The above post was HEIDI not Sandy. Just wanted to clarify.

By they way at 5:00 we stuck a yard stick in the snow and it was 19". It has steadily continued to come down since then and it is now close to eight.

Hi all! Sandy, Heidi, Ted, and Barb you all be safe!! We heard on our news how bad it is out there. I just got off playing an internet game with someone from Pueblo CO. and she said that they have closed the highways. Well, hopefully it doesn't get too bad and it melts quickly!! You did say you needed water right? LOL!!

Denine, have a safe and relaxing trip.

Susan, glad to hear about your brother. Tell him we all are still sending him pixie dust for a speedy recovery. Let us know about Turner when you find out anything.

Bonnie, my dad is doing ok. My mom says he is complaining about a little pain in his chest (not all the time) usually after he coughs or breathes funny. (at least that is what he says). My mom is keeping her eye on him. He is suppose to go see the cardio doctor on the 21st, but she said she will call for an earlier appointment if he seems to be getting more pains. He really need to walk more then he is. He just wants to sit around and not go anywhere so I told her that I will start on him about getting up and walking. I think that maybe I will have him watch the kids play outside here tomorrow while I work in the yard for a bit. He need to walk!!!!! His leg is still seeping (sp) alittle but isn't soaking through the bandages. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for asking.

Hi Barb and Sally and Jeanne. I hope the doggies are better for you Jeanne!!

Gotta go! I'll be back!!

Good morning.....Hi to everyone.....I haven't been on much but I am feeling pretty good this morning. Dick got his blood work back and he had an excellent report....now if his lungs are ok he will be in good shape. We both get out of breath easy but I think it is from all the coughing and junk we had.

The snow is beautiful....it is sticking to everything...trees, fences, etc. I had trouble getting my dogs out in it the first time yesterday morning...it was up past their stomaches and they weren't sure they liked it. I don't think we had it as bad as Denver and it wasn't as bad as I expected. It never fails, we get a heavy snow around Dick's birthday so maybe this will be the last. I am ready for spring!

Well a week from today we will be on our way to Reno....we will spend a day there and then go on to our son's house. Patti wanted to stay in Reno for the day so we said ok...I will watch her get rich!!!!! Barb is flying as she doesn't have a lot of vacation days.

I have a lot to do today so guess I better get busy..... :cheer2:

Why does it seem that out East if it snows even 6 inches they get a snow day, but today I woke up to 2 feet of snow and I don't get a snow day!!!! 2 FEET...that is a lot of snow to drive in, but being the dedicated employee I brushed my car off for what seemed to be an hour and drove in!!!! I think almost everyone called off today but me!!!!! What was I thinking?

Glad to hear Sally made it through the snowstorm!!!

Julie - Hope your dad gets to feeling better.

Julie, we heard from Julie again?? How cool is that? And.....even Sally popped in through the snow to check in. What a good day.

Well, call me crazy but I think I will go weigh in. The sun is shining so beautifully. I hear once I get out of the subdivision I will be ok.

Ted's dad, who is 85, lost electricity yesterday. I was really worried about him on the mtn all alone but he said that he got out a sleeping bag and slept in it last night. He said he slept so good. The power is back today.

Sally, I thought that you were getting it worse. Your post surprised me. Glad to hear Dick's report came back good.

Julie, guess you better get your dad up and about. I kind of wonder if they worry about over straining themselves so they do less than what the Dr. want. Happy to hear he is doing that good. He went through a lot!!

Good Morning!

Progressive is closed!! I can't even believe it. Progressive NEVER closes. I think the highway it is off of is closed so they had no choice.

Jason and Michelle both came up for the weekend. We spent yesterday being snowed in. Bob worked in the morning but they ended up closing the base at noon. So we just kind of hung by the fireplace and watched movies. Think I will try and accomplish something today since I was a slacker yesterday.

Heidi sorry you had to go to work today.

Hi Julie

Barb

Barb - I am SO jealous!!!!! You get a snow day today, no fair!!! I just talked with my dad and he said that Jefferson County government employees got a snow day today and we are located in Jefferson County!!!! My building is about 5 miles East of their building!!! No fair, I think my dad and I got shafted!!!! (he works about 3 miles East of me!!!)

Leaving now to go pout!!!

I'm with you Sally!!! I live for the beginning of the week JUST for the shows!!!

Hey Heidi, I think you should go on Big Brother. I think it would be great to see you on that show! If you go to CBS.com you can find out how to apply. We could then all get the live feed on the internet when you make it into the house and you can "secretly chat" with all of us. How fun would that be!!!

Denver was on our news at noon again. Boy did you guys get hit hard!!

Well, gotta go. I'll be back later!!

I would love to be on Big Brother, I would be so game to do it!!!! Not sure if my boss would let me off for that long though, I wouldn't want to lose my job and I HATE PB&J!!!

I am with Sally and Julie with all the Reality shows at the beginning of the week...I love it. Nanny 911 looks good tonight!!!

All I see on the news is the Denver Airport closed & all the snow that Colorado is getting :cold: :cold: :cold:. I hate to almost say this, but my son & I worked all day in the yard yesterday raking leaves. It was beautiful :sunny:. I even think I got a little sunburn.

My work is crazy :crazy2:. Overtime last Friday night & mandatory flex this morning. That's Maternity nursing!

House is trying to recover from the dogs being here since Thursday but I miss them already.

Well now I have to do my son's income tax return.

Miss you all. :grouphug: Toodles  :genie: Your forever friend JEANNE

Another week of reality shows..yeah  :cool1: :bounce:

:rotfl2: :rotfl: That is so Heidi and me. I thought we were the only crazy ones!

The roads are perfect now. The only bad thing is it is like driving in a river everywhere you go.

Barb, it sounds like you had a perfect snow day yesterday. So I25 is STILL closed?? Target had tons of classic pooh party things last week. Forgot to tell you.

Heidi wouldn't be good at BB. She can't win them over cooking or cleaning. :rotfl2: Her personality would help though. :sunny:

Jeanne, Ted is still doing his dads taxes. He got called out to plow before he could finish. Sorry you have to do your sons. Taxes are never fun for you let alone someone else!

I am in the process of making a double fleece Nemo blanket for Stacey and Richard. Anyone ever do it? I am debating whether to fringe it with the knot technique or use blanket binding. Blanket binding is so wide that I think it would stand out. Their nursery is Nemo. I am also experimenting with another blanket. I have a cool Mickey cotton print and am lining it with fleece and using fleece binding for it. If that works out I will make a lion king one.

SANDY: I saw the fleece blanket using the knot method & it was really nice. The person who made it for a patient said she didn't sew anything! I am really happy to know you are safe & sound.

Can not complete my son's taxes since I can't find a booklet for the 1040A to find out what taxes he has to pay. Wednesday I will go on a search. Unless any one can look up & tell me what a single with a taxable income of $8,516 has to pay? I will go on a quest Wednesday at Libraries, Post Offices, etc. for the book that goes with the 1040A form. We couldn't do it by phone this year since some of his education expenses are tax deductible.

Off to work tomorrow. Hope you are are great! Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Sorry Jeanne I cannot help you with the taxes. I threw mine away the instant I was done with my taxes!!!

Today is the day for inspection at my townhome, so I am going to be taking a lot of measurements so I can look for a couch and other stuff!!!!

I could have slept in a little longer today, 5:00am comes too early sometimes!!!
have a great day everyone.

Gee, I wish I could help you Jeanne. I don't think Ted has the book.

We made the Nemo fleece blanket last night. It turned out so cute. It was a back and leg breaker. If we ever do another one it will be on the table, right Heidi?? We ended up doing the knot kind.

Heidi, make sure that you don't forget to bring along pen and paper for the measurements. I don't think I will go UNLESS you need me to help you. With Taura and Chris there I think you will have plenty of hands. Of course, Elijah is more than willing to help!

Did you watch the Nanny 911 show? I had seen it before but I watched the other Nanny show last night and I couldn't for the life of me see where she did much of anything and there is no way those kids changed overnight just because the parents got along...most unbelievable show yet....

I like Nanny 911 the best...she means business when she goes someplace and you can see what she does to change things.

I heard that Chris on the Apprentice got arrested over the weekend....he needs to go. On American Idol Scott has been arrested too before he was on the show. Wouldn't our lives be boring without reality shows....lol :teeth:

Hi everyone! Just checking but I will be back later.

Sally, I heard about Chris. I hope he gets booted!!! Scott from American Idol is from Ohio and we have heard about the WHOLE story. It was a disorderly conduct ( arguing with girlfriend, no physical harm ) and the American Idol people were made aware of the arrest BEFORE he got to the hollywood auditions. He isn't my favorite (Kerri, the blonde) is, but it's nice to have a hometown boy in it for awhile. I want Andy (the blonde guy) to go.

Heidi, I'll be thinking of you today! Isn't it a great feeling to know that you will be moving into YOUR house!! I love that feeling!! It's new and exciting!

Well, Garry goes for his MRI for his back today. I really hope they find something so we can get him some relief!

Well, gonna go! I"ll be back later!!

TTFN

Boy was that blanket fun to make!!!!! Atleast I am now skilled at tying knots. It looks so cute, the fabric is very bright and colorful. :flower:

Mom - okay then I will see you when I get home because I have to go to the inspection right after work. Taura still hasn't called me yet so I am not sure if she will show up or not, hopefully it is a sign that she got an interview!!! Please tape all the shows tonight, thank you. Freddie took us all out to lunch to the Chinese Food Buffet, so I will be very full for awhile (hopefully last me through the inspection.)

Sally/Julie - I didn't hear that Chris got arrested, why did he get arrested...was it his temper?

Heidi, I saved the newspaper article for you regarding Chris. Basically, he was in FL with friends and didn't want to pay a 20.00 cover charge at a bar so he made a scene.
If Taura can't come call me. I will certainly run over there with Graci. No problem! The second thing she asked me today was if she was going to see Heidi and Teddy. The first was "can we go to McDonald's". Of course off we went! I got the Happy Meal Nemo today along with Buzz. Good luck to Taura and Tori!

Julie, I didn't know about Scott. He really isn't my favorite either. Actually, I don't have a favorite. If I HAD to choose it would probably be the country singer blonde girl that Simon likes. Let us know about Garry's MRI! Ted's back is killing him but he doesn't need an MRI for it. It is called snow shoveling. He did ours, a woman friend in her 70's and his dad's. Just too much heavy work in a day.

Sally, we had Nanny 911 on but really didn't watch it. We were doing the blanket and I can't seem to do two things at once.
