Hello all!
Just popping in for a few minutes.

The kids got out of school an hour early today. We have had SO much rain, the ground is saturated, so now the rivers and creeks are rising. They called school so they were sure everyone would get home! This happens nearly every spring. Where there are hills, there are valleys and valleys fill up with water!

Since they were home early, I was able to get my car loaded and ready to go to the school. I have to say, HOW do people with small cars do it? My Yukon XL is LOADED front to back and stacked to the roof! If I had a little car, I'd be making 4 trips with all this stuff! I don't care what anyone says about my gas guzzlin' beast, I love my truck!

I better go freshin-up for this evenings festivities! HA ha ha! Doing the McD's drive through for dinner! The meal of champions!

Oh, I too, am French Canadian! My maiden name is Vassar, which changed over the years from Le Vasseur. Story is that it was changed a few generations ago so the Mafia wouldn't find my relative. Seems to me that either the Mafia was REALLY stupid to not be able to figure that out, or it was my relative that was really stupid to think that would work!

Okay, have to get busy......I'll be back later!

A long time ago one of my aunts had a family tree made. I think our name had changed about 20 or 30 times but I never found out why
