My girls wanted to see Hannah Montana soooo bad but the concert was on a Wednesday night. We are active in our church and it was also a school night. My oldest daughters best friend invited her go and we said no. Come to find out the tickets were sold out within minutes of sales so she could not have gone if we had allowed her to.

Glad you were able to get tickets!!

Trying to catch up on reading our thread! Oh, My! How the posts numbers have grown! We are not getting THAT excited about the cruise, now, are we?!?!? :lmao: As far as some questions that have been asked, count me in for the "list" as well as a brunch!

Kritter: Keep checking Target for the Wii..I have seen a few at times at our local store...Good luck! I guess it IS that time of year to start holiday shopping, huh? In my family, I feel a new house with a new kitchen should be good enough, dontcha' think?!? :lmao: (Kiddos may not agree though...)

Yes, we did get tickets. I think our seats are pretty good actually.
Our concert is a Wed. night too the kids will be beat the next day.

I am not having a good day today. Just got an awfull phone call that my really really good friends father had a massive heart attack and died this morning.

Thanks I am going to keep checking headed out to Walmart now to see if I can get one...

We did not see Hannah Montana, first of all, it was on the day we came back from Disney. Second, I doubt we would have been able to get tickets.

We are seeing HSM on ice in mid December, I bought those tickets like last February, it's a miracle I haven't lost them!!! We have also seen the stage production twice, and I think I am buying dd tickets to see it again in April for one of her Christmas or birthday gifts.

I was volunteering at the school but logged on to fill my addiction, the DIS-addiction,that is LOL I haven't heard from my dh yet, he is at work now. Waiting patiently to hear if all is well with Carol.

Kristin, I just read that you did an add on for DVC. Congrats. The way the CAD is right now, an add on would be awsome, but we just did that not long ago at SSR. The Dollar is at $1.10, good for us Canadians. It is causing some problems though in stores as we want to pay the listed US price, some places are doing it, (ie. Walmart). My ds wants the Wii for Christmas, I am on the fence about it, he has a DS and a gamecube, I don't see the point in getting another one, he does however. We'll see. They are very hard to come by around here as well.

I am good for the brunch as well, but having a cool beverage by the pool puts me in my happy place ;)

It is brisk around here today, I have the Weather Network on my desktop so I can see that it is 18 (64) in Orlando and 3 (37) here in Toronto. Wish I was there.

Have a good afternoon everyone.:goodvibes :goodvibes

I am so Sorry about your friends Dad, that is so sad. My thoughts are with you.

Gina one thing to note on the Wii, is that it can play gamecube games and use the game cube controllers, if that makes a difference or not. I am not a good person to ask though, as my kids have Gamecube, PS2, Wii, each has a DS and each has a Gameboy Advance SP LOL!

It's no fun without those lower categories on DCL's site, cuz now I can't price both of my cabins to see how much they've gone up in price, only the one. It appears my Cat 5 has gone up $857. But I can't check my Cat 11.

Gina,

Oh let us know when DH hears from Carol...

Hope all is well with everyone....

We were totally excited to add on. The offer right now was too good to pass up....Lets hope I can rent some of these points out.....

Hi Erika, I just learned that about the Wii, my ds would be on the video games all the time if I let him. He really wants it though, I really am on the fence.

It seems like this cruise is filling up fast. As this is my first cruise, does it make a difference if the ship is sold out or not. I guess the pools will be busy etc. We are booked for a cat 9, 1st dining but are looking to change to cat 8 as the room in cat 9 was awful. We sent an email to Carol asking if we transfered our ressie to her and went to cat. 8 would be still get to keep 1st dining. Waiting to hear.

DVC does make me happy, being able to rent out helps out as well. We are considering a March Break trip, either offsite or using our points. We will rent out the points though if we are staying offsite. It makes sense to rent them out and use the money to put towards a Villa during March break. With the cold weather coming, I wish I could be there now.

Good day everyone! It seems everyone is busy posting today. I'm skipping work to check out the disboards.

belle1627, hope things will work out for your booking. I wouldn't worry about too many people on the ship. By the time everyone spreads out you won't even know its full. I'm not sure about Ajax, but we woke up to about 2 inches of snow this morning in Stouffville.. It's a frosty one!

kritter, congrats on getting more DVC points. We purchased ours 2 months ago and now with CDN $ rising even more were considering adding more. I would love to know what sort of incentives they were offering. And we cannot decide to where we want to book for July. Either SSR or Animal Kingdom. Or break it up and do both. Would love to know your thoughts on the DVC resorts you've or anyone has stayed at.

Oh well it looks like winter has arrived here in Ontario. Time to pull out the ski equipment and put away the short and flip flops.

Cheers,

Alex of

Yuck, 2 inches of snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can keep it up north if you don't mind. Here in Minnesota we are not ready for snow yet. But then again I never am.

I love my DVC also, but I am terribly jealous of Kristin and her add on!

I don't mind having the Wii in addition to have the other game systems and they whole family likes to play the sports stuff together. Plus, a lof of the games, you play standing up so it's a little more active than a regular video game at least.

Snow!!!! Oh no!!! Its brisk but not too cold here in Ajax. I do not want snow.

We have stayed at OKW, which I really like (we own there), we have stayed at BWV, which is Awesome, I love the Boardwalk. We went on a tour of AKV which were stunning. We have stayed at AKL and had a savannah view, breathtaking. We also recently went to Vero Beach, I can't wait to go back there. My kids love the ocean, it was so relaxing. I haven't stayed at SSR yet though, we recently bought there. When we did we also received the previous years points so it was a good deal. Our guide is Steve Tinn. Nice guy.

Gina, Oh gosh great minds think alike that is me just want to relax with a drink in my hand tooo!!!!!!!

Erika,
Allen started keeping a list. I am sure he will post about it on here.. He emailed me last night a copy of it to see what I thought.

Anyone else think a list is a good idea??

Thanks again Allen..

I think a list is a fantastic idea:thumbsup2 can't wait to see it!
and I can't believe the amount of posts in the last couple of days! I have to catch up LOL

BTW we have no snow here yet in London (ontario) but it is sure freezing though:eek: it is -4 with the windchill. Well I better get going, got to pick up my DS at school. Hope everyone has a nice day.

All hail Carol :worship: I spoke with her tonight and we are confirmed for 1st dining and we got the room we wanted. YAHHHHH!!! I am so pleased. So you are all stuck with us!!! :goodvibes:

WHOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gail,

I emailed Carol for you too. I think she is going to work on it for you...

About DVC I love it could not love it anymore. SSR is our favorite spot to go. I have not been to any other ones. I have visited Boardwalk Villas friends were there. Personally at SSR it calm and nice grounds. WE love the closeness to DTD..
I think I have pictures of SSR if you want me to try and post them??Just let me know.

Added on yesterday and was able to use the points to make a ressie today. Staying two weeks in the summer. Hoping to be able to do a week in Vero if I can get it..Did someone say they have been there before?????

Yep, we were there in September. It wasn't busy during that time at all. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and it was beautiful. I loved the jacuzzi tub. The beach is very private, you need your room key to get in and out, it is for VB guests only. You do have to rent an umbrella, chairs which can be costly but we did a swap on the DIS, so that worked out great, we had chairs, boogie boards, pails shovels etc. If you go, try to get on that, we just made a donation. Anyhoo, the pool and slide was awesome. The area appears quite vast in pictures but it is quite small and cozy. You can walk from one side to the other in minutes. There are many childrens programs, my kids made necklaces, cooking class, designed umbrellas, went to an unbirthday party, there was a pool dj party and so much more. You do have to supervise them in the programs though (except for the unbirthday party). Most crafts have a nominal fee (cheaper for DVC members, but reasonable). The restaurant was really good, not much around the area, but we did go out for dinner once, great restaurant and not far. The CM's were amazing and were there the entire time we were so we really got to know them, and vice versa. My kids loved them. They also did a campfire with songs. There is lots to do but plenty of relaxing time too. We will definately be going back. We went for 3 nights 4 days.

:goodvibes

Thanks! I just e-mailed her the rest of the information she wanted. Besides the credit, what benefits are you getting for booking as a group?
