:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Here's one just for you and Jeanne. :umbrella:

Jeanne, oh my, do I ever understand about what is in your mom's attic. We are STILL cleaning out Ted's dad's house. I swear he was a pack rat. Doesn't help that it is a huge house or that it is in the mtns where he has a couple of sheds. A yard built just for firewood. A HUGE two car garage with nooks and crannys and a basement, too. He was always bad but when my MIL passed away he got worse. She somewhat could control him. He has a shed packed full of glass bottles that he was saving to recycle. He kept newspapers and magazines to recycle. I mean it is crazy.

Barb, nice purple name and matching Mickey head. At least you can do it yourself! Nope, not me!

Missing Julie again. :grouphug:

WOW! Sandy, you do have your hands full with that house. I thought Jerry's parents was bad!

Nice day today. Goofy morning at work, but not bad.

Was feeling better, but headache is coming back.

Grass needs to be cut, but everything has been so wet that it keeps growing, but we can't get out to cut it.

Barb: You are so creative, just like your mom! Love the new Mickey!

Julie: DId you get your new dryer yet?

Tomorrow is the community party and Sweetest Day. We bought a bottle of sparkling zinfandel to have after Kaleigh goes to bed, but that is the extent of it.

ANother yard getting landscaping today. Unfortunately, it is not our next door neighbors. They do not even have a paved driveway yet! I don't know why. They are t he only one's on the street with no driveway. The weeds in their yard are waist high. They have no curtains on their windows. It seems like we are living next to a vacant house. These are the same people whose house was finished at the end of last year, but didn't move in until May. They are nice enough, but a bit odd. I keep telling JErry to complain to the HOA, but he hasn't had time to call. The rules are to have landscaping in within 3 months of moving in. The majority of people comply. Of course, there are exceptions because of weather. But they don't even have a driveway!

Denine, I don't get it. Why don't the neighbors have a driveway? Doesn't that come with the house? We take very good care of our lawn. In fact it is the greenest and thickest around and we get tons of comments. I HATE it when the neighbors weeds come in our yard. We are now having to figure out how to get rid of some strange grass that has blown in from the neighbors across from us. The only way is probably to resod.

Raining again!!!!!

What a day at work! 3 Case managers were fired! 2 of them were very good but they broke the policy regarding email...found out when the first was let go and the IS people looked at her email. Talk about a morgue!!! And we have a hiring freeze on in our department. Do they get rid of psycho nurse??? NO! Just my luck! On a good note...my nurses all chipped in and got me a necklace from Talbot's that I had admired...thanks to Eunice who was with me at the time, and a $25 gift card to Starbucks! All for Bosses Day that is on Sunday. Even Psycho nurse chipped in!

Jeanne If you need help with the house I am available on weekends...I will be happy to help.

Sandy-if Ted needs help with the house I will help! LOL!

I was very bad today!!! Bought a new winter Coach handbag. Soooo bad but sooo beautiful!

Well...the webs are coming back out....quack quack quack

Sandy: yes, the driveways do come with the house, but they didn't like how they were going to do it. I don't know what, if anything, has been resolved. But, I am sick of looking at it.

Bonnie: What a nice gift from your underlings. I think they should have bought you a boat though!

Jerry is out cutting the grass. It is finally dry enough. He was going to change the brakes on my car, but then discovered it is the back brakes that need to be changed and he doesn't have those.

The party starts in a little while. We are going out to dinner later for Sweetest Day.

I finally recieved the bulbs I ordered, so we will probably plant those tomorrow along with other outside work.

I still need to hang my paintings in the bathroom and put up a cabinet in the powder room, so I can hide the toilet paper and pull-ups.

There is always so much to do around here.

Poor Bonnie, more quack, quack!!! Nice gifts from the employees AND from you to you! Glad you are rewarding yourself. Do that every so often for pounds lost. It is a great incentive. By the way, I take hand me downs. lol

Denine, you are always busy with things around the house. BUT, they are fun things. Have fun tonight.

Nothing fun here. Just got back from cover the evaporative cooler at our friends house and also visiting her. We left at 9:00am and just got back at 2:30pm. Ted wanted to finish the trailer. Not sure if we have enough daylight left to do it. Of course, we had two meals out so far. Planning on eating "good" tonight, corn pone pie for Ted and tilapia and broccoli for me.

I just downloaded 3 new ringtones for my cell. Yo, ho, yo ho, zip a dee dah, and one other I can't remember. I currently am using Fantasmic. Happy tunes! Wish you could get your house phone to have personalized rings.

Have a great weekend.

SUN!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

2 days in a row we have sun!!! No water!

Wieghed in yesterday.... .4# gained. Not bad considering...I expected after last weeks 2nd big loss to have some gain so I am glad it was a tiny one. I said to the lady "I'll bet I'm the only one to be happy with a gain" That is just how my weight loss goes. small loss, small loss, big loss, gain. That is my typical loss.

What is an evaporative cooler?

Laying low the last 2 days. laundry etc. Finish putting the summer clothes away and digging out the rest of the winter. My hope is that next summer the clothes will all be too big!

I just have to say, I love my new WaWa!!! For those of you who don't know what it is, it is sort of like 7-11 but not independently owned. The new one is huge and has a gas station. The highlight of my day is to look to see how far the gas price has dropped each day. They are having a price war with the little station less than a block away...you know the type...they name it something like Amerigas or USA gas but it is really owned by a middle-easterner. They think they can fool us. Sorry. I will go for corporate America first.

Oh Bonnie, how I agree with the whole Amerigas or USA gas thing. An evaporative cooler is also known as a swamp cooler. It cools the house by water. It is cheaper to run than air conditioning. You probably don't even have them there because of the high humidity. It wouldn't work. You lose weight exactly how I do. If I drop a lot then the following time I can pretty much expect to gain a little or stay the same. Glad to hear you have sun. I was afraid that you were talking like a duck you might start walking like one too. Almost time for Armadillos. Mmmmmm, I can't wait.

Really glad to see the sun :sunny: this weekend!

BONNIE: Happy Boss' Day!!!! :cake: I am dying to know what e-mails they were sending! Thank you for offering your help. We have two weeks to clean out this house since the first people that saw it bought it for more than the asking price. Settlement is October 28th. The boys have been doing all the work but this week I will have to start cleaning out the attic, drawers, cabinets, etc. My cousin leaves for N.C. (her home) on Tuesday. I will really miss her.

SANDY: I can not even imagine what cleaning out a house the size of your father-in law's must be like. My mother has a small 3 bedroom row home with an attic (no basement).

Hope you all have a great week. I am back to work tomorrow (as if I don't work all weekend at home). Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Glad to see that all you from New Jersey has not drowned yet!!!!

Barb - yes the girls and I get along very well. In fact they already have Chris and I married off and tell everyone I will be their step mom. Chris and I also get along with Chris's ex-wife and her husband. Glad you got your signature!!!!

This week is very busy for me, all filled with conferences and training. Today I am observing the supervisor training on our automated hiring system in our conference room, tomorrow and wednesday I will be at the Sheraton Hotel in a training and then Thursday and Friday I will be in a conference here at the building.

Off to go to training!!! Hope to talk to you guys at lunch :)

Good Morning!!

Sunny and warm here today. Bob and I head out to New Hampshire this week. I have to get 7 more center pieces done by Wednesday. Should be a interesting week!

Bonnie-What kind of email rules were violated? I use email all the time and now you have me concerned?

Barb, New Hampshire? How cool is that??

Bonnie, you have me curious with the emails too. So how is the gas today at WaWa? :rotfl:

Jeanne, sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Things will probably improve once you are completely out of the house. Sounds like the boys are very helpful! Sorry to hear your cousin is going back. I bet the two of you got really close during this time. WOW, more money than asking price. That is great!

Heidi, i didn't realize that you had so much going on this week.

I have so much to do today and decided just to take off a couple of hours and be with Stacey and babies. I have the oven self cleaning so I have to do the racks, laundry, some shopping, style my hair, do returns, mail bills. When I went to put in my first load of laundry, I found a load already washed that I forgot to dry. I am thinking I washed them on Thurs or Friday. Way to go Sandy! :rolleyes1

Just a quick note for Bonnie. I just bought one powerball ticket. I am your competition but I will take everyone on a cruise as well.

Jeanne: Welcome to the northeast. The home sells fast and for more than the asking price. Sure not that way around here. At least it keeps the houses more affordable. Maybe you will find a treasure in the attic!

Bonnie: Glad to hear you are drying out. Have fun at the WaWa!

Sandy: forgotten laundry, been there, done that!

Heidi: Hope you don't get any migraines from all those meetings. That always seems to happen to Jerry.

Barb: New Hampshire?

The community party was fun. It was put on by the builder as a thank you to the home buyers. They had a bounce house for the kids a drawing, balloon figures and temporary tattooes. They had snacks and drinks and a wagon ride (it can't be called a hay ride) and a free pumpkin for all. Then we went to the Macaroni Grill for dinner. It was good. We each have a meal for another day.

Sunday was cold and windy, but I had to get the bulbs planted and rocks distibuted around my shade garden. I am always in search of bigger rocks and found a good source. The smaller rocks went to start a border around the shrubs we just planted. Then we went to the outlet stores and I bought Kaleigh 2 pairs of Carter jammies for $10 for next year. Bought some other stuff at other stores that had great prices. Bought 2 offset martini glasses like they have at Sessions, so we can pretend we are on the cruise with our berrytini's. We bought them at the Pfaltzgraf store for $2.50 apiece.

Today I went to work. It was a good day. Sadly, one of my new residents will probably not be there come Friday. She hasn't even been with us a week and went on hospice after a rapid decline 2 days after she arrived. Very nice family. She is end-stage Alzheimer's. We went to Amherst to the Giant Eagle GetGo and saved $1.50 a gallon for gas. Love that grocery store perk! Then we stopped at an orchard and bought some apples and apple cider. Not too impressed with the quality of the merchandise. DOn't think we will go to that one again.

I was going to give blood this evening, but I am still fighting the scratchy throat and headache.

I am trying to trade a set of the Panama Canal pins, but I have only received one offer and I am not too impressed. There are the 8 pins and she offered me 4. Yes, they are limited edition, but nothing terribly special. I am hoping for more offers. I know Julie offered to buy the set if I couldn't trade them, but I bought them to trade. We will see.

Going to watch baseball tonight and drink some hot tea.

WaWa gas down again today to 2.26/gal! And I topped off this weekend...it figures! Gotta love that WaWa...got my 24 oz hazelnut coffee on the way home. Wish I had more!

I wish I knew what the emails were also...probably a joke of some sort. It really is a shame because they lost 2 good nurses. It was determined inappropriate by a panel of HR people.

Quiet day at work today. Wednesday we take my boss out to lunch at Devon's...a swank seafood place on Rittenhouse square. It will be nice because it will be out of the office for more than an hour! I will have to pick up a little something for my boss.

Denine-your builder sounds like a terrific guy! What a nice gesture to throw the party. Sounds like fun! How's the potty training going?

Denine - the party sounded like fun!!! I wish we could get a block party started at my place, but the people there are sooooo quiet...good for me though!!!

Bonnie - I am dreaming when our gas gets down that low, currently the lowest price I have seen is $2.66. If you were like my dad he would have made a smart remark about HR to harass me!!! He has always hated HR, and then I go and work in HR!!!!

Off to my training. Atleast it is offsite, even though it is at the hotel right behind my building!!! There is supose to be over 100 people attending....fun fun fun.

Mom - Can Chris and I come over tonight? He has a paper he has to type.

Good Morning,

I took tomorrow off so I can finish the center pieces and pack. We are going to New Hampshire for Bob's parents 50th anniversary. We have not seen his parents in 8 years. Sad but when raising kids something else always came up. Hope we can get back there every year from now on. We are having a party for them and Bob's sister's and brother will be there. Bob has not been in the same place at the same time with all his family since he was living at home! I have been busy making favors, decorations and ordering stuff for the party.

Bonnie-$2.66!! Wow that is a good price. Wish it that low here. Once are flying into Boston then driving to NH. Hope the gas prices are reasonable!

Had Ethan's 5 month picture taken. They turned out so cute. Wish I knew how to post them :confused3
