Good Morning everyone!!

Sandy-CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am very proud of you!! :cheer2:
You have accomplished something most people can not.

Jeanne-Thanks for the update on Bonnie. I knew she was ok since you are so close to her but I sure was wondering why she left us. Tell her good luck with everything. I hope she has found long lasting happiness.

I am feeling better today. I am still coughing but my voice is better. I spent most of my life hardly ever getting sick once I hit ummm 40 something I get sick a couple time a year. BLAH!

Denine- I remember all to well the testing days. Thought it would never end but now that the kids are grown I look back and laugh. I LOVED having kids they are so much fun. What a blessing it is to have them even though they push push push you.

Julie-How is school going. You are so busy with the kids. How fun is that!!

Heidi: That is too funny about Chris!

We bought a TV last night and kept it under $150.

It is pouring rain, but the grass needs it.

Jeanne: All anybody asks me at work is when is my next vacation?

Jerry was talking to a person at work, she is in New York, about DVC. They are members. They only have 210 points and didn't know they could add on. I am sure her husband will thank Jerry :teeth:

We actually busy this morning. I put bread in the bread machine, made oatmeal cookies and chopped up tomatoes and put them to marinate for dinner tonight. We are going to a tent sale after dinner. This rent to own furniture place we went to last week sells it's used furniture and they told us they were having a big sale this week. So we are going. I hope I can find something good for the classroom. I found a great table and chairs and Value City Furniture which is right next door, but they wanted $400, which is great for brand new, but didn't want to spend that much. I could probably find something at a garage sale, but I am just not a garage sale person.

Kaleigh is downstairs watching Davey & Goliath, anyone remember that show? We found it on DVD and thought Kaleigh would like it. She is also complaining that her ear hurts and is blaming the cookies. I gave her Tylenol and told her it wan't the cookies. I hope she isn't getting an ear infection. She hasn't been sick.

I will probably be MIA the next 2 days. I work both days and we are going out Saturday evening to play cards.

Denine, how funny..... :rotfl2: just what kind of cookies do you make that has that affect ?

Why did you decide to home school? I have a friend in Ohio whose two daughters home schooled their kids and one of the fathers was a school principle. They were allowed to go with the school on field trips, etc. The teacher in charge of one of the trips told her that her kids were better behaved and minded much better than her regular students. The kids were ahead of the classes also.

I transplanted a rose bush and dug another bush up and throw it away this morning. It was too hot to work out any longer so I am scrapbooking for awhile.

I got the scrapbook room all cleaned and am waiting for some racks that I bought at a store going out of business.
I went early yesterday and bought a lot of things then I met Barb in the afternoon and bought some more. I am not going back,...40 percent off is too hard to resist.

Have you ever had a day where you just NEED to burst out in tears and can't? I feel so stressed, sad, disappointed, overwhelmed. You name it. It is mainly because the computer died again. We are thankful that we have a warranty on it but it doesn't help me retrieve my info I lost for the trip. This old computer doesn't have a printer attached and it runs so slow that trying to even start things over will take a lifetime. They told me it could take 5-7 days but if they can't fix it, it needs to be shipped to Sony and it could be well over a MONTH.

Heidi, do you think that if I don't get it back by the time we leave that you could print the cruise roster with the stateroom number on it? We need it for the CD's. Do you know that we can't even print out the magnets for the Disney experience? I have it on CD from the tshirt, though. Do you think I could give you 3 sheets of magnet paper and you could print it from home?

Ok guys, I am not sure when and if I will be back on. It takes so long to just get on and I have a zillion things to do plus I don't like to get on when Graci is here. She is napping right now so I am taking advantage. If not, hold the fort down.

Hugs.

:cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :woohoo:  :bounce:

I am back!!!!! Computer is up and running. You don't understand how excited I am. Best Buy was so good to us. You have to hear about our rotten night though. We took the computer to Best Buy and they instantly worked on it for us. We then went out for dinner. Came home and when Ted opened the back of the Pathfinder the computer actually fell out onto our driveway. The front plate fell off and it bent the cover. Long story short, it is working just fine. :wizard:

Hiddi Ho everyone! Well, I'm glad tomorrow is friday. It is the BIG GUY'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!! :cool1: :cool1:

He is sooooooooooooo excited!!! Wed. we had an orientation for kdg. and he ended up crying when we left because he didn't want to gohome! My only problem will be BROOKE!! She thinks SHE's going to school too! It should be interesting. Makenzie had a great first day and second day as well. She loves her teacher and her class. So hopefully she will keep that attitude up! Her teacher already knows that we are cruising on Oct. and she said that it was fine and but she wanted to go! I told her she could because we do have two cabins. Garry's teacher won't be a problem either. When Makenzie was in her class, we went on the cruise and she had no problem either. So thats good!

Sandy, I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! This week has been a tough one for me too! It started out sunday night with our kitty Tinkerbell just not acting right. She just sat on the rug by the sink, didn't come up for dinner, nothing. So I was concerned and that she wasn't eating or drinking so I called the vet as soon as it opened at 7am. They wanted to see her so I took her out that morning. The vet checked her out from head to toe and didn't find much of anything but she was dehydrated so they wanted to run some blood work and take an x-ray to see if she had maybe swallowed something. SO, she stayed there overnight and I called the next day to see what was going on with her. She still wasn't eating and the blood work came back fine, the x-ray was ok and she had no temp. They thought that there could be a blockage in her intestines, so they ran another test with dye to check if it was ok, WHICH was another night there. I called right after I took Makenzie to school on Wed. and they said she still wasn't eating and wanted me to come it to see if I could get her to eat. I went and took HER food, but she didn't eat anything. BUT I could tell that she just wanted out of there. The vet came in and said her problem could be any number of things and wanted to do either an ultrasound or exploritory surgery. I said there is no way I could do that cost-wise. He said it could be some kind of cancer or something. I said I wanted to take her home and to give me some meds (antibiotics) IF it was some kind of infection and I was then going to watch her and see what course nature was going to take. We then dropped her off at home, ran to get my dad a sandwich, got the kids lunch, went to kdg. orientation, stopped by the station to say hi to daddy, then back to get Makenzie from school. Needless to say, the week has been going like that!!! I can say that Tinkerbell has started to eat some food (hard and soft) so I'm hoping that she is going to be ok. I have three pills I have to give her daily. One is for getting her to eat, one is an antibiotic, and the other is cortizone (sp) to treat a "possible" problem since they really didn't know why she wasn't eating. I did call the vet today to tell them that she was eating some and seemed to be acting more like normal, so we shall see!!!

Oh yeah, this morning the station swore in another officer so I was at city hall for awhile for that. Garry said I didn't have to go, but I thought being the captain's wife....... plus I did go to school with the new officer's brother, so I wanted to go to say hi and show my support.

Other then that..... nothing exciting going on around here.

Barb, glad to see that you are feeling better!

Heidi, your post made me laugh!! I bet you turn Chris into a disney nut like all of us!!! So when is you cruise and when do you come back?

Denine, all I can say is one day at a time!! I'd like to say that it will get better, BUT.... well,it will but something else will take its place!!! Hang in there!

Jeanne, I would love to hide away in you suitcase to be one of the dudettes on this cruise. I will think of you guys often! So, Bonnie has a "sweetie" huh? Good for her. Tell her we miss her!!!

Well, gonna go. This post is long enough! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend (for those who will be MIA this weekend) and I will check in tomorrow.

TTFN

Hi Julie, sorry about Tinkerbell. Hope she is on the mends!! WHAT???? The BIG GUY in kindergarten???? Oh my, where has time gone. It seems like just yesterday he was drinking off the deck of the ship.

Julie - so sorry to hear about yout Kitty. I hope she recovers quickly and hope the meds will help her out.

Have fun at your 1st day of school Gary!!!!! How excitinge.

I am so glad it is Friday. We are dropping my doggy off sometime this weekend to do a trial run. She will be staying at my uncle/aunt/cousins house for the 2 weeks we are gone on vacation. They have 2 dogs and 1 of their dogs does not like Sable so we are testing to see how spending the night goes. I hope well, otherwise they said they would just let her out 2 times a day and leave her at our house...I do not like that one bit because she will be so lonely.

Barb - how are you feeling today?

Good Morning!

I am feeling better but still have this stupid cough. Last night I stayed up until after 1:00 am to give Bob a chance to get some sleep before I bothered him coughing. Sure enough not long after I laid down I started up. BLAH. I am hoping to make more improvement today.

I still am amazed at the Summer we are having. I know for you Easterners rain is no big deal but for us here it is a very big deal. It has rained almost every day all summer. We usually go 2 -3 weeks with nothing then a short storm will move through. I am loving this weather. Things are soooo green. Even out East where is it dessert conditions is green. Makes me wonder what is in store for the winter

Sandy-Glad to hear your computer still works after the tumble. My Dad is absolutely a genius when it comes to fixing computers. I am not just saying that because he is my Dad but I can honestly say I have never seen him not be able to fix someones computer.

Julie-I hope Tinkerbell is doing better today.

Last night I was able to talk to Ethan on the phone. He is sooo funny he talks and talks and talks. I have got to get it on the video recorder. Missy is very very quiet and not real out going. Boy is Ethan going to change her. He is so social and chatters all the time. I can see him now volunteering Missy for everything. Heeheehee can't wait to see it :rotfl2:

Today I have a hair appointment then I am going to the church to start setting up my classroom. Another busy day.

Denine-When do you an Kaleigh start school? I bet she is pretty excited.

Speaking of rain, Barb. It is starting to storm here. Lots of thunder and horrible lightning. Rain is on it's way. I can smell it. Better not stay. I was just checking to see it the computer works. Didn't boot up right but it did boot up. Good thing? I guess??

I am off to the Comedy Works tonight to see a pretty good show. Have a great weekend.

Heidi: I am off to give Kaleigh a bath soon!

I made it on. T Hought I would be busier tonight.

We did go to the tent sale and bought a table and chairs. It will work great. That thing is heavier than a dead elephant! There is some wear, but I am going to touch up the spots with some stain and then polish the table and chairs. We only paid $230 and the chairs are even cushy! We rearranged the room tonight. We just need a love seat, but that will have to wait. They are having another tent sale in May.

I went to the doctor today for my back. Since the injection didn't do anything he said that wasn't the problem and we are back to it being a muscle. UGHHH!!! Now, he wan'ts me to go to PT twice a week. I go next Wednesday and I am taking Kaleigh with me to see how she does. I would hate to have to do it after Jerry gets home from work.

Julie: Sorry about Tinkerbell. I hope she is getting better. I hope Garry enjoyed his first day of Kindergarten!

Barb: THat is us with Kaleigh. She has us so out of our realm. We are quiet, hide in the background kind of people. Kaleigh is front and center!

Sally: There are too many reasons to list for us wanting to homeschool. I hope it works out.

We start school September 18th.

Sandy: I am glad you got your computer up and running. And yes, I have had days like that! I feel like that with my back. It hurts, but they can't figure out why. I take 5 Aleve a day. If I don't, I really feel it. I am ready to give up and just know that it is going to hurt the rest of my life. I just want to join Curves so I can tone up and lose the rest of the weight.

Kaleigh's ear is fine today, but she won't eat any cookies. They are good too. I give up trying to make her special treats. She never eats them. She loves oatmeal too.

It was actually 87 today. It is nice. We really haven't had much rain on a daily basis. We get the Biblical storms that dump a ton of rain and then nothing. It is weird. We usually get fairly frequent storms in the summer.

I ordered custom switchplates for the house. I am putting a Cinderella and Prince Charming one in our bedroom, Kaleigh gets a Disney Princess one and we are getting a Mickey and Minnnie one for the office. I can't wait. I eventually want to do the whole house. I am not bother with outlet plates.

I just posted and forgot to enter it..... :confused3

I cut the front and back lawn today as rain was predicted and it didn't happen until about 4 and then it really poured down but I love it

Tomorrow is the stamp/scrapbook expo....I won't be able to buy as much as I would have because I blew it at the store going out of business....

Have a great weekend everyone!

Computer still isn't working corrrectly. Heidi got the magnets done yesterday. Thankfully! Ted ended up laying on the floor with his fingers in the tower to keep it running. WE think we know what it is....now to convince Best Buy!

I have to run and work on the itinerary now. Hugs to all.

Thank god we got those magnets done. I could have printed off one more page but the computer acted up and froze and I did not have the patience for it to wait for me dad to hold the wire. I am done getting on that computer until it gets fixed, It took forever just to do a few more sheets of magnets.

Julie - I will have to wait to do your magnets until my mom's computer gets fixed. Her computer is the only computer that has my desktop publishing software on it that I use.

Good Morning!

Heidi & Sandy-I sure wish I had your knowledge for designing the magnets. I would LOVE to do them myself. I can just picture Ted laying on the floor with his finger holding wires in the computer. :rotfl2: Hope you get it fixed soon!

Had a pretty quiet weekend. Saturday I finished up Tiffany stuff and gave the box to Bob to mail. We went to see "Invincible" Saturday night. It was pretty good. Sunday I did even less then on Saturday. Bob and I did go for a couple of mile walk but other then that I did nothing! I am feeling pretty guilty. I am still coughing but almost over my cold. YEAH!

Barb: DOn't feel guilty for relaxing for a change!

We didn't get home until 3 AM from our friends, but we had a nice time and Kaleigh enjoys playing with their kids.

We had a pretty quiet day yesterday. I fixed the spots on the table with stain and gloss as best as I could. I still need to polish the table, but I was waiting for it to dry completely.

Kaleigh fell yesterday and has a cut on her eyelid. It is turning purple. Poor kid. It is still swollen too.

We went to the library this morning. Supposed to be gloomy and rainy again today.

I guess we are done with the 80's. Nothing in the forecast is out of the 70's.

We are going to the last fair on Thursday.

Sandy: I hope they finally get your computer fixed.

Julie: Thanks for the tip. Jerry got those days before the cruise a little cheaper for the rental car.

It's me. Nothing new. I hate this computer. I typed up my table service ressies and WDW hours and it locked up.

Barb, it was quite comical about Ted holding the wires. Good thing he was in a good mood.

Denine, we are having a rainy last few days so I understand what you are going through. At least we have sun for part of the day.

I heard our rainy days are over.....and it is in the 50's at night now. Wouldn't you know the year we get air conditioning we didn't have those really hot nights where you can't sleep....

I worked in the yard today and transplanted some hosta's and planted some mums. I moved a bird bath and stepping stones and weeded. I was as tired as if I worked all day.....but am getting to feeling a little better every day. I am not coughing much anymore....I guess my $80 bottle of cough syrup worked.

only 3 more days of August left....then to me it is fall. Time to get my fall Dickens maple syrup set out. It is cute...trees, pumpkins, pumpkin wagon, road side stand ,maple syrup kettle and people making the syrup..just not sure where I am going to put it now I have redecorated .

Sandy, I can understand your feelings about a slow computer. It about drives me crazy if mine doesn't jump right to where I want it too. Barb is right about her dad being good with computers....anything happens I just yell Dick...help and he fixes it right away.

It is only 9:45 but I am off to bed....good night
