October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Julie: Prayers and pixie for your dad. I may be able to watch the kids for a while tomorrow. The GE guy is coming between 1 & 5 and my parents are coming over around 3 to drop off taxes and visit with Kaleigh. They haven't seen her since Christmas.

Kaleigh woke up before 5 this morning. I just now put her down for a nap. I am ready for some alcohol!!! Her normal wake up time is 8:30, but she has been waking before 8 this week.

Sandy: I really don't want surgery. My foot has been hurting all day. The relafen has taken the edge off. My DON also had PF and had cortisone injections which worked.

Heidi: Hope you get rid of your migraines with the help of bananas. Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

Bonnie: I never feel like getting out of bed!

Jeanne: I like Morgan Freeman, but I keep seeing him with this huge afro on Electric Company from when I was a kid.

Barb: You need to stop with excuses and start back on WW. Excuses are sooo easy to come up with.

Sally: I used my $25 coupon for my Spring Hill order too. I really wanted to put the hummingbird garden and red garden together, but had to forego those for now. I am getting the foundation sun garden, the naturalized shade garden, the variegated weigela and the Monte Negro lily. I looked at the sub zero roses too and all the lilacs!

I got a full mouth of X-rays & then a cleaning. The dentist told me I had a "minor" cavity & said that's not too bad. I said it would be better with no cavities! So off to the dentist AGAIN this month.

JULIE: You & your dad are in my thoughts & prayers.

BONNIE: We need you to reunite the Disney Dudettes at Virtua. You would probably NEVER get a day job but who knows you have all kinds of experience.

I am not going to tell you anything about "Million Dollar Baby" because it has a twist & has several stories going on at the same time.

It is freezing again. I can not bring myself to pick up the dogs when it is this cold. Poor babies. I wonder if they miss their MOMMY!

Jeanne, sorry about the cavity. Seems like I always end up with one. So it is that cold there, huh? I love Morgan Freeman. My gosh, I didn't realize he was on Electric Co. The more I think of it though, I can picture him.

Denine, I had cortizone shots too. They helped me for only 2 or 3 days at the very most. I must have had a severe case of pf. I had been hurting for months before I went in to the dr. The only reason I did was because we were taking the girls to WDW for their graduation present and I needed to be able to WALK! I had one surgery in Oct and the other in Nov and by March we were in WDW. I did so good. I did sit on the ground waiting for the buses or for a show just to take a load off. My family was so supportive and protective while we were there. Thanks Heidi!

I just had a pleasant experience. I was shopping and ran across a friend I hadn't seen since I started to lose weight. We hugged and then she said that it was so hard to find something on me to hug because I was so skinny. Wow, I needed that! Ok, Jeanne, Joyce and I believe Bonnie. I bought some capris on clearance there for 2.10. Not a bad price! I thought they looked familiar and driving home I figured out why. You guys have them. In fact, I think you boarded with them the last time. We can be quads. How funny!

On the run again. Think I will go get some French bread for dinner. I am making bean soup and it needs something to go along with it.

SANDY: You're going to wear the white capris with pink flamingos & lime green palm trees? We will all be a sight to behold . The four Disney Dudettes.

DENINE: I am so lucky not to have problems with my feet but I will tell you I never go barefoot & very seldom wear flip-flops. I am usually a "sneaker" person.

Yep, Jeanne. That is the capri that I bought. Do you have a Kohls Dept Store there? I promise not to wear them until later in the cruise. Don't want to detract from the ORIGINAL dudettes!! I also bought white ones with pink sunglasses and I think umbrellas. Do you guys have those? I am like you. Definitely a sneaker person. Hi to your cousin!

Heidi and I will be off shopping tomorrow so probably won't get back on until afternoon.

Julie, I will be thinking of your dad and praying for him.

Foot feels much better today. It must have been the scotch I had last night.

I spoke with Julie yesterday. She found someone to watch the kids. Her dad's surgery was moved up to 7 AM this morning. She was planning on spending the day at the hospital.

Kaleigh slept till 8 AM today.

I usually wear sensible shoes, not always tennies though. I do like to wear cute shoes with dresses.

Jeanne: I had my cavity filled in January. I hate the dentist!

Sandy: I am sure that was a confidence booster running in to your friend.

I would say TGIF, but I have to work this weekend. At least Jerry makes me breakfast when I get home.

Nothing else going on right now.

Barb and Denine, thanks for the compliment. I still have more to go but I feel much better about myself now that I noticed and other people are commenting.

Denine, good news about the foot. Keep up the scotch. Ha! That is what so depressing for me. I can only wear the "cute shoes" for a couple of hours if that. If you notice on the cruise, I will put them on right before I leave for dinner and then as soon as dinner is over I go back to the cabin to change. Can't feel "pretty" very long.

Update on Julie's dad: Julie called me this afternoon to let me know about her dad so I could post. She doesn't know when she will be able to post. He made it through surgery, a quadruple bypass. Due to his diabetes, he is no longer a candidate for any other heart surgery. Hopefully this one will work. The surgery was close to 4-1/2 hours. They will get him out of bed tomorrow. Julie was waiting to get into see her dad when she called. They hadn't been able to see him yet.

Sandy the quotes aren't a burden I just hate gettign behind because I see the dates on the calendar sheets and see how behind I had gotten! So here are a few today:

I worked this morning and came home to a nice breakfast.

It actually feels warm outside, it is 32.

Went out to eat last night with my parents.

Got my dishwasher recall fixed yesterday, so now it won't catch on fire.

I will be taking a nap today.

I work again in the morning.

I wish I only had a minor cavity...3 root extractions today...they are going to name a room after me at the dentist! 2 Weeks I get fitted for crowns ...I will be a true queen! THen the bridge. Will be finished with the dentist in about 6 wks...Yahoo. I'll be dazzling by the cruise.

Denine-tell Julie pixie dust to her dad. Good thing about the heart muscle not being damaged. By doing the bypass prior to any damage he should be right as rain.

Talked to my mom last night. The funeral was awsome... People lined up across the street in tribute to my cousin...all from the courthouse. Then a police escort. My mom was very tearful needless to say. I signed the online guestbook and posted a picture of Jimmy, his brother Paul and me from 1960...cried al the way through it. I did worship him as a child.

The palm tree capris...I have to get started on that diet!!!!

It is a really beautiful day. I got started early - had to get the car inspected for new car insurance company, buy a birthday card in Spanish for my friend in Argentina, mail the card & Summer's Easter basket & then over to Mom's.

SANDY: We got our capri's at Strawbridge's but we have plenty of Kohl's in this area. I think one of us have those capri's with the sunglasses on but I don't know if it is me, Joyce or Bonnie. I have a pair of shorts with different drinks on them too!

DENINE: Keep up the drinking if it helps the foot! Thanks for the update on Julie's Dad.

JULIE: We are all thinking of you and your Dad.

BONNIE: You are now the queen since you have a crown. I am only a princess since I only have a tiara.

Jeanne: On the other thread, I mostly post just so I know where I left off. I tis supposed to be in the 40's today and rain tomorrow and back to the 20's on Tuesday. I am so sick of winter.

Worked again this morning. At least no one new is sick. Maybe everyone is on the other side of the nasty flu now. We still have 2 people in the hospital.

Going to take another nap today. I try to catch up on sleep on the weekends.

Hello,

Had a very nice weekend. It started off with Friday game night here with my brother, his family, Stacey and Richard, Heidi and Chris and Ted and I. Had a great time playing Disney trivia and Gestures. Lots of laughs.

Saturday Ted and I celebrated our 30th anniversary (actual date March 8) and went to the movie to see Pacifier and then out to Lone Star for dinner. Shopped a little at Kohls to work off the dinner and then home. Pacifier wasn't as funny as I expected but I did love the movie. Would I watch it again?....you betcha. Bad day for the diet. Ted and I both gained one pound each. Do you think that the theater popcorn had anything to do with the gain? I don't feel bad about it though. Ted and I deserve to celebrate. We are watching our diet carefully again.

Heidi gave us our anniversary present early. She made up a FANTASTIC cd with music that you hear on the ship. She did a GREAT job picking out songs. It is so upbeat. Look out Darren, I am going to learn to do the steps to Cha Cha slide. I have never been so impressed as to when I was watching that guy dance! On top of that, she called DCL and gave us onboard credit. How wonderful is that daughter of ours?

Julie, I was so relieved to hear about your dad. Glad that he made it through surgery ok. Denine, thanks for posting!!

Susan, I did get those deals at Kohls. Can you believe a sweatshirt and capris both for 2.10 each.

I get so lost on the other thread too Jeanne. I just don't like to read 10 pages each day of what they admit to is gibberish. I am afraid that I miss something so I try to skim the pages. By the way, Denine, Bonnie, Joyce, Jeanne and Barb if you go, I will have the lanyard clips for you.

I am meeting my Dad at the hospital at 7:00 this morning. He is having the camera endoscopy done today. Wednesday he is getting another iron infusion.

Abby has started sleeping on my pillow at my face every night. She has never done that. She is eating a lot better.

Bonnie, thinking of you. Sounds liek your cousin had a lot of friends. I'm sure you will cherish your memories. Can't wait to see your dazzling smile. You'll have to send us pictures.

Sandy, sounds like your anniversary was nice. Nice present from Heidi!

Jeanne, we had nice weather yesterday and today will be 70. Tonight a front comes through and the winter weather returns. Wintry mix in the forecast for later in the week.

Denine, if you hear from Julie again, please give us an update on her dad.

I know the friends in Colorado aren't up this early but the doggies are here so off to the park by 7:00 AM. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE VAN HORN'S . Heidi is really a wonderful daughter.

JULIE: Still thinking of you & your Dad. They have come a long way with helping heart disease. My Dad died at 50 with his third heart attack but I don't even know if they were doing bypasses by in the 70's.

Mom - Found out that I have another staff meeting this afternoon, so I am going to have to workout hard after work to eliminate any chance of a migraine, remember perception is reality!! I am glad you like the present I gave you and dad.

This weekend was so nice, now I really have Spring Fever!!!! I wore shorts comfortably on Saturday and Sunday and today I am actually wearing a dress. I love this nice weather!!
