Hi,
Just wanted to introduce my family. Then I will look back through the older posts. There will be 6 of us sailing: Laurie, DH Tim, DD's Haley and Jordan(12), and DS's Caleb and Noah. This will be our fourth DCL cruise, but our first on the Fantasy. We did Western Caribbean on the Magic several years ago, but the itinerary was a little different. We are excited that our cruise is less than 2 months away and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Not sure about the Fish Extender lists everyone is talking about, as I don't really understand what it is lol... Can anyone give me a short version explanation?

Hi everyone. I thought I should make myself known since I've been lurking for over a year on this thread alone. You can call me Jill. DH and I, now empty nesters, are doing our 2nd DCL cruise. The first was the Wonder Mexican Riviera 2/12. We booked this one on that cruise. I've been having lots of time to read almost every trip report and thread do to rotator cuff surgery 2wks ago. DH is a nervous traveller so all excursions will be Disney organized. Had to scratch the bicycle on CC, put all the snorkeling excursions and Mayan ruins are intact. Plan to do the clear bottom kayak, hoping DH can do the work. I will reiterate what others have said before. You are an awesome group'

i am a newbie to disney crusing.... on the oct 12 fantasy... there are 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 kids.... we would like to join the FE group, but can not figure out how to do that...
i have seen lists and people talking about what a fun group this is,,, but i need help badly.... i can not seem to be able to get onto any forum without having 10 messages posted, but not sure how to do that either... any help???? thanks retired13

Welcome!!!

Keep posting and you will be to 10 posts in no time at all. I am keeping track of the FE lists. Please post your room number, names and ages and gender of kids (if willing to provide that info) and you will be added. Please note that you are the first 2 rooms on list #3. I will let group #3 decide as to when it is getting closed out, and the size limit. Groups #1 and #2 voted on the FB page and it was decided that they would be capped at 15 rooms to exchange to and cut off was 9/1 or when it was filled. At this time lists #1 and #2 are full and closed.

Have you seen our FB group? We are much more active there as a lot of us find it easier to navigate.

If any of you are interested in the FE and Roaming Gnome, I have let kendzee94 know that we have newcomers and she will get with you soon on that (if not already). Also, we have a DisMeet scheduled for our boarding day. It will be at 2:30pm at the Vista Café, Deck 4 Mid-Ship. Just a gathering where we can all meet and mingle for a little while. Please let me know if you would like to join us for the meet and let me know the number of adults and children (if any). Looking forward to meeting everyone.

It would be great to get some cabins added to list 3 which is just starting. It looks like Retired 13 definitely plans to do it.

It's totally up to you what you give. Some people make gifts others buy items for their FE gifts.

Some people might give something to everyone in a cabin or give a 'cabin/family gift'.

You can just give to the kids in the group or gear something toward the adults. It really is just what you want. Last year there was a good mixture of everything.

You can walk around and hand out your fish extender gifts anytime that is convenient for you. For us we went around the first night and got them all done. We had gifts delivered throughout the week, and all times of the day.

For those interested in list #3, please tell me when you want the cut off to be! We had 9/1 the cut off for lists 1&2, but they are full. Thanks!!

For those interested in roaming gnome or FE please remember I need your room number. We also have Champagne girls (and guys willing to wear boas and tiaras) 2:45 1st sea day at Bon Voyage.

I am arranging a meet for 10 year-old boys (and their parents) on the first day since there are SIX boys in this group on this cruise (plus one 9 year-old and one 11 year-old who are more than welcome to join us). The plan is to meet outside the Oceaneer Club entrance port side hallway on deck 5.

I know DS Daniel is looking forward to meeting cruise buddies his own age.

I have been trying to squeeze it in here or there and there is a lot happening on embarkation day. A little overwhelming especially for us first time cruisers. Here is my current thinking...

We meet at 3:15 at the tail end of the DIS meet and before things shut down for the muster drill. I will change the meeting time on the Facebook page but wanted to post the information here, too.

Yep, you got it. You're only required to deliver once per cabin. I think each fish extender list is capped at 16 rooms. So you won't have more than that. No idea how many will be signing up for the third list.
