A very gray, misty, foggy day here. I am cold. Hot tea is steeping now.

I got the travel insurance last night for our August trip. Things are really coming together.

Have to go vote today. 2 school issues up. We voted for them in November but they failed. Our school system hasn't had any new money in 10 years and there are a ton of new people moving in. They really need it.

Back with my hot tea. Yummm!

Today is Fat Tuesday and you are supposed to eat. Jerry's mom was making packi or however you spell it, but we already used our bonus points for the week. She is going to freeze it until we get back from Hilton Head. We are having fettucine carbonara and a salad for dinner.

Trying to find snacks to make to take on our trip that are low in points. Not easy to find.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and we are having fish.

I'm here!!! Wow took me 1 1/2 hours to get through the other thread...just from yesterday!!!

Crunch time at work...yearly evals for 10 people, have to put everything on disk since I will work from home for 2 days to complete them...maybe if I get them done here and there I can take advantage of those 2 days!!! Ohh...I am soooo bad!!!

Nothing new here...mouth is healing however I was up at 3AM with pain from an in grown toenail!!! I can't win!!! If it isn't one end it's another!!! Took out the black salve and wrapped it up after a little surgery. Man...getting close to 50 and falling apart!!!

Weather here has been incredible!!! Mid 50's, sunny, beautiful!!!

Heidi!!! Don't you be like those other SUV nuts!!!! Jeez! I stay clear of them in the snow...they think they are invincible!!!

Hey Lori stopped in where is Krista!!!! Did she go the way of Darren, Laurie the Lurker, Diana...I miss them all!

Good thing you did cuz Heidi was going to say something to you. lol Didn't I tell you that those people can really post pages and pages. You know something....I miss everyone too. Sure wish they would pop in. It was a lot of fun with everyone. Dear old Darren. I sent him two emails about the things happening on the other thread and he hasn't responded. He is just too cute!

Bonnie, the TA just called me. It will be 89.00 for her to book it. It includes the room, a full breakfast and the shuttle would be 3.00 per person. We will have to book our own transp. to the hotel from the airport. I will email you her email address.

BONNIE: We can't got to WDW after the cruise because Joyce has a wedding on Sunday & I have to get back to work. You know we are only allowed TWO weeks during the peak summer vacation weeks.

SANDY: Started my diet AGAIN on Saturday (I don't want to tell you what I weighed when I started this diet) & I am following the diet you gave me. I am drinking my water & really being good except last night Joyce & I went to Los Amigos (we had two hell days at work) but I didn't have any Margarita's (I drank water). I ate a salad & I couldn't resist one crabcake. I HAVE to lose weight since my clothes don't fit me! I can't even squeeze myself into my 14's!!!!

Yay, my team won at Amazing Race last night!!! I was so torn when it was Kendra and Freddie vs. Kris and Jon, I was rooting for Kris and Jon because they never fought and they were so good together....I truly wanted them to win, but now that my team won.....yay Kendra and Freddie!!! I think it was a race between my team and Julie's team. I guess it starts up again in 3 weeks and BOSTON ROB and AMBER are in this one!!! I am eagerly waiting for Survivor next week!!!!


No Bonnie, I don't have the SUV attitude, I am a very safe driver. I stay away from others and drive slow because I don't want anyone hitting my baby!!!!

Haven't heard from Julie and Susan in awhile, hope they are okay.

Come on Sally, where is my reality show buddy at?

Jeanne, I am at a standstill again with my weight. I have bad weeks several in a row and then I have one good week and back to bad again. I am truly very careful. I honestly think that it is my slowed metabolism due to age. Good luck!! I am very proud of you starting it up again. And.....no margaritas to boot. Way to go. Good choices!

Heidi, I agree with you. Kris and Jon would have been the best team to win. They were a wonderful deserving team. If only that train...... Anyway, congrats on YOUR team winning.

Bonnie, Heidi really is a careful driver. As she said, it is her BABY! She is so much like Ted and the BIG BOY!

Bonnie: They post about 10 pages a day, it seems. They are a bit crazy, but it is fun to read. Hope you toe is better.

Jerry got an exceeds expecatations on his yearly review yesterday. It is almost impossible to get one of those. He usually gets "meets" no matter what he does. Hopefully this will bring in a bonus or raise or both. They haven't decided about any of that yet. WIsh him luck!


Darren really needs to start posting, at least on the other thread since he is cruising with us.

Krista: you come out for a few days and go back to hiding.

I know Julie has been really busy with the house and kids. If she can find someone to watch Brooke 2 days a week, she is going to help out in Makenzie's kindergarten. They are terribly understaffed!

Well, one levy passed (the renewal) and the other levy (new money) failed. Lorain county has been hit terribly with job losses and I guess no one wants to pay more taxes to the schools. The town where we grocery shop may actually have to close a couple of schools because their levy failed for the 8th time. They have already been taken over by the state. Another reason to homeschool.

Sandy: You just need to do something to jumpstart your weight loss again. How about a pig out day, just once to jolt things a bit?

Today it is back to snow, 1-3" by tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the warning Heidi but it was late. Stacey already got ahold of me. For all of you that don't know.....my Suburban wouldn't start at LA Weight Loss so I decided just to walk home. My wonderful, caring girls got a little upset with me for not calling them so that they could drive me home. Ahhh, they are sooooo sweet. The walk did me good but it was sooo cold. I left home without a jacket, just a sweater. Got away from the car without thinking about gloves and a jacket. My ears got to the point of tingling, they were so cold. The Suburban has now been towed to our auto shop. It is still the starter that we already spent 50.00 on. Probably wasted it because the mgr at the auto shop explained to us how the car part stores can sell their starters so cheap. Oh well, live and learn. $220.00 later and I will get the Suburban back.

I heard from Darren. He still isn't sure that he is going on the Panama Canal cruise. Quite honestly, I doubt he does. That makes me so sad. I just love him to death. He is looking into a cheaper one (on another cruiseline no less) this Sept or Oct. He will probably go with Rachel.

Well, I lost 1.4 for the week. It was a total shock. My scale said that I stayed the same. That news made up for all the car problems!

Denine, you are doing so good. Keep up the good work. I used to jumpstart my body every two weeks and I honestly feel that my body didn't like it so I talked it over with LA Weight Loss. I am not going to do it for awhile just to see. I am losing again better so will probably not do it for awhile.

Better run. I am so behind on today's stuff due to the Suburban. I just want my life back!!

Hi, everyone. Sorry I haven't posted. I just needed a little time with my baby. I found out that Abby (my cat) has chronic renal failure. I have started her on a prescription diet and continuing her ATBs. The good news is that she likes the new food. The bad news is that I am going to have to face the reality that she is getting old and I won't have her forever.

My brother is responding well to the ATB treatment. Yes, I agree, he is very lucky to have gotten it diagnosed and started on a treatment. I'll keep you all posted when anything changes or we know when the surgery will be. Thanks for all of your continue thoughts, prayers and pixie dust. Your support means more than you will ever know.

We had a pancake supper at Turner's school last night for Fat Tuesday. Pancakes and sausage cooked by the Dad's Club. Not a bad evening.

Congrats to Heidi as the winner of our littel Amazing Race contest. I will be sending the Reality Show Winner's "trophy" to you in the next few days. Remember, we have to do this again and Heidi will pass the "trophy" on to the next winner and so on. So, should Survivor be the next one??
