Hey Kristin,

Welcome Gina!!! So glad you are joinig us. This is our first DCL cruise and I am also very excited!



Well we just got back from visiting the grandkids in AZ. We had a great time. We spent some time up in the mountains where it was much cooler than where they lived. It was nice to get away from the heat. I think at one point, it got up to 115 at there house. and up in the mountains it was between 75-85. Needless to say, the cooler temperature was much more enjoyable. And it is always fun playing with the grandkids.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! And is having a pleasant summer!

Welcome To The Rose gang. We are so glad that you are cruising with us!! We are gonna have a blast.

Kritter.....sorry I did not respond sooner. We spent the weekend with the girls shopping for last minute school supplies. We enjoyed a nice lunch together and just enjoyed each others company.

RanCan: We traveled to Arizona this summer as well. We were visiting family. It is very different from Ky. But I loved it! I enjoy taking pictures so we had plenty to share with everyone when we came home. It was our first airplane trip. We all were very nervous but we survived....haha. We would fly again. That is the best way to travel. What part of Arizona did you visit? We were in Tucson and Phoenix.

Sounds like you had fun getting ready for back to school...


We still have a few weeks before we have to worry about that.
Off to Cape Cod for a week at the beach in a week and a half.

Then the kids have one week till they start Kinder.

We were in Phoenix. They live just outside of Phoenix. I bet it was pretty hot for you. They are also right in the middle of their monsoon season, so we got a lot of thunder storms while we were there. It's so much fun getting to know everyone on this board.

Thanks Tammy! I can't wait for our cruise! We are going on RCCL this October. We were soooo excited about our DCL cruise we couldn't wait that long so we decided to book a short cruise close to home. It's probably nothing like DCL, but I hope it will pacify us until next year. It probably won't though. I'm sure we'll be even more excited.

RanCan: Yes, It was really warm but there was no humidity like we have in Ky. So it was tolerable. As we were leaving Tuscon to go to Phoenix, there was a storm with a lot of lightening. My cousin said it was the beginning of their Monsoons. I hope you enjoy your cruise!

Our school starts back Wed. and I am not ready. Opening day is tomorrow for me. We did some last minute school shopping over the weekend. Shelby is having family and a few friends over to watch High School Musical 2 on Aug. 17th. So I was stocking up on High School Musical items to give as gifts. We are rolling out the red carpet for them. I enjoy having all the kids over.

My twins are very excited for HS Musical 2...........

Wow, where have I been?? I have missed all of the great discussion about my home state! Yes, it is hot in Arizona, but this past week the monsoons have really brought the humidity. It has been in the high 80's/low 90's but HUMID. It feels like I am back in the midwest!

My kids are very excited about High School Musical 2 also. A party sounds like it would be really fun, but with my newest injury it just isn't possible. I don't know if I ever told y'all, but I broke my ankle and tore a tendon last May and I've been going to the pediatrist since. Three weeks ago, he gave me some orthotics and told me I was doing great. Earlier today, I was at school setting up my classroom and I was moving a filing cabinet when I rolled my ankle and re-sprained it. Ouch! I spent the afternoon in Urgent Care, got a new brace and some crutches just in time for school to start on Wednesday.
