October 19th Cruisers again and again...

Ok, so I hit the wine bottle early. The CORRECT time for tonight is 8:30 for all you easterners, 6:30 for all us CO and NM people and 7:30 for Krista. I reversed the times in my email.

You are very welcome for me taking charge. I just felt that we all were wanting it but no one would DO it. So I wanted it REAL BAD so I took charge. How great that Denine got her gift!

Desserts went over real well. And I mean REAL well.

For the roll call so far we have: Julie, Bonnie, Susan, Krista (hopefully), Denine (hopefully), Lori (if she got a laptop), Barb (responded to my email and wanted screen names), Patty (one way or another), and Sandy. So far I have not heard from Sally, Laurie and Jeanne.

Garry get well. I know how you were really looking forward to going back to work!!

I don't know where everyone is, but it is 9 PM and I am going to bed. I have to be up early tomorrow.

Yes, not much going on outside, but the cold makes everyone stayinside with each other which spells trouble! No going to the bar to get away from your spouse!


Hope all of you had a good time with your chat. I went to work against my better judgement, but I do feel somewhat better tonight. I just have to find a way to stay out of the cold. Right now it's 2 degrees with a wind chill of -8 degrees. It's forecast to go down to -5 degrees with a wind chill of minus 23!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!

The October cruise seems a lifetime away right now...

UGH! 4:30am and I woke up already...rather than fight it I will stay up a bit.

It was GREAT last night! Barb, Mom, Patty and Jeanne...you were missed! We saw you logged on last night Barb and all tried to IM you but no response.

Barb thank you sooo much for the Mickey ornaments! I love them. I can't wait until next year to put them on the tree...you were sneaky though!!! I thought the package was from Patty!


I guess Jeanne was off with Booby. And I know Mom was at Dillards.

Denine and Jerry so glad you could join us! Of course poor Jerry couldn't get a word in edgewise!

OK, here's what happened last night. I had completly forgotten that I had blocked all IM's and chats. I did it so long ago. I kept getting IM'd by kooks and a couple of people kept IM'*** me everytime I signed on, so I blocked it. It never even occurred to me that was the problem. Jerry doesn't use AOL that much, especially to set anything up, even though he is the computer person. But, he figured it out anyway. I am glad he did and we were able to chat some.

Sally: Thank you for the ornaments and poem. You really went to a lot of trouble making it a truly SECRET Santa. First you send it to NJ, then you didn't include who it was from in the box I am looking forward to seeing them on our big tree next Christmas!

Sandy: Thanks for helping Jerry get logged on to the chat!

Krista: Clare looks so cute in her outfit!

Next time, hopefully we can chat on a weekend I don't have to work!

Garry: Good news! It is supposed to snow and sleet tonight! That out to make for a fun evening!

Kaleigh is feeling better today, not 100%, but better. I don't know if it is a bug or her teeth. Believe it or not, this was the 1st time she has had even a slight fever. She felt so hot, even at a low grade temp and her cheeks were sooo red. She just didn't feel well.

Jerry is working from home tomorrow because I have my doctor appointment. So, the phone line is his.

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pam found a terrific apartment!!! Thank heavens!! 2 more days of searching and this one came about because she went back out to look at one after we got back (from looking at SEVERAL) and went to the wrong house. Lo and behold they were painting and looking for a renter!!!! It was love at first sight on this one!!! She then came and got me so I could check it out!! Hooray!!!!!!

Old Man Winter has arrived in Charlotte!! We had nothing when we got up this morning to go to Turner's hockey game. Some flurries started about 3 minutes north of here. Another 30 minutes later and there were a few slick spots on the road. Nothing to worry about.

However, when we came out after the game (they tied 6-6), there were a several inches on the ground and covering the cars and parking lot. The roads were slick on the drive home but we managed. As we got closer to home the roads were not bad. Now that is not the story. Now it is awful outside. Several inches of sleet and snow and the temps. never got above freezing as they originally expected. In fact they kept falling. School is already cancelled for tomorrow. There have been several bad accidents with fatalities in the area. Needless to say, we don't handle this kind of weather very well in the south.

They expect the sleet, freezing rain and snow to continue through tomorrow evening.

That's my update. Gotta go take Stanhly out to do his business. He's not sure what this stuff is on the ground but he keeps trying to eat it!

Woo hoo, we did more sliding on the highway than on the slopes! Ben and Katie skied at Breckenridge this morning (while Cody and I cleaned the condo-found your card Denine-see email) then we packed it up to head home. Good to be home! Whoo, it's snowing sideways with about a 20 foot visibility.

Good chat last night. My parent's and family really think I'm nuts and need to get out more. I was so adamant about getting done with dinner in time for me to get together with all of you. Then I had to download and setup AIM on my step-dad's laptop, the kids were opening but then hiding the gift, yada, yada. What a weekend. Again, it's good to be home.

Hello to all! Had a GREAT time last night chatting with everyone! We really know how to have a super time!

As for the next cruiser trip........ Garry thought we should all take the Queen Mary II to England to see Darren and then fly home to our own cities!!! Sounds pretty good huh? Thinking about fall 2005! Anyone in for it? Something different, a cruise, and it isn't Disney (for those persons who aren't Mickey nuts). Darren could be our own England tour guide!

Jeanne, thank you so much for the wonderful gifts! Makenzie and the Big Guy LOVE their gifts and the Browns ornament and flag were GREAT! Where on earth did you find those in NJ? Thank you, thank you! I hope next time you can join us too!


Sandy, it is looking pretty good for the change I was talking to you about. Nothing official, but serious dicussion about.

My big news, today Anna Marie told me she wants to come live with us! I was totally floored when she told me that. I told her that she would have to talk it over with her mom. She said that she thinks all of you are super nice! She told me that when she came up to tell you that I would be there soon for the chat, that everyone said hi to her and she thought that was great. Now she can put faces with names since she met most of you in Dec. Maybe the cruise for her isn't out of the question. We shall see. If her mother won't let her, I think that since she is 13yrs old she can ask the courts to let her change residents. I'm not sure though. Will keep you posted!

Next wine chat.......... SOON!!!!!!!!!! Feeling great from this last one and ready to go again!!!!!

Went to Cats last night. I really enjoyed it. Since I am not familiar with the story it was kind of hard to follow. I bought the DVD so I can watch it over and over until I understand the story!

I am sosososososo excited I finally got to book our Oct cruise. We are in State Room 8525 we are at the front of the shipby the Roy Disney suite. COOOOL!!! It seems more real now! Julie and Denine do you know your room numbers yet??

I thinking it is going to be a long day again. Most of my team called in again today. This time because of the weather. There are 2 of us here again. Friday there were only 2 of us. There is only one common denominator....ME!! This is getting old!

Good morning everyone. It is a cold day. I woke up to 3 degrees and about 8" of snow. What is ironic is that the snow was NOT forcasted. It came in so fast yesterday that it caught everyone off guard. I think I was wrong yesterday. I believe you got hit hard in the Springs, too, Barb. It is soooooo icy. I was snow blowing last night and the blower and I slid back down the driveway. Heidi had to run up and push me to safety. What would I do without her? Love ya mean it.

I hear that the East Coast AGAIN is having bad weather. Our news station said that yesterday NC had 2000 accidents. WOW!

Julie, what a shock about Anna Marie. I hope it all works out. Like I told you on the phone, she is a doll. A wonderful girl. Maybe changes ahead, huh? Great!

Well, I hate to drive on ice and I want OUT. Guess I will walk to the mall. I have Graci and Noah tomorrow so I won't go anywhere tomorrow. Ted did some honey do's yesterday so we didn't go out yesterday either. Too much inside walls. No, shoveling doesn't count. I am listening to the TV as I type and they say it is still a disaster. Made my decision. Walking it is. Cross your fingers that an out of control car doesn't hit me.

We didn't get much snow....when we went to Cats last night it was really cold and a few flakes started falling. When we got out the ground was covered and it was snowing but the roads were slippery...Barb didn't have any trouble at all getting us home. This morning my friend picked me up to go to Curves and the roads were covered with snow but not slippery.

Today is our Curves 5th year and they are trying to get as many to come in to break their record of 304 in a day. They now have over 800 members. They are doing different things all week...drawings for gifts, etc.

I am having a CM home pizza party Wed. night so am trying to get all my things in order and have to balance check book so a very exciting day ahead.

I hoped you would like the poem Denine. You can pull it off and put it in a baby book or baby album.

I made it back home alive. Nothing exciting on the roads to watch. Had a great time. Ended up having lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in a couple of years so that was fun.
