October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

It is hard to believe that in 90 days we will be checking into the AKL villas and then the next day off to Canaveral.

I am not sure if I will stay up until 2AM to book Palo's or risk for about 4 more hours. It depends on whether I get a nap.

Have you seen the new POC costumes. I really like the Eliabeth Swann one.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors early reservation date...:o While I wait for my measley First Timer reservation date...

If we have the 2006 version of the PassPorter Disney Cruise book, do you think it would be worth purchasing the 2007 version? I know that version has the Med Cruise info (not necessary for us) but is there anything in the new book that's not covered in the old book for our cruise? Trying to figure out if we should purchase or not. Any suggestions?

It's 2:45 am here in Minnesota and I just made our Palo and excursion reservations :surfweb: Good luck to everyone out there in getting what you want pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

At 6:00 am CDT the system is still showing about half the Palo Brunches still available. A few slots are available on Day 2 and it looks like Day 6 is wide open. Day 3 is booked.

As for Palo dinner, the choices look great. Most times and dates look available.

Excursions - only looked at a few, but it looks good.

For those booking later. Remember, that they keep some slots open for booking on the ship.

So far I have gotten everything I tried for. now to get DS to decide on what excursion he wants.

I booked Palo brunch for day 2 and dinner for day 6 at 3:30 this morning. :thumbsup2

I just looked and it appears brunch is filled, but MANY dinner spots left.

Congrats to all who were able to book Palo already! We probably won't go unless DS miraculously decides he wants to learn to use the potty and becomes fully trained prior to cruise time!

Just checked status of my passport and woohoo ~ I'll be receiving it on Tuesday. One less thing to worry about.

Is anyone going to Coral World Ocean Park in St. Thomas? That sounds like a fun excursion.

Anyways, hope you all had a good weekend! Can't believe our trip is coming up in less than 3 months!:dance3:

APooh--I want to do the Coral World excursion & hopefully it's not full & I can get our reservation made once my reservation time opens up. I have to wait until July 30th :rolleyes1

How old is your little one? Will you be taking him/her? Our son is 4 and we've already made one cruise buddy. My son talks about his new buddy all the time & can't WAIT to meet him! :)

Hi Heather! I, too, have to wait until July 30th before doing anything.:rolleyes1
I forgot the link (google Coral World St. Thomas and it should pop up) but if you go on Coral World's website, there is a coupon page you can print out. It looks like it's quite a bit cheaper than DSL (although DSL includes some other stuff beside park tickets).

My son will be 3 1/2 at the time of the cruise so he would love to meet your son & his new cruise buddy:) :)

By the way, I have the 2007 Passporter that includes the Mediterranean info. If you have the 2006 book, you don't need the 2007 one. I believe the only diff is the inclusion of the Med stuff.

Thanks for the update on the PassPorter book. My hubby agrees with you...the 2006 version has everything we need to know I guess!

Hey APOOHFN...hope you are able to get ressies at Palo...it's just to fantastic of an experience to miss - IMHO. one of our DD's was 'a real challenge' with potty training...I can relate and wish you good luck. Just a suggestion - sign them up for Flounders...we needed to. Flounders has always been awesome with our kids.

Speaking of Palo (tea, brunch & dinner) ressies...I was on line at midnight and did not have problems getting what we wanted. I agree with TnRobin - believe at each date...slots are open. if not...you should be able to get what you want on board. albiet....it's sooooo much nicer to complete these on line - I much more enjoy getting aboard with an adult beverage and too many peel-n-eat shimps on my plate.....AAAAAHH!!! I CAN'T WAIT

Hi y'all,

Just got back from a Radio Disney event down the street from our house. My DD brough her Mickey and there was tons of fun to be had. Of course they made sure to have fun at the parents expense - something of a warm up I'm sure for the cruise! Oh well, I won advance tickets to Underdog! :cool1:

I think we're going to need a countdown till us landlubbers can finally register. Congrats to all the Castaway Members who have booked. We're also looking forward to the adult beverage and peel and eat shrimp after boarding!:thumbsup2

Our DS is getting excited about meeting new friends. We'll definitely need to keep up some PM's to coordinate. Looking forward to the fun!

Cheers,
Brent

P.S. CrazyZeus1 - my DS wants to tell your DS that he went to the Radio Disney event this evening and had fun.

Just a quick hit.

1) Good Morning to all.

2) I just recieved word that the promos will be starting on ABC for "FAT MARCH" so keep a keen eye out them.

DisneyFamilyTX--Reese is so excited about his cruise buddy Austin! Just yesterday, he was telling me he did NOT want to play with one of his girl playgroup friends, and the ONLY people he likes are "my cruise buddy Austin and my best friend Reed. That's all Mommy"

:) Kids are so funny....

If there's anyone else out there with munchkins in the 3-5 age range that want to set up email contact before the cruise, I would love to do that! The internet is wonderful, isn't it? Reese has been able to see pics & a video of his new cruise buddy, & we've been able to share the same with them. Sure makes having a "pen pal" take on a whole new meaning!!!

It is 87 days, 21 hours, 53 minutes and 18 seconds

can anyone tell...I need a cruise....just can't get focused today...have the Caribbean on my mind. :dance3: :tigger:

Thanks, d'Isigny! DS will be 3 1/2 by cruise time and I think he might be "too old" for Flounders?? Isn't the age cut-off 3 yrs old?

Got my passport yesterday!

Started working on my nerdy spreadsheet re: excursions, what day to have a pedicure...possibly Palo's, etc. I don't think we're going to book any excursions thru DCL.

Heather ~ I found more info re: the Coral World excursion. If you do it thru DCL, you get about 1 1/2 hrs at CW and then the rest is an island tour. The excursion doesn't include time at Coki Beach which is right next to CW. I read good things about Coki. Easy to catch a cab to & from port & CW. Glad to read Reese is very excited! Garrett (my DS) only knows we're going "on a big ship with Mickey Mouse":)

BigBen ~ Congrats on the show and keep us posted ~ will definitely check it out!:happytv: :happytv: :happytv:

APOOHFN, it would seem that we're all cut from the same cloth on this board. You're not the only nerd with a spreadsheet. My DW thinks I'm a bit extreme. However, it has become very helpful to see our whole trip, including CSR for 5 days after, all lined out in one place. I have some Navigators from a friend who took the same cruise in February so I've got some idea of the day to day. Just wished we knew more about the dining rotation.

BTW - Heather, Austin has enjoyed checking out Reese's blog page. We'll have to update more on our site for you guys.

Cheers y'all!:)
