Hello!!!! Yes. I got my first one because of that problem, they were apparantly prone to falling off line with cable but ok with DSL. I cannot say either way due to possible legal ramifications however we have DSL and never had a problem. The woreless part died and it was about 6 or 7 years old so we replaced it with the same thing and it has been horrible since. It drops off line all the time, sometimes for hours at a time. I troubleshot everywhere I could from firewall software to the router software itself, finally gave up...it's just garbage
