October 15, 2005 anyone?

I love seeing all the photos of everyone!!

I am waiting for Southwest to open up their schedule through October. If I can't get a good rate through them then I will try this new small Airport called Mid America Airport just across the river in Ill. They offer $79 one way to Orlando all the time!!!! :flower:

I am really wanting Southwest though. Last October we flew to Orlando for $49 one way!! I wish I could get that again!!!!

Drat! it looks like while it's $25 for a full size from MCO to the port, the return trip is double that.... so $80 is still better than $200

giandave: you are welcome to add your info into the database on the yahoo group...
I also am going to put up a wav file of a funny voice mail someone chain-emailed me... it's Very funny!

I am waiting for Southwest as well... cheap non-stop flights...

have a Great day!!!
Thanks,
Paul

I have added a couple of photos to Yahoo group in Wayneg folder. Pics of what I am waiting for, Fav. beach and fav. item of food.

I know someone had mentioned that they did the tuxedo thing on the last cruise??? Can you give me an idea of the cost of renting a tux for the formal nights??? That would make things easier! I would not have to buy a suit or have to worry about how to pack the dang thing. I am already going to have to pack a formal gown!!! :p

Something to consider...Thanks for any info you can give me! princess:

Michelle
Last year on out formal night I would say about 30% of men were wearing a tux. The pic in my folder on yahoo is from Formal night which is how a lot of people were dressed. Having to travel from UK with 3 weeks worth of clothes we cannot afford the space for formal wear. Cannot remember the price onboard but it was more than I was willing to pay.
I have hundreds of photos from the 2 ships maybe I will keep changing them if I remember.
Cheesecake is my favourite dessert, our server kept asking me if I wanted more but I couldn't, maybe next time I will just have a meal of cheesecake:cloud9:

Michelle -We rented a tux for my husband last October from cruiselineformal.com. It was $85 not including tax. This time around my husband is just going to wear his suit. I will admit though that we did have a really fun time dressing up & it was really nice seeing my DH in a tux. :lovestruc Last time was our first time on a cruise ever & I over packed & admittedly went a little overboard. This time I'm going to make it a lot easier on myself & simplify things a little bit. Or at least that's my plan. :teeth:

I did the tux last time in 2000... but to pay more for the tux than a rental car for 2 days?? I can't do it... :) I'll be packing the suit and saving the $$....

later all,
Paul

We rented DH's tux from Cruiseline Formalwear - they deliver to your stateroom before the ship leaves port and sometime on the last day at sea your cabin steward will pick it up.

We did the package with two shirts and some socks (which he got to keep, thank goodness. Who wants to share socks?? ) and it was about $95. He wore the tux three nights out of seven and looked fabulous - I thought it was a great price for the convenience. We'll probably do it again this year.

Just looking for some cruise feel-goodness... had to take a personal day to have dental work done. I broke a molar a few weeks ago and went in this morning for the temporary and I'll get a permanent crown in a few more weeks.

I loathe going to the dentist... and four hours later I'm sitting here drooling on my keyboard for all the wrong reasons. Oh well, it could always be worse. And at least I'll have a good set of chompers for the cruise - let me at the shrimp and the crab!!

Thanks for letting me be a big baby - hope eeryone has a good weekend!

Brenda

:sad2: :sad2: I hate going too...I swear I try and picture myself on a beach somewhere!! Thank goodness they give me nitrice???

I think I will probably try and find a black suit instead of renting him the tux. I think we may only do the formal night and then skip the semi formal.

Any body have Valentine plans?? We are going to dinner tomorrow night at Robata of Japan and then staying at the Sheraton Westport for the night..."Valentine package" Included a bottle of Missouri Wine,Chocolates and breakfast for two in the morning! DD is staying at Grandma's Sat night!! Woo Hoo! :cool1: :cool1:

Have a good one!

Happy Valentines day!

Michelle your weekend sounds lovely. I've never been to Robatas but I've heard the food is good and someone told me they cook the meal at your table for you, so you kind of have a cooking show thing happening.

If you like Italian food you should try Marcianos - that's in Westport Plaza as well - near the same area as Patricks. Marcianos makes a mean spedini with an even meaner amaretto margarhita (did I spell that right?).

My DH has to work this weekend, but next weekend we plan on celebrating Valentines by making the chocolate souffle from Palo (found the recipe on the web and have been dying to try it) and having a nice fire, some tasty champagne, and some pepper shrimp for dinner.

Did you find any good dresses for formal night? If you're comfortable buying on-line you should check out Nordstroms.com - they have some really good stuff once it gets marked down from its original ridiculous price.

Brenda,
I broke a molar a few weeks ago and went in this morning for the temporary and I'll get a permanent crown in a few more weeks.
Wow, what a coincidence. I broke a molar back before Christmas, and had the first phase of my dental work yesterday! Unfortunately, my tooth fractured vertically (all of the way to down below the gum line), and they determined the tooth couldn't be saved. So, yesterday I went to the oral surgeon to have it extracted, and an implant placed. However, after extracting it they decided that the bone beneath needed to be built up before the implant, so now I have to wait about 4 months for the implant! And then I'll have to wait several more months after that (for the implant to set) before I can have the crown put on top of that. I was hoping that the whole process would be done before the cruise, but that now looks somewhat doubtful. :sad2: Sighhhh....

But hey, I'm looking at the bright side: I've got some decent paid medication  , the weekend is here, and the cruise countdown is down to about 246 days!

I hope your novocaine soon wears off, so that the drool flood stops! Have a great weekend!

Sam,
Wow - that is pretty odd, isn't it? I lost a quarter of my tooth right to the gumline but the rest of seems to be ok - I had the same vertical break. Broke clean off one night while I was at dinner with about fourteen people from work.

I hope you start to feel better soon - I'm sure that medication will help! I didn't need anything that strong, but I've been popping advil all afternoon to take the edge off.

Maybe we should rename this cruise the Molar Express? :teeth:

Have a good weekend!

Ohhh! Sounds fun! We are going to the Melting Pot tomorrow night. It is one of my favorite restaurants! Then, on Valentine's Day, my 2.5 year old and I are going to cook Jeff dinner. I have no idea what I am going to make yet. I really need to get on the ball.

I put a couple of pictures of our last cruise with Katie (2003) and two of her now in the Yaho folder thingy. Very cool to put faces with names!

first of all.........Paul.....AWESOME!!! your yahoo groups was an outstanding idea - thank you for your hard work in putting this together. Its' great getting a glimpse of those we will soon be greeting at Port and sharing treasures onboard.

I have a question (yahoo group - newbie)....can we post word, excel and power point files on this group? We all seam soooooo jazzed about our time together in October, as well as, cronic planners. I have some cruise and
WDW info in these formats that I hope would be useful to others...guess I am hoping others are interested in sharing - can anyone offer some insight to this? Also, does anyone have any interest in supporting this? Know there is a scattering of info on the web (diz...dcltribute...passporter...barb/tony...mouseplanet...mousesavers - those of you who recognize most/all of these names...please report to the Disney addict counseling meeting) hopefully we can pass some tid bits to each other.

Finally, Happy Valentines Day to all...hope you all enjoy playing Cupid. It's wonderful just to have a holiday that allows us to openly express romance. I am planning my own little surprise...ah-ah-ah, no - hints...my DW also reads these boards. It's great to see my DD's working on little projects to surprise their Mom. They are watching Aladin and making cards...and hearts out of beads.

looking forward in greeting each of you...at port and all around the ship. Kevin

Kevin,
ok... to upload files:

on the left click on files... then click on Add file... that's where you put in the file or browse for it... a description... and so on...

as for the Molar Express ( oh man I just got it), good luck.... and hopes that there are only two of you that have molar problems... ;)

Later,
Paul
