October 19th Cruisers again and again...

Heidi, I am very sad to say but we probably won't switch to Thanksgiving either. For four days, we would spend 500.00 more than we are on the 7 day Tortola cruise. I just tried. I am kind of bummed but we will have to do a specialty cruise together maybe in 2010 or 2011. I can't believe that we can't even do Mexico together. What's up with that? I think with the Mexico trip in Nov next year we will move it up to the beginning of Nov rather than over the holiday. At least we can spend Thanksgiving together!

I understand that!! It is a good thing, too, that Dad and I cancelled our PC cruise. Kind of tacky that Mom and Dad are in the stateroom right next door on your honeymoon!

Just got a phone call from Ted's brother. I am a new "Great Aunt" to twins. Boy, Alex and girl, Madison. Can't wait to get my hands on them.

Hi guys! Remember me? Well, we had dinner with Denine and Jerry at Artist Point here at Wilderness. The kids went to the Club Den while we were at dinner. Had a great time except I had a headache before we went and it just got worse as dinner went on. i only had about 4hrs of sleep last night. (long sory short, we ended up changing rooms this morning I'll tell more in the trip report). SO, I think not much sleep and not much eating because we were going to have a big dinner..... equals headache! I'm going to bed (couldn't slepp right now, so I signed on now for awhile) soon so hopefully everything will be ok for tomorrow. Tomorrow night Jerry and Denine and our clan are going to dinner at Ohana's.

Having a super time though! Weather is wonderful! Last night and tonight it gets a little chilly, but the days are great!

Heidi, everyone LOVED the ornaments! We put them on the tree before we left! the kids really got a kick out of each one of theirs! Thank you thank you!

Sandy, it was great talking to you! We will do it again!

Barb, sorry to hear about one of your gifts! PLEASE post what was broken so it can get re-sent! I hope it wasn't the BIG package in the middle of the box!

I opened my secret santa gift last night when I got home from work. It was from Denine, Jerry, and Kaleigh. I got a really nice fleece blanket, a really cute winnie the pooh ornaments and a Rachel Ray 30 minute cookbook. Thank you so much. We put the ornament up and Chris instantly grabbed for the cookbook!!

Julie - you can't have a headache at WDW, I hope you are feeling better today. Can't wait to read your trip report and why you had to change rooms. Sounds like you had a great dinner minus the headache.

Good Morning!

Went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert last night. It was awesome!
Next year I am bringing ear plugs it is really LOUD! Maybe sunglasses too!

Julie-Opened my Secret Santa gifts last night before the concert. The one that was broken is a Mickey and Minnie ornament. It looked really cute!
I think the box got squished from the top the way the box holding the ornament looked. It was split at the bottom. The box it was mailed in did not have any damage at all Weird! The Mickey snow globe and cell phone holder are adorable Thank You So Much!!! I actually put the cell phone holder on the stand by the couch and stuck my remote in it. Now I can look at Mickey all the time! SCORE! When I opened the snow globe my first thought was which picture of Ethan can I put in it. Not my kids but my little pumpkin. I love that little boy SOOO much

Well, we GOT TO RIDE IT LAST NIGHT!!!! They had problems yesterday that they had been working on all night and all day to correct and about 8pm they opened the doors! If you want to know about the ride and it's changes highlight the below. I will type it in white. IF you don't want to know, don't read the below:

The beginning is pretty much the same. The "people in the ride have been giving new costumes and a much needed make up job. Judy Dench as the narrator did NOTHING for me! Sorry! you couldn't really hear her! The cars are the same but now have a touch screen in the front and back seats that you use at the end of the ride. Most of the beginning is the same! YEAH!!! The cave sceen, pharroh, ship, play (without the masks though) Rome (but without the line of "all roads lead to Rome", burning scene (new burning smell, but still burning! Monk artists, Church painting, newspaper (except the newboy's back faces you??? His voice matches his body now, but they have him in a corner with his back facing you waving the newspapers?) and morse code, telephone operators, movie theater (except it's a newsreal and no more Snow White and 10,000 Leagues. the TV scene with the family is set in 1969 and looks really good. It looked like my mom's living room! LOL! The only major change to the beginning "Up trip" is they boy's bedroom scene is gone and is replaced with a HUGE computer room and the story about the first computers wouldn't fit in anyones home... then comes a garage scene with Steve Job sitting there making the first PC for individual use. I guess from what was being said... is how the first Apple came about. But like I said before, it was VERY HARD to hear Judy Dench. the Earth scene is still there, but with lots more stars!! Then as you return to earth, your touch screens come back on and ask you to touch your answers to questions like are you a planner or a wing it type of person. If you leave on vacation are you concerned about your pet or home. Do you travel for work, leisure, health etc.... Then your screen comes up with this cartoon-y "trip" that combined your answers . Sorta like a Jetson's type of space travel kind of thing. There is no more scenes going down. You just watch your screens. If you do look up, you see this "black net type of things with lights in it" as you travel downwards. To me it looked sorta cheap. No more mini spaceship earth at the end or moving lights. SO, to wrap this up, the beginning and the changes were great! The ending, a little disappointing. My husband said he thought it took away from the ride concept. I have to tend to agree with him on that. It's still one of my family's favorite! JMHO


Overall rating 8 out of 10.

we are going to try and ride it again before we leave on Monday, so if you have any questions... I can try to answer them for you. It's still a MUST!!
