That's how it was here too!!!!!
Randy and DBIL decided to do most of the work themselves.....that's why it took over 2 years to complete!!!
But after it was finished...........WOW......I was very pleased with it......and even now, 3 years later I still talk about certain things in this house I love!!!

So Kristin, just think about how wonderful the finished product will be when you're getting frustrated......just keep telling youself "the more they are here working, the quicker it will be finished!"
Just remember, every pounding and banging noise you hear is one nail closer to having it done!!

I remember the lowest point of our remodel (other than my broken ankle) was when we had the wettest winter on record, and we didn't have a roof over our heads (literally) only the ceiling and tarps. It was so windy too, and the wind kept blowing the tarps off the roof, and people who were trying to help us tie the tarps back down, in the rain, in the middle of the night......a couple of them stepped through and put holes in our ceiling, then we ended up having water damage in the house.............Randy came in and said..."This house is going to end up killing me!"
It was awful!!!!

YIKES!!!!!! what a story.....glad to hear it was worth it in the end!!

Randy ordered a laptop last night!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
We should get in about 2 weeks!!!!

Watch out everyone......we both might be chatting at the same time!!!:lmao:

awesome!!!!!!! that's great news CONGRATS on the new laptop!!! just one question, who will get the new one? LOL

hmm never tried it! my fave is Bailey's Irish Cream with banana liqueur mixed with milk and ice!!!!!!! sooooooo good!

Just popping on to say hi and good night!
It's been a long day!
On the way to take Connor to school, I hit a mallard duck with my truck. The driver's side headlamp to be exact. I hit him on his underbelly. I have no idea what happened to him. He was not laying on the side of the road when I came back.
THEN, at 10 til 5 this evening, the neighbor, who house Connor was playing at, called to tell me Connor was on his way home, but he was hurt. They were playing with Nerf Dart Guns, and when Connor ducked to miss being hit, his mouth hit the patio chair, chipping his tooth!! Front, Center Right tooth! UGH. I called the Dentist at 455, and they had me to bring him right in. THANKFULLY, they were able to patch it and you can't even tell it happend! We were home by 530! Connor was very upset by it though. Also, our pediatric dentist is our neighbor, so he was so very nice with Connor.
Then I took off at 7 to go to the school for a parent's meeting for the 5th grade reception, and I just got back a few minutes ago.
Of course, daily life has to happen with all of that going on too...like making dinner and doing wash and working....
I will try to get on tomorrow, but of course, the boys have youth group and choir practice, then Thursday our mattresses will be delivered and Friday night is the Boy Scout Blue and Gold Crossover Dinner.
See you on the cruise!!! :lmao:
