Michelle....soooooo sorry to hear of you loss. Our best to you and your daughter.
a big welcome to DiMitch. The debate on 'what was the largest cooler you can take on board (or - how much alchol did you get through the x-ray scanner when boarding)' has been around for quite some time. Disney (to my knowledge) is one of the only cruise lines that lets you take 'adult beverages' on with you. on our past 3 DCL cruises...we've never had a problem taking 2-3 bottles of wine and a bottle of 'hard liquor' with mixers. Also, I don't put this in my carry on - I put bottles in a zip loc, wrap them and place them in my check in luggage. Have not had a problem. We did take a cruise on Carnival...when we were reboarding at Encinitas...all liquor purchased was taken - before you got on ship...and delivered to your stateroom the last night. I am really surprised that Disney *still* allows this - shhhh don't tell em I said so.
Paul...you kill me...i needed this laugh...just finished a double shift and needed a chuckle.
Yup...home depot has 2x3" color chips in the shape of Mickey heads - pretty cool!!! the name of the color is 'Sonic Boom'...to me...it's lime green.
Also does anyone know if soft sided coolers are allowed? I hear mixed messages about this. some say yes, cruise doc's say no. I have a disney cooler bag (soft) that almost looks like it could be a carry on, and was planning on using it as such.

I gorgot, but where do I go to get the green paint chips? Was it home depot?

I feel like I definately have to find the time now to go back and read all 84 pages to get to know everyone and their stories. Yes I will do my best to get to the meeting that one of you mentioned in the promanade lounge although I have a feeling that It was sunday I reserved the palo's brunch. Looking back at the first few posts and all you early planners....I've had this one in the works for 2 years. We booked on board in Oct 2003, which was our first ever cruise, which was also planned 2 years in advance. We discovered 3 days was just way too short. So yes I too am a planner. I had our first trip planned to the smallest detail. This trip, through one of these boards I actually found someone doing a cruise next week who lives very close to me here in Colorado. They are bringing me back all the navigators so I can PLAN PLAN PLAN!!!!
I wanted to do the afternoon one but hubby thought the waters might be calmer in the am. We're also doing the golf excursion at Mahogany run in St. Thomas. Although you may want to watch out for the balls if your golfing with me....because I stink at it! FORE!!!!
Hey these little guys are kind of fun!
We ordered those outfits from the Disney Catalog in the Spring of 2004...I'm sure there are a bunch of them out there. And my kids don't grow very fast, so we think that all those clothes still fit. So, we may wear them again!
But by all means bring yours...The more the merrier!

My Aunt is on the Mariner of the Seas on the 16th and she got hers!!

Maybe sit in the car (of course the engine and air must be running as we are already at 93 degrees) and bring along a few newspapers. We could cut holes out of the paper and peek through!! Then when he arrives, we'd ponce on him like a couple of cats!
