October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Poor Ted had to fight putting on a new starter for the Suburban. Luckily it stopped working in the driveway and didn't strand Graci and me somewhere!

I do feel very relieved about getting a room and transportation too. Now I need to buy airline tickets from Orlando to home. Can't get the deal flying back as I did going to CA. I am gambling and holding off. MIght be a crazy action!

Bonnie, sorry to hear about your teeth. Going to a dentist is never fun. Ours is like a friend because Graci's mom works there and he is a DCL fanatic so we always have so much to talk about.

We just got back from stroller and car seat shopping. I was amazed that the twin stroller cost as much as ours did 24 years ago. They got matching car seats and twin stroller. Babies R Us gave us a twin discount and also accepted a coupon. Now the names are Joey and Tyler.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BIG GUY! :jumping1: :bday:

Sandy-is that $149 double occupancy? They pick you up from LAX? Heck, I'll do a bottle of champagne!!! And I will have beautiful teeth by then! I told him today that he has to be finished by August.

Jeanne-I will be flying in either late Thursday or someday Friday. I haven't checked on flights yet. I was hoping to use my miles even if it is one way to CA and then Southwest from Orlando. Any thoughts to staying in Orlando until Monday? That is Labor day.

Mouth is sore...still oozing but I am eating pleanty of ice cream, rice pudding and trying some mac & cheese.

:cheer2: :cheer2:
Go Eagles!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

This area is going absolutely wild with the Eagles...just saw Ryan's jazz orch with Jill Scott...AGAIN! Even the Philadelphia Orchestra is getting into it. :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I wish I was going through the super bowl excitement. It is always so much fun. At least I can live it through all of you. My mom is going to watch it and didn't know who to root for so I told her Eagles for you guys. Now she is excited. I wish I could see Ryan's group! Will be thinking about you guys all day. Does Jeanne get to watch it or does she have to work?

Bonnie, I was going to ask if you would like to stay at the HI. Wasn't sure where all the dudettes were staying. It is 149.00 not sure about the double occupancy. With tax 169.00 or something so it did get pushed up kind of high with tax. But then again it does include all transfers. I am going to search out my own transportation from airport to hotel to see the cost difference. The room without transportation would have been 99.00. The TA is just not contacting me so I don't know what the "group" is paying. At least I have a ROOM and I know that I will have transportation some way or another. There is a liquor store across the street to buy wine and pepsi. I HAVE to buy Two Buck Chuck wine while in CA. I have ALWAYS wanted to try it. Do you think the liquor store would deliver to the port? :rotfl2:

Ouch Bonnie, your mouth sounds sore. Hope it gets better soon. At least I like everything that you are eating!

Get this, Heidi just changed the tv station and Beauty School Dropout was on Grease. I will never forget that. I couldn't believe I gave into peer pressure.

Time to go for our Sunday lunch/brunch. See ya!

:cheer2: GO EAGLES !! :cheer2:

I couldn't believe I gave into peer pressure.

Nothing like peer pressure when it is for good old fun! Come on Sandy, you had a blast!

Feeling a little out of sorts today...probably the trauma on the system.

I think I will book the same deal Sandy...I'll take the champagne on the ship with me though. Sounds like a terrific deal if you ask me. I was going to see about staying with my cousin outside LA but I would feel like I was imposing although I would like to see her and Sham...maybe my favorite aunt would come down.

The day is dragging!!!! I want the super bowl to happen now!!! Does your mom know she is rooting for the underdogs?
:cheer2: :cheer2: Fly Eagles Fly! :cheer2: :cheer2: On the Road to Victory! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Another weekend, over.

We had a nice time at the Big Guy's party yesterday. Kaleigh had a blast! She didn't get to bed until 10 PM, but still woke up at normal time, didn't have a nap and went to grandmas house today. She was supposed to play with her cousin today, but Jerry's brother didn't come because Alyssa was throwing up. Kaleigh did fall aslepp on the way home. She is going to bedSandy: early tonight.

No plans to watch the Super bowl.

I found a great price for a flight to LA out of Columbus. We would have to drive the 2 hours to get there, stay over night and leave the next morning. Still working on the flight back.

Sandy: We don't understand Super Bowl excitement in this town or any other excitement. We haven't won anything in our lifetime and probably won't.

Jerry heard on the radio not long ago a local personality referring to Cleveland as the armpit of the nation. It fits!

Fly Eagles Fly!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  I see they were the first ones to score....woohoo up by 7 points....GO EAGLES!!!

Since it is halftime, I thought i would post so you guys would know where I have been tha lst few days. My brother went to the surgeon on Thursday and still had a fever. The surgeon siad he didn't care what the TEE test said, he was admitting him for additional test. As it turns out, my brother does have endocarditis and has been on IV antibiotics since Thursday evening. They did discharge him from the hospital today and he will have a home health nurse come out to administer his daily IV bag. He may have to tkae this for up to 6 weeks. Thank God the surgeon was on top of things!

I spent all day yesterday doing paperwork for my Dad's bills, insurance and taxes. I finally took a break from it all and ran a couple of errands. When I got home, I settled into bed and watched a little TV. With Paul and Turner away for the weekend, it was a quiet relaxing evening. My cat, Abby, was having difficulty settling down. Very unlike her since she sleeps 23 1/2 hours of the day. She will be 16 in May. By midnight I realized something definitley was wrong with her since she couldn't sit, lie down, and she was licking herself a lot. After checking out the situation, I realized she had urine slowly dripping out one drop at a time uncontrollably. I called the vet and they wanted me to take her to the ER vet. So, 12:30 this morning, I take her in and by the time she gets there she starts acting a little better. By then, her bladder was also empty. They put her on an antibiotic and let me bring her home but she has to go in for some diagnostic tests tomorrow. I got home around 3:00 this morning and hardly slept the rest of the night (morning).

Please continue to keep my brother, Jimmy, and my kitty, Abby, in your prayers.

Sorry I missed Happy Birthdays to teh Big Guy Garry and to Jerry! Happy Belated Birthday guys!!:bday: :cake:

Back to the game and. . . . . . . . Fly Eagles Fly!

.........on the road to VICTORY!

Poor Abby! Hope she gets better soon. As far as Jimmy is concerned: he has the perfect doctor. Just like you said, good thing he stayed on top of it!

Denine, I felt pooped listening to your weekend.

Bonnie, I will send you the link to the Holiday Inn. We are flying in Friday morning. Ok, I admit I had fun being a beautette while fearing I would have a heart attack!! :rotfl2:

TOuchdown!!!! Go Eagles!!! :cheer2:

Susan...good pick up by the surgeon! SO sorry to hear about Abby...I hope all is ok with her

I can't stand this back and forth!!! I think I might go to bed and find out what happened in the morning....or actually if we will the racket outside will wake me up. TOO STRESSFUL!!!!!

We booked our flights for our August trip!!!!!  I couldn't beat the price to drive the 2 hours to Columbus.

Sue: Glad the doc decided to put Jimmy on IV ATB's. Poor Abby. I hope she feels better. You have had a rough weekend. Pixie dust.

Jeanne, just had to tell you that I was thinking of you the whole game and rooting for the Eagles!!! (I had absolutely no other connection in the world to either team :confused3 ) My condolences :sad2:

Hi guys! Couldn't believe the link from my old email server still took me right to the thread! Gotta be a record breaker now, huh? :cool1:

Hugs to all.
Lori

Oh well...there is always next year. At least they put up a good fight and it was only a 3 point spread. Hey! At least my one nurse won't be taking off tomorrow!

Glad to see you rooted for us Lori. It got you out anyway! Hi to Katie, Cody and Ben.

So close, Eagles lost by 3 points. I was really rooting for the Eagles, lost a few bets!!! I guess there is always next year.

:cheer2: :Pinkbounc Happy Belated Birthday Gary. :cool1:

Susan - Sounded like you had a rough weekend. Thank god your brother's doctor was on top of things. Poor Abby, our little fur babies are such a major part of our family. Continued prayers and pixie dust headed the Schroll's way. :wizard: :flower:

It is Monday again. Nothing going on here.

Lori: Nice to hear from you again.

:confused3 Who is this Lori?? :rotfl2: I crack me up!

Poor Eagles. They tried so hard.

Weighed in today. Gained the .2 that I lost on Fri. So far for the week I am at a goose egg. Poor me. But it was my fault. I had a few chips two of those days plus a sopapilla.

Gotta run. Love to all.

Bonnie, if you are serious about the Holiday Inn you better call them as someone posted today that the website said it was full. Their website said the same thing for me too but I was able to get a room by actually placing a phone call. I didn't offer that info on the other thread in hopes you can beat them.

:wave2: Signing off the computer for the day. Big tv night for me. 7th Heaven, Everwood, Fear Factor, and Super Nanny.

Where's the snow? :confused3 It was supose to snow this morning and there isn't any white stuff on the ground.

Nothing new here, so I will just say Good Morning!!!
