To add onto my hectic schedule, I have decided to try and be a consultant for Pampered Chef. It is a little crazy schedule with all the appts. she wants me to make but we will see how it goes. So if anyone wants to order anything...let me know!!!

Okay I am starting to write out my trip report at lunch. Here is day 1:

Saturday – September 2, 2006: Traveling
Our vacation has finally begun. We woke up at 2:00am to get to my parents house by 2:45am so that we can all drive out to the airport together to save on parking expenses since we would be gone for so long. We get to the airport without a problem, quickly eat at McDonalds and board our plane. This is the first flight the girls have taken since they can remember, they were excited and nervous. Plane arrived in Orlando at 1:30 just like scheduled; the flight went by fast since the girls had to do homework. Went downstairs to catch the Magical Express, we didn’t have to wait long at all to get on the bus. Unfortunately the bus driver was lost and took us all the way to Pop Century instead of All Star Resorts and had to turn around and take us to All-Stars. My parents took a town car so that they could have a grocery stop and get some Pepsi for me dad. They actually beat us to the hotel and were unloading from the van when we arrived. Getting off the bus we saw that Chris’s family was eagerly waiting for us. My mom and I checked in while the rest of the crew went shopping at the gift store in the resort. We stayed in Toy Story by Buzz Lightyear and really enjoyed it.

We had dinner reservations for Chef Mickey’s and waiting for us was some DISers that we cruised with 2 years prior. We had a table for 10. Our cast consisted of me, Chris, Emily, Amanda, Karen, John, Brittany, Morgan, Rachel, and Fran.

Our hostess took us to the corner table near the windows and I had a growing concern about the birds that were congregating above us. The waitress assured us that the birds never cause any trouble, as soon as she got that out of her mouth a bird pooped on me, I was mortified. I took it in great stride and laughed with the others, but I was so disgusted. Chris’s family commented on how well I took it. What made it worse was being an outsider and not having any of my family with me and this being the first day with Chris’s entire family. Our waitress felt bad and asked what she could do, Chris jokingly said a round of drinks and a few minutes later she was back to take our adult drink orders that were on the house. She brought out all the kids Shirley Temples with Mickey straws and light up ice cubes, they were so cool. The food was good and the character interactions were great. The girls loved getting the characters autographs. I am sure I would have thought the food was awesome but with the bird poop incident I lost my appetite, the sundae spread was my favorite part. We planned to go to MGM after dinner, but MGM closed down early; so we decided to take a swim and head for bed from our long travel day. Found out today that Chris’s brother, Jerry, would be joining us for the rest of our vacation at WDW. He arrived late Saturday/early Sunday morning.

Here is a picture of Amanda and I toasting to the bird for getting us free drinks and for me being a team player.

Hey Barb - do you and Sally (and whoever else in your family) want to go to our pampered Chef party we are hosting on October 21st?

Sandy: So good to hear from you. Too bad about all your computer troubles, but I hope they get them fixed soon. :surfweb:

Glad about Bonnie's reunion with her family! :grouphug:

Heidi: The birds were inside Chef Mickey's? Yuck! Waiting to read more of your trip! :crazy2:

Stacey: Julie used to sell Pampered Chef. :stir:

Kaleigh was NOT good at PT today. She kept getting into trouble and getting in people's way. I already told her she was not coming with me on Friday. I felt like a circus elephant on a ball with the stuff they had me doing today! :dumbo:

After PT we went to the library to sign up for the new reading program. We need to read together as a family for 8 hours by November something and we get entered to win a ticket to see Charlottes Web or win a book of the same. I think Kaleigh also gets to see a puppet show. I checked out a bunch of Halloween books that we have already read for a total of 45 minutes of reading today. I am not going to count the reading we do in school.

It is so nice to see Jazzy chasing Hera around again. He is feeling so much better.

Until tomorrow.

Denine - your comment about feeling like a circus animal was hilarious!!!! Yes, I was pooped on inside Chef Mickey's!!!!

Well I have had the hardest time getting my pictures on a CD from the trip. Never ever go to Walgreens. They told me that their hard drive was shot and that they needed a new one, I may never get my pictures on a CD. Unfortunately I am depending on Walgreens because I already deleted some of the pictures. I went on Friday to get them developed and it is now Tuesday and I don't have them....so much for 1 hour. I have called them and went into the store every day to make sure they do not delete my pictures until I get them on a CD correctly. What they were handing me is a CD full of pictures, but it was about 200 pictures duplicated 4 times. okay, vent over.

Today is our CFC kick-off that I get to work. This is when our charity organizations come in and have booths set up so that Fed employees can make donations. I will be serving hot dogs, chips, and a soda for $1.00!!!!

Good Morning!!

Good to see you posting again Sandy. I have certainly missed hearing from you every day. I hope these computer problems end soon. Good for you Ted to get in there and make sure they notice everything!

I am glad to hear Bonnie was able to go to the christening. What a special event. Tell her we miss her and wish she would come back to our board!

Jeanne-tick tick tick. Soon you will be holding your beautiful baby granddaughter!!! YIPEEEEEEE

Ethan has grown soooo much in the month they were gone. He is trying to master running backwards. He is such a doll. I love him sooo very much  He giggles ALL the time. :love2:

Heidi-Please do post the pictures. We would LOVE to see them. I am so glad the girls had such a good time.

Julie-How is your crazy buzy life going?

Not sure what is up with my Mom. She is sending email so I guess her computer is working but still not able to log on to the board. Next time I am over there I will try and figure it out.

Heidi: Glad I made you laugh!

The honeymoon with school and Kaleigh is over. She says school is boring and she doesn't want to do it anymore. I think it is more likely that she is not used to the structure. The thing is, she does have fun when we are doing school. She just won't admit to it.

Gray and rainy again.

Nothing else going on.

Wow I just realized I have not read this whole page! I am reading now to catch up.

Can you believe it? Not baby yet! Zoe is officially five days overdue. They gave me a formula for a "cocktail" :drinking1 that is supposed to bring on labor. It is two ounces of grape juice, one ounce of castor oil and one tsp. baking soda mixed together and you drink it fast. If she doesn't go into labor by Thursday, she is coming into the hospital to be induced Thursday night. Wouldn't you know it! This is the weekend down Ocean City for the Craft Fair.

So glad to hear Bonnie went to Christian's baptism. Did Frank go too?

HEIDI: Loved the pics. Brings back all those WDW memories. Did anyone get a magnet for their car from Disney Cruise Lines?

DENINE: Reunions are all the same. It is fun seeing old high school friends but the jerks it high school are still jerks just older.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE VAN HORN'S :bday: :cake: party:

Hope you all have a Tremendously Terrific Tuesday. Toodles  :earseek: JEANNE

Jeanne - thanks for the reminder.

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY MOM!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :dance3: party: :rockband: :bday: :cake: :cake: :bday:

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY DAD!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :dance3: party: :rockband: :bday: :cake: :cake: :bday:

Julie: You are slacking!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY AND TED! :cheer2:

Jeanne: Who gave you that nasty sounding formula? EEWWW!

May not be on tomorrow. I have a bunch of stuff to do and something has to give since I work Thursday and Friday. Two of Kaleigh's lessons will have to be on Saturday. They are only partials of each lesson. We are making gingerbread men to go along with the story and boiling an egg for something. I could boil the egg, but Kaleigh is supposed to see how it is done.

We are having Kaleigh's pictures taken tomorrow at 5 PM which means I have to get her a bath before then so her hair is pretty.

SO, I don't know when I will be back on. I will try.

Sorry to let you down Denine, I've just be laying around! ;)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SANDY AND TED!!
:bday: :cake:

Will you ever forgive me Sandy?

This weekend was nuts! Makenzie had her soccer game (they tied 1-1) and then we were getting ready for my cousin's clambake when Garry got a call from work. They found a dead body in the creek and he had to go. SO, I took the kids and went to the clambake, it started to pour, thank goodness the kids were inside and stayed dry and mud free. Came home, got the kids ready for bed, then got Garry something to eat.
Sunday, we tried to have some kind of relaxing day. We watched football and I got the girls clothes out to pack for the cruise. I started to get the box I'm shipping ready.
Monday was school and soccer practice.
Today was school and I had an eye appointment to get some more contacts. Since I haven't been there for almost 3yrs (oops) my eyes haven't changed! TRIED to get some last minute stuff for the cruise, picked up the kids, stopped by the station to say hi to daddy, then got my hair done and back home, got something to eat and then got the kids ready for bed. Tomorrow is school, a parent teacher meeting at school for the kdg-er's and Makenzie and Garry have Logos (our churches' version of PSR). Not to mention homework, reading nightly, baths, and everything else I haven't mentioned. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE C*** THAT GARRY IS GOING THROUGH AT WORK!!! He is now the public relations person at the station. Which means that if the press has to interview someone, HE'S IT! Boy do we need this trip!

I've got almost everything out for the kids. Mine is pretty simple as well. I have a few more things that I would like to get for Big Garry and a few small things, SO I hope I can get it done by this weekend. I would like to have everything packed by Monday except the "everyday use stuff". Tuesday I get my nails done. I haven't had that done is soooooooooo long, it should be nice to have again!

Well, that's about it for us over here. I'll be back hopefully later today!

Well I have good and bad news. I will start with the good news first; Chris and I will probably be going to DisneyLand for a quick weekend trip in November. I haven't been there in over 15 years and he has never been. He won a 2 night stay at a Best Western Hotel (or something like that) threw work, I have a $230 credit on American Airlines, and my friend's sister works at guest services for DL so she can get us in for free!!! All it would cost us is food and 1 rt plane ticket for Chris!! I am excited.

My bad bews is my pictures at Walgreens. I called every day and stopped in the store every day to make sure that they would not delete my images that were on their computer, (that for whatever reason they could not get burned on a CD). I did this because unfortunately my trusting self trusted that Walgreens actually put all the pictures on the CD the first time I went there, well guess what they didn't. Called yesterday to find out they were fixing the computer and that my CD would be burned as soon as they were done and they would call me (great, yay...finally get my pictures after almost a week.) No call, went to dinner.....no call, we went to the store to see what was up only to find out they deleted all of the images. The girl that was working there picked up a piece of paper that was on the computer and written on it was, "DO NOT DELETE VAN HORN'S IMAGES, has been deleted off memory card." The manager's response was, "so what do I owe you money or something?" No you idiot I paid for 8 CD's and have 0....I don't want my money back, I want the pictures. I hate hate hate Walgreens now. So now I am hoping that the other DISers that we cruised with will have some of the pictures. Some of them I know they won't have, but maybe they will have 1 or 2. I am so sad. I went looking for a computer last night and found an HP that I want. I am hoping it will go on sale, if it does not go on sale by Christmas than I am buying it. That is Chris and my Christmas present to each other!!!

Mom - we turned Chris into a Disney nut!!!!! If you read this he said you can crash in our room if you want to pay for plane tickets to DL and go with us.

Happy birthday to youuuuuuu (picture me singing my little heart out here)
Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuu (Now I have added a little dancing motion)
Happy birthday dear Sandy and Teedddddd....lalalalalamimmimimi
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning!

Heidi-I am so sad for you losing your pictures. :grouphug: I hope the other cruisers can help you out.

Julie- Your life sounds hectic and fun. Run Run Run :moped: What a great Mom you are.

Explain to me about mailing stuff ahead of time. I have never heard of that until Sandy mentioned it before they left. Why do you do it and what do you send and do you mail it all back too? I see another helpful hint to add to the "Cruise Helpful Hints" I have been collecting for a while. I have them on a word document and love to add new things to it!

Jeanne- SOOOO close now. You will be cuddling a precious princess: baby girl soon!!!! YIPEEEEEEE

Denine- Ok tell me what you think of this idea. I want to start making casseroles on Friday for the week ahead and freezing them then when I come home during the week I just take one out of the freezer and pop it in the oven. Do you have good recipe's? Do you have trouble with cut cookies? Mine always stick.

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about your pictures. Hopefully someone will have some pictures for you.

Barb, I got the idea from Sandy as well. I sent ahead early our pirate costumes, All the dress shoes, an extra EMPTY dufflebag, pull ups for Brooke at night, big plastic cups so we don't have to use the small ones at the drink station, purell pump and wipes, suntan lotions, extra wipies for Brooke, swim shoes for the kids, and some gum. I think that's about it. Most of that I COULD pack in our luggage, but this way it makes it easier for me to pack now that some of that stuff is gone. Most of that stuff is "use and toss" so I won't have much left to bring back. I will send a box home after the cruise from WDW. SO I won't have over stuffed suitcases coming back. The address to send to the ship is on the cruise board.

Well, gotta go! I'll be back later!

TTFN

Barb - my sister cooks that way. She cooks one full day and freezes all the meals. She then takes whatever she wants out of the freezer to heat up for that night. She has liked it so far. One of these days I will get with her and do it too, sounds like a great time saver.

:wave2: Hi guys, it's me again.

Barb, you just have to talk to Stacey about her once a month cookbook. It looks pretty good. It was actually written by someone that I know but the girls were too young to remember. She lives here in the metro area. Heidi borrowed another one from me from the same lady. Something like "cooking with kids". The author is Mary Beth Lagorborg.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I feel so special.

Julie and Denine, SOON, very SOON!!

I ran to Costco to put my pics on a CD today being I still don't have a computer. Heidi, I have a CD for you as well. Then I ran over to Rite Aid and made copies of the cruise pics. I can't stand that I am unable to view the pics and pick and choose which ones I want to print. I know that I can do it at Costco but I would much rather look at them at home and decide, edit or whatever.

Barb, I really like sending a package to the DCL. It lightens the load on the plane. Since they have reduced weight restrictions it was hard to pack for the longer cruises. I pretty much only ship what I won't be taking home. Like Julie, I was prepared to ship once off the ship on the PC cruise but didn't have to. Everyone including me was just tossing things out. I really think that the stateroom hosts made out like bandits on that cruise! :rotfl:

Dying to know if Zoe was born yet.

Hugs to all of you. Oh and by the way, I am pretty much done shopping for my Secret Santa family.

:tinker: I'm thinking that Zoe MIGHT be here OR on her way!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :tinker:

Well, Garry has had a busy day. Today he was in the newspaper (metro section of the Plain Dealer, Denine) talking about the dead body in the creek from Sat. He was on the 5pm news talking about getting drunks off the roads and harder punishments, and NOW he got called to a scene of an accident where a 5yr was in the front seat and was hit by the airbag and they believe he isn't going to make it. :sad1: Thank goodness The Big Guy is at Logos with Makenzie. I did call his friend to make sure Michael was home with his mom and he was. Did I tell you guys we NEED THIS VACATION!!!!! :sail: :drinking1 :boat:

Ok, sorry I haven't gotten back to the "gift exchange rules" but here it goes:

1. Spend no less then $20 dollars. You CAN spend more if you want
2. It originally started as an ornament exchange, but you DO NOT have to send an ornament.
3. You can buy something for the whole family OR you can buy each individual family member a small something
4. MUST BE MAILED BY NOV.30th
5. BE NICE and DON'T look at the postmarks!!!!!! If a return address is needed, put the Lauter's down and I can get any package to the right place if it gets returned to sender for any reason. I can PM you with my address if you need it.
6. We will do a group opening on IM around 2nd week in Dec if that's ok.

Sound good to everyone? If you guys want to change the rules, just let me know! Thanks!

Well, gotta go get something for Garry's dinner for when he comes home, whenever THAT will be!

Good Morning!

I have 30 stockings done only another 30 to do. They are cute though.

Good to hear from you Sandy. I will have to look for that cook book. I keep trying to find ways to make cooking enjoyable. I just don't like it!
