Julie - loved the pictures in the email!!! Those were cute, where was the big guy at?

I took tomorrow and Monday off so I do not have to work until Wednesday!!!! I can't wait for these next 5 days off!!!!

I haven't downloaded the pics yet. I am afraid that i will lose them. My computer has lost the "g" drive AGAIN!!!!

Thank goodness. I went to my email and didn't have to download them. I loved the pictures Julie BUT there was one problem.....it made me miss you guys.!!

Good Morning!!

Recouped from gradutions, weddings and tea parties and gearing up for my next run of stuff "Appreciation Luncheon" for the people that helped with the wedding and camping. I worked yesterday on getting my next year Missionette stuff ready. Lessons, craft projects, field trips etc.. Did I tell you I am going to be the "Event Cordinator" for all the Missionettes. I am pretty excited because I LOVE planning, organizing and researching events. I am trying to come up with decorations and ideas for the "Appreciation Luncheon" I want to make favors and goodie bags so guess I will be reseaching that next.

The Pirate movie out in 8 days!!! I want to have a "Pirate Party" on Saturday then everyone go to the movie. pirate:

Julie-Ugh to sitting on the plane for 2 hours! Last time we flew home from Disney we were stuck for about an hour. It was soooo boring! So glad the kids were good. What a snotty crew! I can't even believe they were like that! You should complain!

Mom-Lets can tomatoes this year for sure. We talked about it last year and never did it. Lets plan a date in the Fall and do it. Have you though anything about "Craft Day" Have you come up with any cards, tags etc... for it. I have a few people interested. We will have to start early because of being gone in Nov.

Denine- The sauce sounds yummy. Wish I knew how to do stuff like that!

Sandy-We have gotten rain everyday since last Sunday. It is SOOO nice to have some moisture and cooler temps. Wish it would stay like this.

Heidi-Wish you would call and I would meet you for breakfast, lunch whatever when you are down here. Have fun on your LONG weekendo off. I will be working working working saving my vacation time for the cruise and then Disney next Spring. I am hoping to take 2 Disney trips next year, Spring and Fall.

Julie-The pictures were soooo cute. Thank you for sending them. Your kids are sooo cute!

Barb: If you can can tomatoes, you can make this sauce. It was really easy, just took a long time.

It looked like we were gonna get a ton of rain again yesterday, but we got a little and it passed over, yippee! The only problem is it is only supposed to be 74 today.

How about August for the Italian dinner? Julie is really busy in July. :teeth:

The only problem with going to work tomorrow is Jerry has to leave when I get home. He has a test tomorrow for his class. If he passes, he gets his certification. Then he has a week "off" and starts back up until sometime in August. He has been doing his regular owrk for about 4 hours beofre he starts class, then he gets aout of class around 4:45. He figures he will put in 60 hours this week. YUCK! We are both mentally tired. I am getting too much Kaleigh time and she is not even being bad. I just need a break.

I have been working on a pre-school workbook with Kaleigh. She loves the numbers but avoids anything to do with letters. But, she complains that she can't read. Go figure! She has been trying to write some of her letters with Jerry and she is doing a good job with those. You can tell what letters they are.

Barb: If you were a homeschooler, you would do great with unit studies. Lots of prep and planning.

I am trying to wake up enough to do my treadmill. I am even drinking caffeine.

Heidi: Enjoy your long weekend!

We want to go see Pirates too. pirate: A pirate party sounds like fun. Arrrgh!

Denine, are you sure you want to homeschool???? I say that because you were saying in your post that you are getting "too much Kaleigh time and she isn't even being bad"? You might really need to think it out.

Barb, I think you are PERFECT for event coordinator. PERFECT!!!

Hi guys! Trying to get up some energy to do some outside work BEFORE we get more rain.

Heidi, I will get a picture sent out of the Big Guy. He was tooo busy running around and jumping on the pictures in the imagination place to take a picture with everyone. But I will send one out.

Oh, I have to tell you abou the Big Guy on vacation. He was a "ladies man". We went and ate at Cinderella's royal table and Princess Aurora came by. She bent down and gave him a kiss on his head and the look on his face was "Oh yeah"! And she left lip marks on him and he was so proud of them. From then on we called her his girlfriend. Another time we were at Blizzard Beach in the wave pool. He was swimming around and a bunch of young teen girls came walking by in bikini's and he just stood there watching them knodding his head and then out of the blue he says " COME TO PAPA!" I never laughed so hard in my life! We were trying to figure out where he would have heard that saying and we were back in the room later that day or the next and Lilo and Stitch cartoon was on and we heard Stitch say it so we figured that is where he got it from. He is definitely his father's son! LOL!

Barb, do you ever slow down? LOL! You are like the energizer bunny, you keep going and going......

Well, Makenzie has a birthday party to go this afternoon and then we have a quiet weekend. The 4th we are going to see if we can take my dad over to my brother's for a cookout, just to get him out of the nursing/rehab home for awhile. The staff said we could if he was up to it. THEN, the Big Guy starts Safety Town the next day and my mom gets her other hip replaced. So I will be at the hospital since I'm the only one in the family who can be there. My dad can't, and my brother will be in Dallas with his work. We will have AnnaMarie that day until the evening when I take her back, so that will be some great help. THen the following Monday, Makenzie gets her tonsils out. Now that is the day both Garry and I aren't looking forward too. She is out drama queen!

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!

For all of you who are going to be gone the rest of the weekend, Have a Great Fourth of July!!

Be Safe!

Julie, loved your post about the Big Guy. He always comes up with something or does something. He definitely is his fathers child!! lol

Worked 7P-7A and TRIED to sleep when I got home but it was just one thing after another. I probably got a good hour :hourglass sleep and I am going out with my girlfriends tonight. I will be really pleasant! :rotfl2: Invited Bonnie again but sounds like she isn't going (I'm starting to get a complex).

JULIE: Loved the pictures. The girls princess: princess: princess: are getting so big. I also loved the Big Guy story. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree :lmao:

BARB & DENINE: How do you two do it all? I get tired just reading your postings!

Lots of flooding in our area but we are all high and dry. Hope you all have a Twinkling Thursday. Toodles  JEANNE

The sun :sunny: is out. Woo-Woo

SANDY: Bye-bye  Have a great weekend. Hope you have a beautiful weekend weatherwise :sunny: too!

I guess everyone will be going or doing something this weekend and the Fourth of July but poor me :confused3 I have to work this weekend and Fourth of July. I am going down the shore next Saturday for an "All-School Reunion" at an Irish Pub (what else since we were called the fighting Irish) in Wildwood, N.J. (which is a shore resort). Getting together with two OLD high school girlfriends. One of which lives down the shore and the other is the one who used to live with me.

I had a really good time last night too! It wasn't as crowded as last week so you could dance :dance3:

Washing clothes right now but the dogs have no food so I guess I will have to go shopping :moped: . It could be a Super Walmart shopping day - ONE STOP SHOPPING!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend and a Fantastic Fourth of July :thumbsup2 Toodles  JEANNE

Good Morning!

Off of work today just came down to my basement to check some accounts. Spent the morning watching Scrapbook shows. I love them! From there moved on to Rebecca's gardening. Sure do love TIVO fast forward right through the commercials! :happytv: I have some cleaning to do then I think I will do fun stuff.

Sandy-Have fun this weekend!

Jeanne-Dancing eh? Sounds fun!! :dance3: You are always invited to my house to spend the 4th! I am just a drive away!

Hope eveyone has a wonderful day!!

Sandy: Enjoy your long weekend! I will be fine with Kaleigh, it is just with Jerry putting in so many hours this week and Kaleigh misses him so much. She creid her heart out when he left this morning and then later said her heart was broken because she missed daddy. Luckily, he has taken his test and just now pulled in the driveway; just in time for Kaleigh's nap. Also, remember, I am still keeping my job, so I have some time to get away.

Julie: I was hoping you would post the "come to Papa" story. I just busted out laughing when you told it to me.

Jeanne: I am working the 4th too, but only in the morning. Hope your days are easy ones.

We have no plans for this weekend, but we are going to cook out on the 4th.

I guess I am the only one with no life this weekend.

I guess that isn't entirely true, we are going over to friends tonight to play cards and won't be home until our usual 3 AM.

I did get to rest today and that was nice.

Kaleigh fell and split her bottom lip. She is better. I gave her a popsicle.

Supposed to storm later so we have to close up before we leave. Hate to do that since there is such a nice breeze.

Jerry did make us a margarita when Kaleigh went down for her nap.

It seems I was going to post something, but I don't remember what. I guess I will remember if it is important.

I know, it is about this neighbor kid. He is 5 years old, don't know when he will be six, but he has already done kindergarten. Anyway, he is always going door to door looking for someine to play with. He is over here often asking if Kaleigh or (your kid) can come out to play. If not, when? He was playing today after asking Jerry, who was outside, "where is your kid?". So, he let them play. He tried to mooch a slim fast drink. They are in the garage for when Jerry needs to put some in the fridge. Jerry told them they were warm and would taste yucky. Alex said he didn't have breakfast. Later, I gave Kaleigh a smoothy for lunch and he said he didn't have any lunch. I told him he had better go home and get some, it was 1 PM. The thing is, we don't like this kid. He has an attitude. Why would a 5yo boy want to play with a 3yo girl? We are trying to come up with ways to manage him when he is here. He did talk about how his dad put new tires and other stuff on his bike. But, where are the parents and why do they let their 5yo child ride his bike all over the place and not know where he is? Am I being overprotective? I can't see letting Kaleigh do that in this day and age. No one else around here does that either. Any ideas?

Hey Denine! You know with your neighbor kid problem, I would just kindly say that you and Kaleigh's dad had a talk and think it is better for him to play with children his own age. Tell him that since is is such a "big boy" and Kaleigh is stll just a little girl, you don't think it is a good idea for them to play together. There are other children in your neighborhood that he should play with. It is one thing if you know his parents, but it is obvious that you don't . Like you said, they just let him roam the neighborhood. If all else fails, I'd speak to his parents and tell then that you and Jerry don't think it's a good idea for him to be wandering the neighborhood looking for younger children to play with. You can never be over protective! I know you don't want to hurt anyones feelings BUT you need to watch out for YOUR child's best interests!

There is one girl that has asked several times for Makenzie to come over and play, but I really don't care for the parents ( there a few sandwiches short of a picnic) so I won't let her go. I know they play at school and that is fine, but I don't feel comfortable for Makenzie to go over to the little girls house. Now, the little girl can come over here, but she really never wants to. But being a parent you need to put your child's best interests at hand. You might not make a friend, but in your heart you KNOW it is for the best. Just my two cents for whatever it's worth.

Well, did some yard work today, before the rains come AGAIN!!!! It is suppose to start tonight and go through Tues. morning. We are suppose to go over to my brothers on the 4th for dinner/picnic around 3-ish pm. We are going to get my dad from the nursing home/rehab home around then so he can get out and enjoy the holiday and hopefully that will get him motivated.

I'll be back later this weekend!

I'm here too Denine. Getting ready to go see "The Devil wears Prada" We went to see "Superman" last night. It was pretty good. I was surprised.

Have fun playing cards tonight. Off to dinner and a movie

Denine and Julie....you might be interested in the site Familywatchdog.us I heard about it on Oprah and decided to have a look not really thinking I would find much. Much to my surprise there were over 500 registered sex offenders in my part of town.....they give the names, address and records. I would have thought 50 would be a lot but over 500 and that is just my zip code I think as far as I could make out. Kind of scary!!!

There are several schools around here.

Hi Sally! Garry has told me about that same web site. There are only a handful around our area (thank goodness!!), BUT THAT IS the ones who HAVE registered!

Hi Barb!!!! :teeth:

Julie, thanks for the input. As long as I can keep an eye on them, I will let them play as long as I don't see of hear anything I don't like. If I do, he is either disciplined or outta here.

Thanks for the website Sally. I have seen either that one or another one. We don't have many around us.

Julie: I hope your dad enjoys getting out and that we don't get much rain. We are having Jerry's mom over about the same time for a cookout. If it is decent, we will eat out, if not, inside it is.

I am hoping Kaleigh wakes up and we can go for a walk before it rains again. We didn't get any last night here, but we did at our friends house in Wadsworth. We got home a little before 3:30 AM. Of course, Kaleigh went to bed around 9 PM, so she was ready to go this morning.

Jerry is working from home tomorrow and I work Tuesday morning.

If I am not back on, enjoy your 4th everyone!

Oh, Julie, I just saved the websight where you got your new ticker just before I came to this thread. You beat me to it!
