Pixie dust to Denine!! Get better soon!

We dodged another winter weather event last night. We were supposed to get freezing rain but it didn't freeze!! Yippee!! I had enough ice last week. Paul's going out of town today and tomorrow and I didn't want to have to deal with that by myself. Now no need to worry.

Wonder how Ken's mother is doing. Maybe Barb or Sally can give us an update today. Prayers to Ken and Patty.

Where is everyone? I guessing few posts because the DIS boards have be done off and on. It's back now so let's here from everyone!

Haven't heard from Darren or Diana in a LONG time. If you are lurking, please check in.

Not much going on here so I need to hear about all of you.

Love ya! Later!

We haven't heard anything from Patti yet. Hope to hear from her today.

We are suppose to get some snow today....guess we will have to wait and see.

Started the weight loss class at Curves last night...my goal is to lose l0 lbs over the next 6 weeks but will be happy if I lose 5....at least it will be a start.

Well I am off to Curves to exercise. I went l7 times in Jan and got a birthday shirt...cute, it is pink with a butterfly on the front.

Was cheering for the Panthers.....they played a good game and if time hadn't run out and they were the last ones with the ball I think they would have won. Didn't like the half time show at all...but then I don't like MTV....too old for that kind of music I guess.

Hi guys,

Susan, glad that you didn't get your freezing rain. That stuff can be nasty!

Krista, I have been wondering about your surgery. When was it scheduled?

Bonnie, I have the contacts in right now. I have a funny feeling that they need to be adjusted because everything is blurry except distance. They say with astigmatism and toric lenses that they might need to be adjusted several times. Hope that is the case because this is driving me NUTS! When I would wear my glasses the only thing that was blurry was reading. Should I call to tell them or wait till my next appt which is this coming Monday? I keep thinking that there must be an adjustment period. So Jeanne has monovision, huh? He prescribed it first and then I thought that it cost double that maybe I should get used to regular contacts first. Maybe I made the wrong decision.

Another snow storm set for this afternoon around 4. They say about 3-6 inches. We'll see!

I went for my B12 shot this morning hoping that I could also get the doc to prescribe me some good cough medicine, but they aren't in till 11AM. The nurse I saw said that since the stuff that was coming up was still gross after 3 days on the ATB, that I need to see the doc so he can listen to my lungs. So, I didn't get my shot and I have to go back this afternoon. Jerry is coming home early because I am not taking Kaleigh again.

We were also supposed to get some freezing rain last night and this morning, but it is 38 outside, so it isn't freezing.

Sandy: I hope you do better with contacts thatn I ever did. I kept trying them, but my eyes were too dry, plus my astigmatism is really bad, so everything up close was blurry. I just stick to glasses now.

Sally: Good luck in the weight loss department. I hope to get back on track once I feel better.

Bonnie: Already plan on giving Kaleigh her decongestant and juice. We try to avoid screaming at all costs!!!!!

Oh, I don't have mono or Epstein-Barr.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Happy Birthday Jerry.....

Denine I hope you get feeling better soon....it isn't any fun to feel bad and not know why on top of it...

Thank goodness since I got home from the cruise in Oct I have felt pretty good....hate it when I don't feel good and don't get anything done or even feel like reading. Last Friday I cleaned a flower bed out and got two large trash cans of pine needles and leaves out of it. I have yellow crocus blooming since late January.

Patti's mil died Sunday night before she got here. They have been really busy going through things. We took boxes to them and they are holding up pretty good. The funeral is Friday.

I know one thing....I am going through my things and getting rid of a lot of stuff....I don't want to leave a mess for my kids. Patti said the same thing...that when she gets home she is cleaning out a lot of stuff. You just don't realize how much stuff you collect over the years.

Looks like snow but none yet....

How sad to hear of Patty's MIL. Bless her heart. I think she is where she has wanted to be since the other deaths. God bless the family.

Denine, hang in there. I hope I can do contacts as well. I, too, have a bad astigmatism and what I am complaining about is the same as your complaint. Anything up close is blurry. Far away is so unbelievable clear. I just tried my glasses and I can read the computer so well with glasses but I couldn't this morning with contacts. I want this to work sooooo bad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JERRY. :jumping1: :jumping1:

Happy Birthday, Jerry!! Sorry I missed it when I posted this morning. I need Julie to remind me!!!

Sorry about Ken's mother. Sally, our love and sympathy to Patty and the family. Please let Ken know we care!

Paul is out of town so I can't stay on. I have to deal with dinner and homework with Turner. I also plan to watch the repeat of Survivor since I didn't see the whole thing Sunday night.

Love to all!!

Jerry says thanks for the birthday wishes

I went back to the doctor this afternoon. He changed my antibiotic and gave me something for the cough. Unfortuantely it contains sudafed which tends to make me not sleep. I hope it helps with the cough though. I also got my B12 shot. He said it is too early to know if it is working. I wouldn't know since I have been sick anyway.

Kaleigh finally feels more like herself today. Maybe we will all be fixed by Thursday.

We went to Olive Garden for dinner. We brought a dessert home to share after Kaleigh goes to bed.

Went to the mall yesterday. TDS had a bunch of stuffed animals at 75% off. We got Kaleigh an Eeyore in a white sweater and hat for 4 dollars and something. It was originally 19.50. She took him to bed with her last night after holding him the rest of the time in the mall.

I should have a chance to sign on tomorrow sometime.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I didn't post earlier or last night! I'm usually up on the birthday thing! I have been so busy with the kids not feeling well, that I haven't gotten a chance to be on the boards lately. I will remember Jerry's birthday from now on! I PROMISE!!! Jerry's birthday is only 2 days before the Big Guy's so I WILL remember from now on!

Sorry to hear about Patti's MIL. Our thoughts and prayer are with her and the rest of her family.

Denine , have a great time down at Disney! Say hi to the mouse from all of us! When do you guys come back? We will be having a birthday party for the Big Guy president's weekend so if you guys want to come over, feel free! The kids would love to play together!

Well, Garry is working AGAIN tonight! We are suppose to get another ice/freezing rain tonight, but I hope not for Garry's sake.

Well, gonna go! WIll check back in later today! Hope everyone has a good day!

Pixie dust to OHIO!!! Everyone needs to think healthy thoughts! I'm sure the weather has not helped all of you.

Just so I don't forget since Julie stuck in the reminder:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRY (the BIG GUY)

Have a great day everyone!
Later!

Maybe I should say Good Morning Ladies and Germs! Get better soon.

Happy Belated Birthday Jerry!

So sorry to here about Patty's MIL...as Sandy said she is probably where she wants to be.

I'm with Susan...in case I forget...

Happy Early 3rd Birthday to the Big Guy!

Sandy...give it time, you may get used to the mono vision...if not I would recommend sticking to the distance vision and just use cheapy cheaters for reading and computer. I find that much easier. I think it depends on how bad the astygmatism is and how bad the distance vision is. Jeanne now wears only 1 contact lens for distance and nothing in the other eye for close ups...cheaper that way.

Well...most of the snow is gone due to the rain but the wet has now frozen overnight into black ice so I may be skating to the bus this morning.

Staff meeting this morning...I will be the bad guy today stats, attendance, expectations etc. I wish I had a group of professionals that thought like professionals. Oh well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JERRY & THE BIG LITTLE GUY!:bounce: :bounce:

Sorry to hear about Ken's mother.

Worked Monday & Tuesday & then went over Bobby's last night. He is working today so I didn't feel like hanging around watching him work so I got my nails done & came home. We are going out to dinner at 5:00 PM & then coming back to watch the FLYERS. Sorry Sue about the Panthers. What a game!

Haven't seen Joyce for about two weeks. We keep missing each other at work but I'll see her this weekend.

Hope you all have a great day. Toodles :wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Julie: I know you have been busy with sick kids as well. We will be home on Valentine's Day in the evening. Give me the specifics about the Big Guy's party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 1 DAY EARLY TO THE BIG GUY !!!!!!!!!

Patty: Sorry about your MIL.

Jerry had to go into work for a little while this afternoon. He had to meet with his manager for his performance review which had to be done before he leaves tomorrow.

Jerry called the airline and got seats for the 3 of us together. Much better than being separated.

I will try to sign o nin the morning before we leave. If not, we will be thinking of all of you and saying hi to all the Disney friends. Hopefully, when we return, I can say we are all healthy!

Bye Denine, have a truly magical time. Tell Mickey the Van Horn's say "hi". :wave2: :earsboy:

Jeanne, tell Joyce about "BOB" and see if she is interested. If it works out, we will do it. Just got to figure out how much.

Bye, Denine. Have a great time and GET WELL!! We'll miss you!

Hi to everyone else. Nothing to say but wanted to check in.

Later!

DENINE, JERRY & KALEIGH: Have a great time but I am very jealous. At least I have the cruise to look forward too. SANDY: Now we will have everyone wondering what the "BOB" thing is all about. I don't think I care what it costs we're doing it!

Bobby is watching the FLYERS and so far they are winning. Keep your fingers crossed because his mood does change with the winning & losing.

Just decided to pop in & say "HI" Remember Denine have a great time & tell Mickey::MickeyMo I miss him. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

THink of us while you're there. You will feel better in no time once you get there.

Off to the Auto Show after work...annual tradition with my son. Will I be able to stay awake long enough???

Have a good day all.

Love ya.

OOPS!!

Happy Real Birthday Big Guy!

We will be leaving for the airport in about an hour. Our flight leaves at 12:30 PM. I can't wait to be warm.
