We are planning on staying at POFQ, unless we happen upon a real good deal at the Poly or Grand Floridian, which isn't likely...

You never know you may find a deal on the codes and rate thread.......

Just an FYI this was posted on another thread..

HYATT AT MCO
We got it thru Hotwire for $59 + tax
with the help of betterbidding.com we knew it would be the Hyatt.

Not sure if the deal is for the dates before our cruise but worth looking into for that price and since some of you were wanting to stay there thought I would post it...........

We would love to stay here after the cruise. But I know with my luck that we would end up somewhere else LOL.
You are so lucky to have everything done already for Christmas. We are doing some shopping today and get maybe half doneLOL

I'm not sure where we'll be staying but I know it will be somewhere. I was so nervous when we cruised a few weeks ago because we flew in the same day of the cruise.

I can't pull DS another day of school, so more than likely we won't land at MCO until late on Friday, so I'm thinking we may just stay at MCO. (in a hotel of course) ;)

If you stay at MCO Hyatt they have a deal with Disney Cruise line you will tell them when you check in and they instruct you when to put your luggage out and a DCL rep. will pick it up and then you will go to like a ballroom and wait with your id, etc. and then the bus for DCL will come and get you....Easy from what I have been told.............

at the Hyatt at MCO. I had remembered that hotel mentioned in a trip report I had read last month, and was impressed with it. Then, it was mentioned here many times, so that is a where we are going to stay the night before. We will be arriving early Friday morning, if possible. It feels good to get these things taken care of early...

I can't wait to see Enchanted. But this weekend was just too... too... Anyway, hopefully we'll get to catch it this week or next weekend.

I got DD a g.c. last week, and plan on getting her more throughout the year and surprising her when we leave home. She'll be excited to have her own spending $.

Also, DD started pin trading when we went to WDW in Oct. 2006; is that done on DCL? She loves it. I even picked her up a couple of pins for trading on the ship - if there is trading.

Sandy,

Last cruise there was plenty of pin trading and they listed when and where in the navigators~~They are left on your bed every evening.. They even had specific times to go into the Atrium to get special limited DCL pins. Sometimes it was crowded but my parents got some GREAT pins....................

There is lots of pin trading on the ship. We got our DD pins off ebay before we sailed last time, so she had pins she didn't mind trading. Your DD will find some unique CastawayCay pins there. Pretty well all the cast members will have them, and there is a few scheduled trading meets.
We stayed at the Hyatt in MCO and thought it was beautiful and well worth the money. We paln to arrive first thing friday morning and then head to WDW.

That's great! DD will be so excited. What am I saying? This entire trip is so exciting!!
DD didn't seem too overly anxious to go back to WDW - I think her mind is wrapped around the cruise - but that is an idea - going for the day Fri. It will depend on what kind of flight I can get us.
Well it is a glum dreary day here today. Its been raining since the wee hours and it is on the edge of freezing. I am hoping to spend the day inside today and just relax. Have a good day everyone (and stay warm!).

My dd will be thrilled that Heather is at the Hyatt with her and Maggie, but unfortunately we don't land until 11 pm, so we probably won't see each other, unless it's at a rental car desk LOL.

Hi all, hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was very busy. I had a cake order, had to do the set up for the Breakfast with Santa Foundation Christmas party and then on Saturday, the event happened which went so well. Everything ran smoothly, all the children seemed so happy to see Santa, get a gift, and we had amazing entertainment. Belle and Cinderella were there as well. All the year long work was totally worth it. It was amazing. Then my cousin was being honoured along with other soldiers and veterens at a legion, it was beautiful and today my ds woke up vomitting so I am very tired and we are all just chilling out watching Rudolph the movie. YAWN!!! :goodvibes

I can't wait Enchanted, we saw the Bee movie for my sons Bday party, it was cute. It sounds like everyone is figuring out where they are staying before. It looks like we are going to Vero Beach, we love it there.

:grouphug: On a side note, my ds received an email from a cruisers son and he was thrilled. My dd was not so happy that she doesn't have a e-pal so I am asking if you have a dd that is interested please pm me so we can exchange emails. My dd is 6 years old, will be 7 at time of cruise. She is a girly girl who loves princesses, dancing and dress up. It will be great if our kids can get to know eachother before they meet on the cruise. As well, my ds is 9 years (10 on cruise) loves video games, lego, k'nex and bionicle building. If your ds are interested in a e-pal let me know via pm. They could even send post cards to each other with pics of there home town on them. LMK if interested.:grouphug:

The girls can plan to meet up first thing in the morning before heading to the terminal. We'll have to arrange a time and place in lobby for everyone to meet in the lobby in the am. (We'll figure that out closer to cruise time). It would be great if you are taking the DCL transfer bus. You can just hook up with our group at the Hyatt and the girls can hang at the terminal waiting to board. I'm sure in time they'll have that all planned out and let us parents know.

Gina,

My twins would love to email/write to your daughter. Not sure if they are too young for her or not they will be six when we cruise and turning seven four months after the cruise. They are only five now but soon turning six. They too are wicked girlie girls..Krisitn

Hi everyone!
Just checking in on all of you. I may have to go back in this thread and take notes - it's hard to keep track of who is who!

Got our airfare on Thanksgiving morning - woohoo! For those Minnesotans who know how much we pay to fly from our wonderful state, we did pretty good. Flying Sun Country for $260. The fares went up to $330 on Friday am so I caught it just right. Checking every day paid off I guess. Now that I have hotel and airfare handled, I can kick back and relax!:thumbsup2

When I told my DH I got the airfares, he looked at me and said "I didn't know the cruise was a sure thing. I'm a little Disneyed out."

He'll have to get back on the bandwagon. He has a few months to warm up to the idea! He's not a Disney guy but puts up with me and the kids.;)

Hope everyone has a good week. Finals in our house so the teens could be "testy" !:rotfl2: My daughter would be rolling her eyes on that play on words!:rotfl:

Oh yes, if I know Heather, she will let me know what we are doing...

I spent the afternoon wrapping presents! I had to, or else a nosey little girl would probably be snooping around after school and before I get home...

Well back to work tomorrow, back to reality and stability. It's been a whirlwind week since I've seen my desk! :scared1: with the funeral and Thanksgiving...

We're expecting ice and snow tomorrow. Have a good evening and keep warm!

Sandy

hi everyone, well we had a really nice weekend here. Saturday night we had the Santa Parade to go to and the kids LOVED seeing :santa: ! they are really excited now and want one of everything in the store LOL.
