Howdy! Update on Garry's jury duty......... Garry GOT PUT ON A JURY!!!!!!!!!!! We both can't believe that they picked him! It is suppose to go until next wed or thurs. They don't want them tomorrow, so he has a "free" day, but they want him back on fri.

Denine, Garry will try to give Jerry a call now that he has "escaped from Ludwig!" for lunch! LOL! Hopefully they can get it together and do lunch!

Jeanne, hang in there with your mom. Men can can be the same way, can't they ladies! LOL!!!

It is suppose to be dry for the next two days, so keep your fingers crossed for the driveway!

Well, gonna go. Dinner is calling to be made.

Only a minute or two to check the board and make a quick post. I am finally over that awful stomach flu!! Hope Heidi has conquered it too!

Sandy - my nail technician told me once that for yellowing nails to soak them in efferdent regularly and they will brighten up. I have never tried it but I usually have a color on my nails. Try it and let me know if it works. I have an appointment tomorrow so I;ll ask her for any other tips too.

Susan I am glad you are over the flu, I think I am too. Today is the first day I don't feel naucious (sp).

Poor Gary, jury duty..not fun, even though I would like to sit on a trial atleast once (but not a 3 week trial, a week would be a good one for me).

Mom - Did you end up getting all 4 kids? I have to stay off the cruise boards because it is making me REALLY want to go on the Oct. cruise.

Nope didn't see the President. He was suppose to stop by my office building. It is just right across the street! Can't believe he blew me off.

Only 134 more days until the next cruise. I have started my packing. Still need to make reservations for Coral Reef.

Julie: I had a feeling Garry would be picked. It really is supposed to be dry the next couple of days. I hope they get the driveway in.

We are considering lowering the price of our house to get more activity. We are waiting until we hear back from the couple that saw it last week. We are going to have an open house on the 13th which is perfect since Brooke's baptism is that day and we will be gone anyway. Just don't really want to have the open house.

Just found out that our friend that has Chrohn's had to have a bowel resection. She was trying so hard to avoid surgery. We are going over there on the 12th so we will find out more then.

Glad to hear Sue and Heidi are feeling better.

Had a great day at work today - busy but not out of control!

Just me, my son Teddy & the dog off to Nags Head, N.C. on Sunday. I am NEVER planning a family vacation again. So if any one is in the area, I have a four bedroom two bath house with two people and one dog in it! I was planning on cooking dinner every night for everyone but with just Teddy & I we'll be eating out (they have an Outback in Nags Head).

Where is Darren? He needs to contact either Sandy or myself about the October 23rd, 2004, cruise.

Don't have many plans this weekend. Wanted to go to the Zoo but Bob has to work so I guess later this month. I guess I will work on wraping a couple of Christmas presents and gathering stuff for the cruise in Oct.

Jeanne: Hope you have a terrific vacation. It sounds very relaxing!

Sally: We aren't worried about the house selling too quickly. We are worried that it won't sell in time. We only appeal to a certain sector of people; couple with no kids either as a starter home or downsizing; single people or a family that doesn't mind that we have no basement. We have the turnpike behind us along with a giant power line and we have railroad tracks just down the street. The house is really nice though.

They poured the footers for the new house yesterday. I am taking pictures of the whole process and will put them all in 1 photo album.

Vent: Everytime we plan to have people over to cook out, it rains! It was supposed to be nice tomorrow, mid-70's, no rain. Today they said it is going to be mid-60's with a misty rain all day. I can't win! We are having grilled turkey breast which I put into marinate yesterday, chive carrots, roasted potato salad, I boiled the eggs and cooked the bacon this morning, and a salad. I have a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake in the oven. We were going to cook out then take our friends to see where our new house is going to be and then go for a walk in the beautiful park that is 5 minutes from the new house. Is it too late to move to Florida?

Barb & Sally: Not only have you purchased Christmas presents, but you are wrapping them too?

Denine, I don't mind the rain....I will be right over....lol

I bought a few right after Christmas when the bargins were great....got one that was $280 for around $70 I think.....

When we built, we were living in a small house that my husband's brother bought so it worked out great. Dick built the house so we did everything the way we wanted it.....never knew there was so much work doing it yourself....it was a great experience but never again! It was hard picking out all the colors, hardware, cabinets, etc. Now I do it all the time just to change things and love it....if I was young and starting out I would love to be a decorator....

When the girls were little I would have been done shopping by now. As kids get older and dolls and Barbies mean nothing then I have to wait. I normally would have parents etc done, also. I loved those times.

Denine, can I come to your bbq? I don't need sunshine! We can see your new house from the rain.

Barb, we can't go camping this weekend so we will do lawn work.

Jeanne, I emailed Darren a few days ago. We'll see if I hear from him. Wish I could fly in and go with you to Nags Head. Ted, Heidi and I could sure fill up those bedrooms. Dodger could even stay in our room!

I remember those camping days....loved it!

I have been busy finishing up the yard and trying to get caught up with the housework...need to shampoo but sure hate to do it to the new carpet...seems like it needs it everytime you turn around then.

Denine, I have pictures as the house went up and it is so much fun to go back and look at them....take lots in all stages....

Did someone say cookie dough? I LOVE anything cookie dough. Denine do you mind shipping me some of your cheesecake? It sure sounds good!!

I had an early lunch today. Chris was driving up from Pueblo (about 2 hours away) and stopped by my work to bring me a yummy deli sub sandwich. He had been up since 4:00 am with nothing to eat so we had a 10:30 picnic!!! I guess he does love me!!!

TGIF!! Looks like one of my good friends and I will be going out tonight to our favorite bar for a few hours. (her bedtime she says is 10:00, lets see if she keeps to it!!) She has a 6 month old son!!!

Where is everyone else? Did they take off for an early weekend?

Heidi: I don't know how to ship cheesecake. I can get you the recipe though. The last time I made it, for this same couple, I gave her the recipe. She now has to make it for her family every Thanksgiving.

Building this house is so much more exciting than whne we built our condo. We took pictures then, but the overall feeling is different. I already have ides for decorating. I have already measured the windowa at the model home so I know what size curtains to buy. I hope to do a little at a time. We can't paint the walls for a year after we move because of nail pops. However, I found these really cute paint stapms at Home Depot with Cinderella's castle and crowns to do in Kaleigh's room and Mickey to do in the basement. The basement will be our new Disney room. I bought 2 signed prints at the Epcot flower festival for my kitchen. One is of Italy and the other is of France. I want to get more next year. I have a grape theme in my kitchen and since wines are from Italy and France, I got those 2. I also have classic Pooh and Lenox Disney spice jars. I would like to use COLOR in the new rooms, but I am always afraid to do anything more than neutral.

We went for a walk in the new park yesterday after seeing the house. It is also a birding area. They have a monthly list of all the bird sightings. There are really nice paths. It is so peaceful. We will definitely take advantage of this park. It also has a small playground. Kaleigh saw the slide and kept saying "wee". She wanted to go on it, but we had to get her home for a bath and bed.

I am done cooking for today. Kaleigh is napping (hopefully) and Jerry is on his way home. We will most likely go for a walk later.

Hi Everyone! Just a quick post from me. We got our driveway poured yesterday and it looks so nice! The kids could play on it today and they just loved it! Now I have all this extra work to do before the baptism. I have to put the grass back (next to the driveway) that was dugged out and lay more grass seed on the tree lawn since they used the tree lawn as access to the sidewalk. Oh well, work work work!!! Hopefully I can get Anna Marie soon and she can watch the kids while I try and get some of the work done. I can't get anything done with the three amigos under my feet!

Sandy, no kids for a few days!! I wish I could say the same. They have been driving me crazy since they could play outside all day yesterday since they poured the drive. They did get to go outside today, so hopefully they will calm down!
