Those that don't like dreary days.....don't read

It is one of those days...but...a good day to light the fireplace, cover up with a blanket, get a drink, snacks and watch football. Ok, so you don't like football then read. Remember if you have lemons, make lemonade....
:goodvibes

No, haven't heard from Miss Barb....let her get out of town and she forgets us... :confused3

Went to the plastic slide for scrapbooks class yesterday and it was so much fun...we made l5 slides and 3 shaker boxes...now I have something else to teach Patti and gang when we go down for Thanksgiving...I have 6 kits each to teach now.... :cool1:

Happy Sunday!

Our evening out was very nice last night. Kaleigh didn't even care we were leaving. When I came downstairs, she said "mommy, you look beautiful." That is her daddy's influence. We got to the restaurant early, but couldn't manage to get a table next to a fireplace, they have 6. We should have called in adavance for that request. We had a bottle of wine and shared an appetizer. Our entrees were delicious and so was dessert. After dinner, we thought about seeing a movie, but nothing appealed to us. So, we went to Crocker Park. It is a newer upscale shopping area. We hadn't been there before. Nice, to visit, but I can't afford to shop there! WWe came home and watched the rest of game 1 of the World Series. Kaleigh had fun and so did we.

Today, we got Boo'd. They rang the doorbell and left. Jerry found a plastic pumpkin filled with assorted Halloween goodies. Very cute idea. Now, we have 48 hours to do the same to 2 more houses. There were 2 hotpads and 2 fingertip towels, some candy, a plush fish and a pumpkin headband for Kaleigh.

We put up the cabinet in the powder room, pretty and functional. Now, the toilet paper and pull-ups are in there instead of on the floor. ALso hung up the 2 paintings we bought at the starving artist sale.

Jerry finally got over his migraine yesterday, but it took 3 imitrex and some ibuprofen and a lot of sitting or lying down with a cold cloth on his head. I hate those migraines!

Sally: I love a fireplace, but we are kicking ourselves for not getting a woodburning fireplace. Ours is gas, which as everyone knows, is very expensive right now. Hate football though.

Sandy: I keep forgetting to ask how your frame job of the lithograph came out. Sounds like you have had a busy weekend.

Tomorrow is Monday and, if anyone cares, United Nations Day. At least that is what my calendar says. Have no idea what it is.

Oh ya, United Nations Day....(don't know what that is) and I don't even get a day off for it!!!

Denine - Glad Jerry's migraine got better, those are so unbelievably miserable. I couldn't even imagine have a migraine and a child...I can hardly function by myself in a dark quiet room. Atleast he made it to dinner and shopping. Sounded like a fun night.

Sally - I like the dreary days once in a while, it's nice and it makes me sit at home (which I didn't do at all this weekend!!) I thought yesterday was going to be a dreary day but it turned out to be sunny and blues skies.

Julie, Julie, Julie....where are you? and where is Susan, Patti, Bonnie, Jeanne? I know Barb is on vacation!!!!

I guess it is just you and me Heidi.

Another cold, rainy day. I am freezing. I just ate a small, but hot lunch. I plan on making some tea.

Hope FLA hasn't been hit too badly by WIlma. It doesn't look good for Cozumel.

Don't really know anything else.

Denine - I guess it is just the 2 of us. How cold is it out there? We are hitting in the mid 60's today and hoepfully the rest of the week.

Don't forget to change your clocks this Sunday!!!! I love getting an extra hour of sleep in!!!!!

I'm here.....just got home from going to Curves and Walmart. It is now lunch time. I had good intentions of cleaning the fridge and kitchen this morning but it just flew by. It is so beautiful out and really warm....66 with the sun shinning.

Time for Dick to get home from work so will talk to you later...

Been working on cleaning out my Mom's house (she has been in it for 28 years!) & as soon as I'm done with her house I am starting on mine! Why do we save what we save? Starting with my basement & working my way up! Settlement is Friday but still loss ends have to be cleared up. I will be REALLY happy  when settlement is over.

DENINE & JERRY: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY  . I loved the Kaleigh story. She REALLY is a Disney girl :earsgirl:

I wish I could go in April 2007 with Faith but I don't think I want to do the Western again unless the itinery changes.

Miss you all but have been very busy. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Hey, I am here today, too.

Sally, I wish we could just sit by a fireplace and watch it. Sip a drink, have some popcorn and just rest. Not in our cards for a few more months. Good grief.....you haven't heard from Barb? What does she think? That she is on vacation or something? :rotfl2: Lucky girl!

Jeanne, Ted and I keep saying when things slow down that we are going to clean from top to bottom too. I have to quit saving for "just in case". It is a real eye opener when you have to clean out an elderly persons house that is for sure. We would love to go with Faith, too, but the Western just doesn't do anything for us plus we just won't have the funds.

Denine, I have never heard about being "Booed". That is the coolest idea. Heidi, you should start that in the office.

Sandy that is what I have been doing for the last couple months....cleaning out as much stuff as possible because I know what Patti and Ken went through with his mom's house. Only one problem....I am getting rid of the old stuff but for some reason new stuff keeps coming in the house.... :confused3

I did put on the fireplace yesterday and watched the Bronco game until the last part...then they started playing bad so and I knew they were going to lose so I went down to my scrapbook room and worked on an album....

I went to Walmart today and got my two cd's and put them in to be developed. THe cd's were $5.64 all together. The prints are going to cost me $7.60 for each cd.

Sally, you have Ted and I so excited. We can't wait to get going on the slides. It would be so cool if we could get it done by Christmas and hand them out to the family! Look out Walmart!

Some of those slides are soooooo cute (mostly the ones of me!!!)

Guess what? It is cold and rainy...again. I think it is 46 outside. We are getting the outer fringes of the Noreaster that the northeast is getting.

I am so cold, my nose keeps running. At least I am drinking my hot tea. Making hot soup for dinner tonight.

Went to Kohl's last night. I got an 8-picture frame for my Curacao photos, but them realized the frame won't work because all of my pictures are horizontal, but not all the photo slots are. I should have checked. Bought some new kitchen towels. Most of the one's I have are from when we 1st got married. They were like 55% off. Bought another frame for Kaleigh's 3 year picture and some Tinkerbell undies for when she goes potty.

Sandy: I had never heard og being "boo'd" either.

I guess I am lucky and have a practical mom. She cleaned out all the stuff years ago. Jerry's parent's on the other hand... My parents have also pre-paid for their funerals and purchased cemetery plots.
Told you they were practical. Jerry's parents on the other hand...

Doesn't look good for a winter vacation for us. I was hoping we could add on to May if we didn't go, but that doesn't look good either. No-one to cut the grass.

Anyone have any good New Year's Eve crockpot dinner recipes? Need to plan ahead, you know.

Sally: I would like to start Curves after the first of the year. DOn't know if it will be in the budget though.

Jeanne: Glad you posted and thanks for the anniversary wishes.

Sandy: I was just reading the CB and found a whole thread on being "boo'd". It is a really cute idea.

I was boo'd at work for my first Halloween here, it was a lot of fun. Maybe I will remember to start that next year at work and at home, such a cute idea!!!

Denine - I wonder if you got the same picture frame as I did. The one I bought was black.

Can I impose on someone living in a different state than CO? My friend sends me anonymous humorous birthday cards and gets other people to send them from different states so I won't figure out who does it. Well, I know exactly who it is and now it is HIS turn. His birthday is Nov 11th and I would like to send him a card from the birthday fairy. Anybody willing to let me send them the card and have you sign it "birthday fairy" or whatever, address it and send it for me? Of course I will have it stamped. Thanks!

Heidi: Yes, the frame I got was black.

Sandy: Just send me the card. I will be the birthday fairy.

Started a thread on the CB about migraines. Interesting info. You might want to check it out Heidi and Julie.

Still raining.
I wrapped up in a blanket here at the computer.

I lurked on your migraine thread earlier, it was very interesting!!! Thanks for starting the thread.

Thanks Denine. I will send you a card to forward on. No need to put a return address remember. Rain, rain, go away......

Our weather is very nice and will be for the week. I bet your weather will improve soon. Heard over the weekend we will make a turn for the worst again. Don't know too much about it. Forgot to tell you, Denine, that my litho turned out GREAT!!! Well worth the money. I got a compliment for a friend who is NOT a Disney fanatic. I thought that was the ultimate test.

Sandy: Just remind me when I get the card. Glad your litho turned out great!

Guess what? It is still raining and there is a chance of rain everyday for the next several days. I am going to start quacking like Bonnie or maybe qvacking like Hagar the Horrible's duck.

I think I am going to order the herbals for Jerry's migraines. They sound promising and they could help.

Gotta go give someone a bath and we are letting her stay up until 8:30 for Charlie Brown.
