I guess it is time for me to open up and share my news. I have been dealing with so many different emotions and feelings I have not said to much so far.

Not sure if you remember my Daughter Missy was suppose to get married in December. She actually got married last August by a justice of the peace because of financial reasons. We were still going to go ahead with the wedding in December but then she got pregnant right away. She was so sick for about 4 months we decided to postphone the wedding until this year. Kind of weired having a wedding after they have a baby. We did find out that the baby is a boy. His name is Ethan. This will be my first grandbaby. I still feel and act like I am in my 20ies so it is really weird for me to think of being a Grandmother. I have already told her I will be Nana not Grandma, I am too young to be Grandma! Missy is due May 10. We are having the wedding August 14. Does anyone know the correct way to change the date on wedding invitations? I have about 100 invitation addressed, sealed and stamped with the wrong date. :confused3

This has been such a emotional stressful year for me. I need a vacation

Barb

Barb, glad that you got it off your chest. Holding things inside is too hard on a person. Remember what I said. We can be Grandmas (nana's together) It is so weird thinking of me as a grandma, too. I feel much too young to be one. We are having Joey and Tyler. Due date June 25th but expected to arrive sooner. Sorry, can't help on the invitations. Don't know how to do that.

Your bedroom sounds too cool. I love the idea!!

Barb - Your room sounds so cute!!! I bet it will look really good, you must take pictures when it is complete to share with us!!! Your family is just so creative. :earsboy:

I love the name Ethan, that is a very nice name. How is Missy doing now with the pregnancy? May 10th is going to come up very soon, I am sure when you hold him it won't matter to you about being too young to be a grandma!!!! Congratulations Nana, and congratulate Missy for me too. I could see how that has been very stressful on you, hang in there and remember we are ony a phone call away!!!

We now get to have 3 new babies (probably all in the same month) to talk about with our Disney family!!!! I love babies!!!

If you post on the community board about the invitations, I am sure you will get some good advice regarding what to do about the date!!!!!

This morning we had a beautiful sunrise. Oh ya, I heard from Kristy I guess Faith has been sick for 3 WEEKS and tried to go back to work yesterday but ended up leaving early. Pixie dust to Faith. :wizard:

Bonnie - thinking a lot about you. I hope you are doing okay. :grouphug: My mom and I were talking about you last night and noticed you haven't posted in a while. Stop by and check in, let us know you are okay. :flower3:

Good Morning

Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it.

Missy is doing much much better. She is in the upset about the weight she is putting on and the excited to be a Mommy stage. They are moving into a different apartment in a couple of weeks. She will be able to set up Ethan's room I think once she sees the stuff set up she will really be excited.

I am having an italian dinner party on Saturday any ideas? We have Thorn rehearsal from 9 till 2 so I will really be hauling to get everything finished. I am going to set the table and decorate tomorrow go to the store and mix up my sauce tonight, cook it on Friday and do finishing touches on Saturday morning.

Barb :teeth:

Good morning.

Heidi, that was a great idea for Barb to post on the community board for help. They are always full of help over there on ANY subject. I heard from Kristy today too. Gosh, I can't believe that Faith has been sick for so long. I bet she is just not over the last hospitalization and this illness hit her that much harder.

Barb, Italian dinner. Love all your themes. Sounds like fun. I am to have Heidi and Chris, Stacey and Richard over on Friday to celebrate Chris and Richards birthday. They both share March 15th for their birthdays. It has become tradition for me to make calzones for Richards birthday. Poor Chris never had the option for birthday dinner. Ted's sidekick at work retired so we might have to cancel. Ted wants to take him out to dinner. To think, that guy is only 52 and retired. NICE!

Bonnie, thinking of you. Hope you are doing ok with the teeth and your cousin.

Barb: Stressful, but exciting! Congrats on being a Nana! I have seen those leaf ceiling fans, they are cool.

Sandy: That was weird weather. It is snowing again here.

I lost 2 more pounds!

Also, Jerry got notified of a very nice bonus! :cool1: I just ordered my living room curtains.

Pixie dust to Faith :wizard:

Congrats Denine!! What is a typical days eating for you? Are you making most of your food?

Sandy- What is wrong with Faith. I catch bits and pieces here and there and am not sure why she is always sick.

Community board eh? I don't think I have ever posted there. I will try and figure it out.

Well lunch is almost over. Back on the phone.

Barb :teeth:

Barb - I love Italian food, can I come!! :teeth: Here is the link to the Community Borad: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33 Just copy and paste it into the address bar.

My sister is going to probably gain more weight than she wanted too!!! My friend said that Stacey at 23 weeks was the same size she was when she was 9 months pregnant and Stace still has more time to grow!!!!

Denine - Congrats to Jerry on the bonus!! :cool1:

Thanks guys!

Barb: I do make dinner and Jerry makes breakfast on the weekends. I usually have a yogurt and 2 Dole fruit cups for breakfast.

It is killing me not to cook the Italian food the way I want, but losing the weight is more important.

Heidi: Just remind her she is having twins!

Off to the treadmill.

I need to figure out something for breakfast. I leave the house at 6:30 in the morning and don't want to eat. I need to bring something to work with me and eat about 7:00. If I skip breakfast I am starving by lunch.

We have had to eat out a lot lately because we are always on the run. I get home about 4:30 and we have to leave for rehearsal about 5:00. Run Run Run that seems to be all I am doing lately.

Thanks for the suggestion about the community board. I posted the question. Wonder if Julie would have any ideas, she worked in a bridal shop for a while.
Barb :wave2:

Good day for Denine. Congrats on the weight loss AND the bonus.

I lost .4 this time. At least it is something. A little depressing but I knew the anniversary stuff would mess me up!

Went bathing suit shopping just now. Talk about depressing about the weight loss. Try shopping for suits! My tummy will never go away and neither will those unsightly legs!!

Barb, never skip breakfast. It jumpstarts your metabolism. If you don't have time, do what I do. Grab a rice cake if it is on your plan. When you eat out, try asking for steam veggies instead of the baked potato. Try grilled chicken or fish. No sauces. Cut your portion in half and ask for a box immediately when you are served and put it away. That way you won't be tempted to eat the whole thing. Applebees has a terrific WW menu. I love there grilled tilapia and mango salsa. I believe it is 4 WW points.

The last I heard Stacey was still in the negative weight gain because of morning sickness but the tummy keeps growing. I swear each and every day there is a difference.

Thanks for the tips Sandy. We eat out quite a lot because of our crazy schedules. I do try and get to the Y a couple of times a week.

I;m here...

Lots going on in work...giving appraisals, group demands, and my fav. person comes back mon. after 6 weeks out however...can not post it here since it is a public forum but maybe later! Not allowing myself to dance around yet.

Talk about weird weather...70 degrees on monday...Tuesday morning walking to work rain, not too cold...by 10AM blizzard type winds, blowing snow near white out!! Now it is just cold again. Very strange!!!!

Congrats on all the weight loss...I wish you all would stop though because what you lose comes east to NJ!!! Of course have teeth pulled does not help. Everyday I start out ok...then I hit the candy dishes at work...peanut butter cups. I think I will put signs all over "do not feed the sup!"

Barb Congratulations!!!!! Kinda wondered what happened with that wedding! Will you still do the cruise in August?

Julie=happy to hear your dad is up and about a bit. It will take awhile especially with the IDDM...takes longer to heal.

My mom comes back from Boston tomorrow...I hope I remember to drive into work.
Oh and so I don't forget.....I know I'm late...but....
Happy Belated Anniversary you Old Married Couple!! :love2: :grouphug:

Real funny Bonnie!!!!!!!!! I also loved the "do not feed the sup". LOL!! Guess I will have to call you about your favorite person. I was thinking about calling you tonight as a matter of fact but realized it was 8 your time. I hate calling too late.

SUSAN, oh Susan. Is everything ok? Hope to hear from you soon. How is your brother? I was thinking about him and you all day.

HI All! Just a quick post. I'll type more later, but I wanted to answer Barb about he invitations. One thing I can offer is that IF they are sealed, you will need to buy new envelopes and re-address ( I know it is an extra expense, but it isn't cool to send out opened and resealed invites). About the date change (since ordering new invitations can be way to costly) is to print up slips (like the ones that give directions to places etc.) that state something along the lines as Corrections to date and time) and put the slips in each invitation. If anyone asks, you can say that that was the original date they "thought about" and when they ordered the invitations, you forgot to check to see if the date was correct or that you missed that it was incorrect. Also, don't worry about the baby being before the wedding. I know as a former bridal worker, I would perfer the bride to be happy at her wedding and not have to worry about being "prego". Missy will feel a whole lot better dancing and having a wonderful time without her belly getting in the way. You will all enjoy the wedding awhole lot better. Plus it will make a nice picture with Missy in her dress holding her little "doll" looking at each other. Congrats on everything!!!!!! Nana!!!! My son use to call my mom mama and me mommy, but he nows calls her grandma and my dad papa. Be happy!

Update on my dad, they are NOT letting him leave the hospital. They are sending him to the "nursing home type" floor for at least a week. His breathing is still labored and now they think he has sleep apnea (sp). I'll keep you posted on his condition. He is STILL really bloated!! Lots of water retention. Any of you nurses know why he will still have so much water gain?

Gotta go!

TTFN

Julie, that poor guy. All he needs now is sleep apnea. Bless his heart. Glad that they aren't releasing him until HE is ready. These days insurance co. want them out the day of surgery. Well, not that bad but almost!!

Ok, getting worried about Susan. Hope everything is ok her way. It isn't like her to be gone this long without some sort of a post. Thinking of you, Susan!!

Another "freak" storm is due in this morning and then it is to be about 50 degrees. It is a sunny day so far.

Good to hear from you Julie.

Susan - where are you...we are missing you, come out to post and let us know how you are doing. I hope everything is okay. :grouphug:

Is is Friday yet?

I am so sad, I got my new computer and desktop printer at work and they could not transfer my DCL screensaver over to my new computer, AND I can't find the thread on the DIS where I downloaded it from. That was my only escape from work. I am so so sad. :sad1:

Yesterday I had my performance review and my boss had all positive an no negative things to say. She said she wished she could clone me!!!! I already know that! :smooth:

Have a great day!!

HEIDI: What else could they say but that you are wonderful! :flower3: We all knew that!

BARB: Thinking of you! Don't worry it will all work out. I was thinking (even though I am not computer literate) that maybe you could print the change on the computer & then print it out on paper that sticks & just put it right over the change.

SANDY: Thank you so much for the mail. I am afraid to change since I haven't been losing but I haven't gained either. I think I may need to cut BACK again.

GRANDMA'S, GRANDMA'S EVERYWHERE! I'm ready but no grandbabies coming. My daughter tells me after she gets married this summer she isn't having any children & she will be 30 this year. My son isn't getting married until next Fall now but I think they will have babies for me.

FAITH: Please post & let us know how you are doing. Please get well soon.

DENINE: Congrats on the weight loss. :cheer2: JERRY: Nice going!

JULIE: My Mom went to rehab after her broken ankle & it was the best. She went to P.T. every day & it let her really regain her strength. It was a beautiful facility. I hope they have the same type of places for your Dad.

Bonnie described our weather accurately. It is crazy . Hope you all have a great day. I had a horrible day at work yesterday & was really happy I had today off. I don't think I could face those patients again today. Off to Sam's in a little while. Miss you all :grouphug:. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Good Morning Everyone!

I am anxious to see what the weather is going to do today. I have heard maybe some snow to 1 inch. Right now it is still blue skys and sunny.

There is a very good chance we will not be able to go on the Aug cruise. I am so sad. But with the wedding I am thinking the chances are slim to none. I have thought about calling Disney to have them price it without the girls but I just don't know if I would enjoy it as much without them. I am even kicking around the idea of going to Disney for a week and a week cruise in December. I am just so upset at the thought of missing one of the coolest cruises and with so many of my Disney family on board, I keep ignoring it.

Right now I have an 18 year old girl yelling at me she is going on and on and on. Blah Blah Blah.....
