Thanks for not thinking me crazy that Ollie jumped in bed with me yesterday. No one jumped in today. I miss all 3 of my babies dearly, but I know they will watch out for each other.

We got 1 ceiling fan put up last night. We started on #2, but Jerry needs to go to Home Depot after work for some different screws. We are hoping to get 2 up tonight with 1 to go. It felt soo good to be working in our new house! I went to Walmart today for some stuff I couldn't find at target.

Heidi: It is hard to move far away from friends. My best friend moved to Columbus to go to Ohio State and never came back. She is now married and has 3 kids. I am lucky if I see her once a year and we are only 2 hours away. We are still friends, but not as close. We have known each other since we were 5.

After our car was stolen, we felt very vunerable. Jerry still thinks about it every time he parks at the rapid station.

Sandy & Heidi: Enjoy camping this weekend!

Sue: I hope Frances stays away from you guys.

Bonnie: I can just imagine how you look and feel. Been there, done that. I empathize!

We pick up the truck tomorrow and start moving on Saturday. The walk to the front door is being replaced today because it settled and cracked with all the rain last weekend. The correct stove should hopefully be delivered tomorrow. They may need to replace one of the office windows.

JUst got back from seeing the GOOD DOCTOR!! YEA!
Was given a neb treatment, stopped the antibiotic...started on the steroids, increased the Advair inhaler and got another RX for the =other inhaler!! I feel better already!! Of course now I want to date the good doctor...you should see his new car!!! 2 seater convertible (but hardtop when up) Lexus!! I asked if it was middle age crisis time! He said new girlfriend (I think)...I told him that I was still single!! I can almost breathe now!!!

How about those poor cruisers...I think they are basically just sailiing around the ocean...no stops... Castaway Cay should be OK by the end of October...I hope!!

Julie-hope your grandmother fairs OK with this one...it looks worse than Charlie! They said this would be a bad year.

Have a good weekend all...off to Chicago tomorrow. Love ya all!

I had a really BUSY day at work & all I can say is I am glad I don't have to go back into work tomorrow.

BONNIE: I think you are now on the road to recovery!:cheer2: You will be happy to know I am going to the hairdressers tomorrow morning & getting my roots done!

SANDY: What do you mean cutting down the portions? I'm starving now! Hope you have a great time camping.

DENINE: Hope the move goes smoothly.

Hope everyone has a fun-filled weekend. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Very minimal wheeze!!! I can move at my usual pace! Thank you Good Doctor!!! And to think he has that wonderful car too!!! Of course I can forget about a diet with steroids on board this weekend! But at least I can start exercising when I get home.

Have a happy Labor Day weekend all! Off to Chicago...I can't believe I was able to pack everything in a back pack! I am getting good at this! All the meds, 2 pair of jeans, 3 shirts, sweater, makeup, 1 pair of trousers, panties...etc. I couldn't bear to take away my roll aboard suitcase from Perditta...she has claimed it as her throne!

Have fun with the house Denine

Frances has weakened a little. I hope that continues. Paul's sister lives in Melbourne Beach across the street from the ocean. And the Indidan River is just on the other side of her. She has evacuated to Gainesville to be with her daughter but is very worried about her house. I feel so bad for her and all the people in the path!

I hope Sandy and Heidi have a good weekend camping.

Bonnie, glad to hear you got better treatment from the good doctor. I hope you are feelign great over the weekend.

Denine, so happy for you. The move in time has finally arrived. I know you are so excited (and busy). Enjoy the moment, you have waited so long!

Jeanne, glad you have the day off. Are you working this weekend or do you have that off too? Keep drinking your water!!

Julie, is Makenzie still having a great time at school? I'm keepign your grandmother in my prayers, too!

Love you guys!
Later!

Have a great weekend Bonnie! Give Glenn a big hug from all of us!

Susan, Makenzie still loves school! She has had 2 days of homework already! Just one paper and nothing real big, but she still likes having "homework" like the big kids.

Sandy and Heidi, have a super time camping! Relax and have fun!

Denine, I have my mamo sat. at 2:45pm. When I am done, if you still need help, I can stop by if you need me. Just let me know! How exciting it is for you!

Well, it looks like our Castaway Cay is/has a direct hit of Frances! I sure it survives! Pixie dust for our island!

Keeping our friends and family in Florida in our thoughts and prayers! Stay safe! YOu too Susan, I hope that Frances doesn't take a strange turn and head up your way!

Julie: We will be at the new house by then. If you want directions give me a call in the morning. I won't be on-line at all on Saturday.

Another busy day. I am working on getting my kitchen set up. I have so much space. I love it!

We are all worn out, but it will be worth it in the end.

Bonnie: Glad you are feeling better and have fun in Chicago!

SUe: I hope Paul's sisters' house makes it through OK.

We have friends in a few places in Florida. I hope they all make it through OK.

Tomorrow is an early and long day, so I am off to bed.

Good Morning.

Looks like it will be quiet here this weekend.

Denine - moving
Bonnie - Chicago
Sandy - camping
Heidi - camping

There are plenty of you still out there: Barb, Sally, Jeanne, Krista, Lori. I know I can count on you, Julie. You'll probably post more than me.

Hope everyone is having a good Labor Day weekend. Turner had a friend sleep over. Today we are going to the amazing maize (corn maze). The boys will have a great time.

I'll try to check back in later today.

Later!

Hi all! Just a quick post andI'm off to pick up Anna Marie! We weren't getting her this weekend, but her mother pulled her "crap" and well, Anna Marie is coming. I'll check back later!

Joyce & I worked together today but I have off tomorrow & then work Monday & Tuesday. I am planning on taking a trip to Cape May tomorrow to visit my girlfriend from High School. I am NOT sitting in another weekend!

Sounds like many of you have some fun plans.

Everyone stay safe & sound but have a good time. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

We had a little scare with my dad yesterday. His girlfriend took him to the emergency room from a memorial service they attended. He was dizzy, weak, clammy and sweating profusely. These are some of the same symptoms he has had with heart blockage in the past. It turns out, it was a reaction to a new medication they gave him for hip pain from arthritis. He takes so much for his various ailments and this time a new one did not combine well. They did all kinds of tests and everything was checking ok. He couldn't remember the name of teh new medicine, so Kaye went to his house to get it and that is what the final decision was. He is home and resting comfortably now. I worry about him a lot. When he was diagnosed with cancer they told us we would have 3 "good" years and now we have made it almost 4. I know one of these days, we won't be so lucky.

Anyway, Paul's sister is still worried about her house. We kept calling to see if the answering machine would pick up and the last tme we called around midnight, it didn't so there must be no power now. Paul is planning to drive down there after it passes to help her dig out or whatever. We stocked up on a lot of supplies for him to take and his Explorer is loaded and ready to go.

Nothing more from me for now. I'll check back in later.
Later!

Susan, glad to hear that your father is ok. What a scare! Glad to hear that Paul will go down and help his sister out. Give us an update when he gets there.

Jeanne, have fun! Tell Joyce we all say hi!

Denine, I hope the move is going well. I was thinking that during this week and the weeks to come that I could come out and help you if you need it. I feel really bad that I couldn't help yesterday. I didn't get home frommy mamo until 4pm! I was even there early, but they were so busy and then they had some sort of emergency in one of the xray rooms, that I was waiting for an hour before they took me in!

Nothing new here. Spoke to my grandmother yesterday and they were getting hit hard with a lot of wind and rain! (and she lives on the gulf coast! I can't imagine what is going on around Vero!). There has been a lot of damage around her and she doesn't know how her home is fairing. She was evacuated from her "trailer" and is staying at a friends house. Those poor people down there! And to top it off...TS Ivin turned into a hurricane last night and is now up to a cat.3! If it stays on the path it is on now, it will hit Florida! NICE!!!!

Well, gotta go! I'll check back in when I can.

I am here. I am exhausted!!!!!

We didn't get home until about 10 PM but we got a lot accomplished. We had some good help and the grandparents watched Kaleigh. Don't worry about it Julie.

We were back at the house today and I got a lot of boxes unpacked while Jerry worked on another ceiling fan.

Tomorrow we are taking part of the day off and going to the fair. We all need a break.

The movers come Thursday morning along with Frances.

Sue: Glad your dad is OK. Hope your sister-in-law doesn't have too much to dig out.

Julie: Yikes! What a wait. Hope everything turns out fine. Where did you have to go?

Jeanne: Enjoy your day off.

I sent you all 3 e-mails with pictures of our house.

Happy Labor Day!

We got back late last night after spending the weekend with Patty. We had our "Bon Voyage" Party. We have officially kicked off the final countdown until the cruise.

Any one hear how the Magic fair throught the Hurricane??

Patty and Ken bought a new Expedition. It is pretty nice. We took it to Hobby Lobby and tried real hard to fill it up. Patty is redoing her living room in Tuscany. She bought some cool pictures. Bob and I are doing our bedroom in Tropical. We found some Parrott pictures.

I can offically pack now for the cruise. No more short trips between now and then.

I think I have finally reached a resting point on the wedding. I am not going to do much more until after the cruise.

I will post some of the fun stuff I have gotten so far.

Barb

Barb - you should have added:
"...and the memories.......priceless!"

This is going to be a storybook wedding. I am sure Missy will be so beautiful and they will be very happy. Thanks for sharing with us!

We are still waiting to hear about Paul's sister's house. She left Gainsville early this afternoon to head back. The last we heard she was still north of Orlando. The weather is still not very good. Paul is ready to go if she needs him and he is loaded down with a generator, tarps, water, tools, etc.

Today, I spent helping Turner clean out his room and closet and rearrange his furniture. His room had a total transformation and looks great.

Denine - the pictures of the house are great. Everything looks wonderful. Another week and you will be all moved in. Maybe not unpacked, but definitely moved in.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend.
Later!

Hello!

Yes Susan you are right. Memories are priceless! I comfort myself often with that:rolleyes:

Denine-is the purple ribbon specifically for Sophie? How did you get it?

I have been looking for as much information as possible on the damages to CC. Hope we get to stop there next month.

I ordered a new computer from Dell this weekend. I am SUPER excited. No more fighting with a slow computer. I also signed up for DSL. I have spent so much time on the internet getting stuff for the wedding it will be a welcomed change!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anyone know anything about Metbolife Complete. Wonder if it works.

Barb

By the grace of God, Paul's sister's house has very little damage. She called just a few minutes ago to let us know. She has a lot of debris and sand in her courtyard, some roof tiles are missing, and lots of landscape damage. But the house is dry and no leaks. Not far away, a house is totally destroyed. Nothing shy of a miracle. So, Paul is not planning to go down there now. He's hanging on to the supplies to see what Ivan does. Hopefully, Florida will be spared from a third major strike.

Barb - congrats on the new computer and DSL. You will be very happy. I don't know anything about metabolife Complete. Sorry.

Gonna run. I just wanted you all to share in our good news from Florida.

Later!

I spent more time on tarmacs today! Finally home!

Glenn did a wonderful job remembering my birthday...first words spoken in the morning...happy birthday, wonder card, 2 pair of beautiful earrings and a wonderful Baloo pin!!

The bathroom is wonderful! I told him he had a wonderful designer!

Hope you all had a terrific weekend.

Thanks for the call Sandy!
