OMG! Susan posted! You better not run away again!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I was busy.

Kaleigh spilled blue yogurt smoothy on the office carpet and as I was trying to clean it up, someone was knocking at my door. It turned out to be a college girl selling educational books. So, I invited her in and we looked at the books. I ordered from this company about 3 years ago from another college girl. So, I ordered a set of 14 books for Kaleigh. They are really cute. Each book is a different subject and has all kinds of neat facts about stuff. So, when they ask "why?", I can look it up in a book. They have some other nice ones too, but I can't get everything. When you homeschool, you can't have too many reference books! After she left, I did work on cleaning up the spill and by the end of the day, I got all the blue out of my carpet.

It is too cool around here for us, only in the low to mid-seventies. I want at least 80!

We did get the lawn mowed yesterday. It looks much better. It grew so much from all the rain, but was tooo wet to cut.

The teachers manual came with a page of stuff to start collecting. So, now I am rinsing out milk cartons and everything else to save for future projects. I will also be saving toilet paper tubes and just about everything else on the long list. I started a big box in the basement.

Do we go to the Pirate movie on Friday or the free Orchestra concert downtown with fireworks? We went once for the concert. It was really neat, but we usually have to get up too early the next morning, so we haven't gone in a long time. But, this time they put it on Friday so no one has to get up early. The question on both counts is how cranky will Kaleigh be?

Barb: You are funny! Baked beans is always a good BBQ side, or cole slaw.

I work tomorrow.

Next week, Jerry is back to long hours until the middle of August. None of us are looking forward to it.

Denine, it looks like you are gearing up to be the teacher. I bet you find lots of fun projects!

My Mom suggested baked beans too. Baked beans just does not seem "Piratey" to me. I want something Caribbeany, Piratey, Treasurey....

YEah Susan posted!!! I hope she posts again soon!!! We missed you!

Barb, how's about "golden potato salad". You could serve it in a treasure chest. I'm sure party supply stores would have something like the chest since pirates are BIG right now. You could make baked beans and just call it Captain Jacks Rubies or Dablumes. You could make Buried Treasure Desert. You make it with Jello chocolate pudding and crumbled oreo cookies (the real name for it is like dirt and worms) but instead of the gummy worms, put the gold folded chocolate pieces in it so when they "dig in" they all get treasure. Just a few off the top of my head ideas.

Well, my mom's surgery went very well yesterday. She went in at 1:30pm and was finally in her room by 5:35pm. She was in pain, but nothing like she was in before the surgery. She will be so glad with this hip being done too.

I will find out what time Makenzie's surgery will be monday tomorrow. The doctor told me that it will probably be in the morning, I just hope that it's not too early.

Jeanne, I thought about you this past week. When I heard about the casinos closed in NJ, I said I hope this doesn't mess up her weekend she was looking forward to! I'm glad that they will re-open within 24 hrs. Have a super time!

Sandy, glad to hear that you got to spend sooooo much time with the grandbabies! I know you didn't spoil them at all. LOL

Denine, did you guys pay off your cruise yet? 90days is just around the corner.

Well, gotta go. I'll be back!

I know I won't be able to post everyday but I will try to stay in touch. Glad you all welcomed me back "home"!

I haven't had a chance to go back and read everything so if anyone wants to send me a synopsis of what I have missed, I would love it!

Here's a few of the things we have been dealing with:
1 - my Dad had another stent put in and then in April had to have 5 bypasses (replacing 3 previous ones and adding 2)
2 - Turner had a broken wrist - again!
3 - I had bronchitis 3 times since Christmas, Pneumonia once and dislocated my shoulder in April (still doing physical therapy for that!)
4 - Paul has been traveling with work far more than past years
5 - Surviving Turner's first girlfriend and having his heart broken right after Christmas and now being supportive of the new girlfriend
6 - Paul's sister moving in with us for a while from Atlanta. She's looking for a job after being laid off.
7 - Lot's of late nights with work. (I got so behind from being out for #1, #2, #3 and ongoing physical therapy!)

That's the big stuff!!

I do miss you all!!

We are going to Myrtle Beach next week. If I have internet access I will be trying to catch up on the back posts and posting. If not, I'll have to catch up again after the 15th.

I have work to do that I brought home this evening so I must go now.

Love you guys!
Later!

Julie: Glad to hear your mom's surgery went well. Let us know when Makenzie's surgery is.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Radisson near the port?

Going to pay off the cruise next week.

Susan: Wow! You have had a lot of things going on in your life. Well, try to calm everything down so you can post more. Enjoy your trip to Myrtle Beach.
Come join us for a reunion the first week of December 2007 in WDW!

Hello everyone!

Just taking a break from sorting wedding stuff. It was all piled in my basement and I have been totally ignoring it. I have been folding tulle, tearing bows apart, packing up keepsakes and trying to decide what to do with everything else BLAH! I don't even want to think of doing another wedding for a long long long time!

Ethan got shots today so we only watched about 10 minutes of Flintstones. Yes we are still cuddling on the couch every day and watching them. Today was one of my all time favorite episodes, the one where Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm sing. Cute!

Susan- We sure did miss you. Next time you are going through so much don't forget about your Disney family we are here to listen and support you through these trying times :grouphug:

Susan, wow, so much has happened to you and for that matter everyone else in your family. Don't "waste" your time and go back and read. :grouphug: Just jump in and join us again. Let's see:

My mom, Ted's dad, Jerry's dad and Sally's sister passed away this past year.

Barb became a grandma to Ethan. I became a grandma to twins, Tyler and Joey. All 3 are about a year old.

Bonnie doesn't post much if at all. Jeanne and Joyce still at the hospital.

Julie always having tons of stuff with the little ones. Her dad isn't doing well.

Denine and Jerry moved to a new house.

My daughters, Stacey and Heidi post here. PoohFriend posts daily and that is Heidi. Stacey is DISfan and posts when she has time.

We all would love to meet up again at WDW in Dec of 2007.

The Dudettes, Ted and Sandy, and Heidi and her boyfriend, Chris, are going on the 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Wonder. Denine and Julie are going on a double dip Castaway Cay in Oct. Barb is going to WDW for New Years Eve, right Barb? And also Hawaii some time.

What else ladies?

Julie, I love all the ideas you had for Barb. SUPER ideas!!! :thumbsup2

Denine, Ted and I stayed at the Radisson. We have absolutely NO complaints. They brag about seeing the ship in the morning but believe you me.......it is far away. Not as close as what I was thinking. We were soooo close to it in CA. We loved the pool. THe shuttle went great.

Time for Big Brother. Who all is watching it this time around?

I can't believe I had to miss Big Brother last night....was it good? Go ahead and fill me in with the details I don't mind spoilers. Anyone getting the live feed?

Susan - Wow you have been through a lot. To add on to some more what my mom said:

Barb has been very active planning weddings and graduations for her kids
Jeanne has a granddaughter on the way, due in September
Denine and Julie recently got back from a trip to WDW
I bought a townhome a little over a year ago
Julie's daughter Makenzie has to have her tonsils removed
Denine is going to be homeschooling Kaleigh

I just found out the Chris's niece has to go to Boston's Children Hospital at the end of the month (they live in FL) She is having heart problems and they have to do angioplasty and put a stent and something through her groin (okay not sure because his sister told me in medical terms!!) We were afraid that they weren't going to be able to meet us at WDW afterall, but Brittany, his niece, insists that she does not want to miss out on all the fun and hanging out with us so she promised she wouldn't go on any of the rides. Poor girl, she is only 15.

Here is a good picture of my mom, dad, Joey, and Tyler camping over Memorial weekend.

Hi Susan......glad to hear from you. Totally understand your absence with all that has happened to you. Now stay well and enjoy the summer....

We had two weddings in the family and had all our kids together which is a hard thing to do as they live in several states. My daughter was here 3 weeks and is now on vacation in China and Japan. My son was here for 3 weeks and is now home in Oregon. My other daughter is back in New Mexico and Barb is running around the Springs as usual. I am helping her with her Pirates party and a luncheon......and I guess I am suppose to be doing a class on card making for her. Who has time to get old when you have a daughter like her that keeps you involved.

My grandson is here from Austin and bless his heart, he put in a new faucet in the kitchen...the kind that is high so you can put a tall pan under it. It also has a soap dispenser which I love the idea but it isn't working and he is calling them for a replacement. He also got a replacement of my dvd which just went out. He and his family are going home tomorrow and there won't be anymore family in town until the 29th when Patti comes for a few days. We are taking another Disney scrapbook class...

We are going to the zoo today.....good scrapbook pages. It is suppose to rain again this afternoon but I am like Barb, I love the rain. It has been the nice gentle kind that you don't have hail with and my yard is loving it. I see we will have rain until next Wed and then it starts getting hot again.

Hi guys, it's me again. Heidi you beat me to it. Last night I was laying in bed and sat straight up and realized that I didn't  mention Jeanne's grandbaby on the way.

Did a little shopping today and weighed in. I was really nervous because last Thurs I was over my 5 lb limit to weight gain. I am due for 1/4 of my initial fee in 7 weeks and I can't go over a 5 lb gain. Then if I keep it off for another 26 weeks, I will qualify for another 1/4 of my fee back. Not too shabby. Anyway, I managed to lose about 3.6 pounds. Yahoo! That means money in my pocket in 7 weeks. :cool1:

Heidi, I love  that picture soooo much. What a surprise to see it here. Thanks for posting it.

Pixie dust and prayers to Brittany!!

Ohhhhhh, I was just thinking. That reward money from my weight loss could really come in handy for SPENDING money on the cruise!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce:  Yuppers, that's what I will do. BBC's here I come. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I think you guys covered just about everything. I think Susan already knew about the house though. Believe it or not, we will have lived here for 2 years come September!

Sandy: Congrats on the weight loss and money coming back. We didn't weigh ourselves this week. We pigged out on Tuesday! We have been trying to be good and do our walking though. Maybe, next week I can delete some pounds from my ticker, or at least 1!

Debating on whether to take Kaleigh to Pirates. She has her heart set on it, but it may be too scary for her. There was a picture of Davy Jones in the paper including what the man who plays him looks like in real life. I tried to explain to her that it is all pretend. She said she would hide during the scary parts. Not going to the concert tonight. There is also a baseball game and we just don't want to deal with the crowds. Are we getting old or what?

Sandy: Love the picture of you and Ted with the grandkids!

Barb: "Oh let the sunshine in..."

Heidi: Pixie dust to Chris' neice!

Work was good today except it is getting harder to get there from here. I keep running into road construction and closed roads.

May go to Amish tomorrow. We haven't been there in a while.

Good Morning!

Down in my scrapbook/craft room getting ready for our "Pirate Party" Mom and I went shopping yesterday got some more decorations and the food. pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

What a great picture Sandy! You look terrific! Congratulations again for losing and KEEPING the weight off. You are an inspiration!

Julie-Great ideas, Thanks! I love the name the dish thing!

Hi guys, just checking in and saying goodbye  all at the same time. Our computer is acting up AGAIN and we have plans to take it in today. It could be gone for 5-7 days. Yikes, what am I going to do without all of you? :confused3

Like last time I might end up with the s-l-o-w computer downstairs but I hate that old antique thing.

Barb, I can't wait to hear all about your pirate party. You are so creative.

Ohhhhhhh, I just looked out the window and saw a little tiny baby bunny. He's so cute! I looked out because a STUPID woodpecker was pecking on the house again. Good vs. bad.

Heidi went to see Pirates last night. I didn't hear how she liked it though.

Better run. Ted is here and ready to take the computer AND take me out to breakfast. Mmmmmm, breakfast burrito here I come.

Hopefully will be back on sooner than later. Bye  . Love you guys. :grouphug:

It's been a really crazy  weekend. Went to see Pirates pirate: pirate:. It really left you hanging and anxious to see the next one!!!! Can't wait to hear about Barb's Pirate pirate: Party.

I had a great time at the all class reunion in Wildwood and then headed over to The Deck to hear "Don't Call Me Francis" (Bonnie's son) play. They are so good and it was so great seeing Bonnie. I never did so much driving up and down the coast in one day. :moped: Bonnie is in really good spirits and Ryan came over to her.

Trying to catch up on laundry, shopping, etc. today.

Hope you all had a Whimsical Weekend. Toodles  JEANNE
