Good Monday Morning Fellow Cruisers!!
We are down to 250 days until our cruise!!! The days are moving right along and it will be here before we know it!! Now, off topic from our cruise, my DD & I have 5 days until our next trip to WDW. We are joining my DS, DIL, and their 2 children age 5 &2 for kids' first trip to WDW!! While we are very excited about our cruise, we are also excited about this upcoming trip. Looking forward to seeing the faces on the little ones when they get their first look at the "World". Have a great day everyone!

It will probably ultimately be decided when the rest of 2014 gets released...... Supposedly that will be next Monday!!! I'd love to keep them all 8) To be determined......

Oh, I thought you made up your mind since you confirmed it on the other cruise page and offered to have your husband be in charge of the FE list. Sorry, my bad

Well, DH has confirmed we are keeping these two cruises Yay!! We would like to join the FE exchange as well. This is something DD could not cruise without

Lori, if you are interested in passing the FE list compilation torch, my DH (ssanders79) has done it for all but 2 of our cruises.

What I do wish for is to have my fellow cruisers start planning things for this cruise.

I wish to do cruise t-shirts or FE gifts with a cruise logo. No one has offered one, but my ideas were shot down.

I wish to hear thoughts on what others are thinking about for excursions and if/what they have tried before.

I wish that others would join us in conversations as there seem to be less than 10 people involved.

Most of all I wish for us to have a great trip and great weather.

We will be there this sunday! Taking DS 8 and my nephew 12,crossing fingers for great sunny weather! It is so cold here

Full disclosure: we have currently have 3 cruises scheduled for October 2013. A 7-night on the Fantasy, followed by a 5-night and a 2-night on the Magic. I see nothing wrong with joining a meet thread & activities to get to know people I'm not trying to hide anything. That's not my personality. I'm as blunt as they come (in person as well). Things could go well & we could go as a family on this cruise, take DD home & then DH & I could go on the 2 following on the Magic, as there is a day in between. Things could go bad & we could have to cancel all 3. I work weekends & time off in the fall is easy peasy. Scott works from home so all he needs is the Internet periodically. There are a lot of factors. No detective work required. Full disclosure (and in fact maybe more than you bargained for). I will honestly let you know. Promise promise 8) (Although ETA, I'm not sure why it matters so much anyways....yes, Scott is organizing the FE list but other cruises that we haven't even been booked on have had him do theirs before, so I don't think that would be the issue.....IDK)

This is a super quiet thread. I totally agree. I figured that the FB page was more active (that what happened on our June cruise - once there was a FB page, the DIS thread fell silent). Now that I think about it, our Oct 2011 Western on the Magic thread was also super quiet. I think we had like 7-10 FE participants & barely any kids. It's much different on summer, break, or holiday cruises. And, it may pick up closer to sailing as well.

Cruise logo. It seems that "special" cruises with heavy traffic/bookings do those more than the run-of-the-mill cruises. Cruises like Hawaii, Panama Canal, Transatlantics, holiday cruises, etc. That may be why you aren't getting much excitement or other input/suggestions on that. If it were me, I'd pick what I wanted to do for my FE gifts & shirts & go with it, especially since you aren't getting much feedback. It may not be the "cruise" logo, but it will be what u want

Is the person that started this thread still cruising? If so, you should have then update the first post with all of the activities so far - DIS meet, spa raffle meet, FE list link, Champagne Girls, Roaming Gnome, etc. That will help newcomers see what's up and keep it all organized. In June, a very large group of DISsers booked & went on Bernard's Tour in St. Maarten together & on our cruise next month there are a bunch zip lining in San Juan together - maybe a group excursion???

Those are just my ideas!
