "playtime" for the remaining time in the pool.

Well gotta run, will check back in later!

Mom...too bad about barb not being able to surf anymore. I tried to send her some emails as I did the rest of the group but they were blocked.

Jeanne...I don't think it is St Anthony, he helps me find things, like keys...I thought it was a statue of Joseph or Mary but you have to bury it on it's head, whoever it is. Try it Denine...it couldn't hurt.

Susan...congrats on the braces...makes the smile even more beautiful.

Well, off to Chicago tomorrow to shop for bathroom stuff. Glenn will be cooking me dinner one of the days...he got the EPCOT Italy alfredo recipe off the internet and informed me he would cook it for me! I could get spoiled!
Work stinks...miserable people who work for me although this one is a good worker, just one of those people that is NEVER happy unless she has something to gripe about! THank heavens she works from home!!!

Good morning all.

Wow Jeanne - you had a busy day of everything going wrong!!!

Susan - congrats on the braces off. I hated my braces and had to wear them a year longer than my sister.

I think my mom and dad were actually able to stay most of the day and all day/night tonight at the campground!! Atleast they had one day of not coming back to Denver. They both are very tired!!

I am tired today because my DBF neighbor upstairs decided to come home drunk with a bunch of his friends and party some more. This was from 12:30-2:30am. Someone kicked the wood pieces that the balcony was made from and those were all over the street...now their deck has huge holes from the missing planks, very unsafe. Then 2 of the people were puking off the balcony and onto the neighbors porch below. A huge fight broke out, people where screaming, falling down the stairs and they continued to fight outside, get into cars and chase each other down the street. Chris and I got all their license plate numbers and called the police alerting them that they were leaving the complex and driving drunk. Then it started to calm down and you could hear 1 guy crying on the balcony and puking, and a girl down on the street crying and talking on the phone because her friend left her there and she didn't know where she was. I will never live in an apartment ever. Especially after the last few episodes with the same neighbor.

Thank you mom and dad for letting me stay in your house and save up money so I never have to live in an apartment.

I hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July. I will be going down to the campground after work. Watch some fireworks for me.

Hi Everyone!!

It's me Barb!!! I have missed you guys and keeping up with the post. Yes Progressive is buckling down again. Grrrrrrrrr.....

I can still sneak on during breaks. I have been so busy at work I have hardly had time to do anything. I am now in charge of 3 committee's and the starting them up process. So needless to say I am SOSOSOSO busy!!

Missy is getting married. (my 22 year old) She wants a short engagement so I have been trying to push her to at least Jan. So Missy, Mom and I are planning a Jan wedding.

Bob has been really really really sick with an allergic reaction to a medication. He looks terrible. He is bright red, swollen and is running a really high fever. The Dr says just take benedryl and it will go away. He has been in bed all week today his color is now pink and the swelling has gone down some.

Tiffany has a job!!! Whoppeeeee She works at Cold Stone ice cream. It is her first job and I am SO proud of her.

I will try and post in the morning before I get on the phone. I have missed you all so much and don't want our little family to stop posting!!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I have been miserable all week with my endo. Jerry worked from home yesterday and I spent a lot of the day in bed with my heating pad.

We do go down to the outlet stores last night. I bought Kaleigh several pairs of winter pj's at 1/2 price and I got 2 sweaters for $7 each, one was originally $40. From there, we went up to the house. They started the framing, so I HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!!!!! We were able to walk into the 1st floor and see everything. We have basement steps and the steps to go upstairs. They still have to frame the upstairs. We are going back this evening with the video camera.

We have a showing tomorrow afternoon. I have a cookout planned, if I can eat. I have been subsisting on ice cream because that is all that tastes good.

Jeanne: Hope today goes better at work! Too bad about your day of things going wrong.

Bonnie: Have fun picking out bathroom stuff in Chicago. I also have the Alfredo recipe, but I haven't made it.

Barb: Welcome back! I hope Bob feels better soon! Congrats to Missy on the wedding and to Tiffany on her job.

I hope to go furniture shopping later. We need an entertainment center for sure. The one we have is built in, so it stays with the house. I would like a new sofa and some comfy chairs for the family room and put what I have now into the basement.

Apparently I am the only one with no plans this weekend. It is actually nice for a change.

I am feeling better today.

We went out furniture shopping yesterday. I think I have the sofa picked out and the chair with ottoman. I just have to pick the pattern. They have like 1,000 to choose from. I am going to do the sofa a neutral solid and then have the sofa pillows match the chair and ottoman. I saw this purple toile that I really liked, but I think the chair is too big. I need something more subtle.

We took videoof the house last night. We even went into the basement and walked around. It is really exciting.

We had a showing yesterday and we are having another today.

We are putting off our cookout until tomorrow since it is supposed to storm today.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July! We had a nice day. Very warm, but nice! It was suppose to rain for most of the day, but we only got a brief rain shower around 2pm. We went and saw the fireworks. Brooke fell alseep during them and stayed asleep, the Big Guy didn't really care for them and Makenzie loved them. Other then that, we didn't do much. We did spend some time in the pool. The Big Guy is growing fins! Makenzie already had them!

Good morning!

We had a nice relaxing 4th. It rained in the afternoon, but cleared up again. We were able to go for a walk and we went to DQ after that. What's the 4th without ice cream?

The showing on Saturday will lead to nothing because the older couple probably won't buy it because of the pole and the turnpike. Yesterdays showing won't turn into anything because they were a family of 4 and are going to think it is too small.

No one coming today that I am aware of.

We are going to have our cookout today.

nothing else going on.

Poor Barb. At least you had a nice weekend.

Work was actually fun on the fourth. We had lots of food & we were slow. Today I went I sat with my mom but it is the hottest day so far this year . You can FEEL the heat & moisture in the air.

DENINE: What fun! Outlet clothes shopping & furniture shopping, a new house, baby, Disney, cruises. Life is good!

BONNIE: Hope you are having or had fun in Chicago.
