Oh Gina! I hope they don't have the Chicken Pox! Connor got them last January, even with the vaccine! It was called Post Vaccination Vericella. He was home for about a week with it. Without the vaccine, it can last up to 2 weeks! I would call your doctor. Maybe they can offer some medicine that might shorten the duration.

I have a funny story about when Connor had the pox.....

I had decided, since i was home all week, that I was going to Swifter the walls in my bedroom....yanno, the floor Swifter thing, but on the walls. Before I started, I had asked him when lunch was so I could go and get his schoolwork. He was going to stay home alone while I ran over there. Well, he told me one time, but when I checked the schedule, it was later. I told him, I am not going to leave now, your lunch isn't until blah blah time. He was playing a game on the PS at the time, so he didn't fully hear me. I then start to clean the walls in my bedroom. I shut the door so I could get behind it, and then was running it up and down the wall....hitting the ceiling and the baseboards in the process. When I was done, the Swifter was FILTHY. I thought, cool, Connor would want to see this, so I walked down the hall to the bonus room to show him and he's not there. I start yelling for him, but he's not answering, so I start to panic, Where could he be? I got the landing and yelled down, CONNOR!!!! I then heard the bathroom door open downstairs and he walks into the foyer in tears! I said, Where were you? He says, sobbing, I was in the bathroom. I thought you left. I thought there was a robber in the house! OMG. I then notice he has the phone, I asked, Who's on the phone? He says, "the police, they want to talk to you!" O M G! Needless to say, he thought I left, and he thought the banging the bedroom was a robber going through our stuff! He did the right thing by calling the police on the cordless and locking himself in the downstairs bathroom. the police ended up coming anyway, since they were already dispatched and nearly to the house. He was SUPER nice and told Connor what a great job he'd done and he'd done the right thing. Connor does not like to stay home to this day. He will go with me nearly everywhere, even if Colton is here. it really spooked him....but I just find it a very funny story now. House cleaning led to the police showing up at my house! It's just not good to house clean!

OMG Michele,

That is a funny story...I love it that is one to go down in the history books....
Great, idea to swiffer the walls, I never thought of that.......!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh good heavens, what a story! Poor Connor... but way to GO on doing the right thing! I am so impressed with him!!!

Sean has never had the CP vaccine, and to our knowledge never had the CP either. However, a few months ago he had this rash area on his back, and the ped was absolutely positive it was SHINGLES! Did a lab to check his titers, and lo and behold, it was indeed shingles. Meaning at some point in time he had CP and we never knew it... sheesh! Kids!

Tonight is education night for daddy (trying to improve skills) and so I need to come up with something fun to do with the kids. Something without going out in public though, as the FLU and some nasty awful colds are out in the world right now, and we do NOT need that at all! Hmm.... maybe an air hockey tournament upstairs in the library? Or, I know, we could set up a jigsaw puzzle I have that we have never opened, one of those 3D ones...

Personally I want to take a long hot bubble bath and go to bed! LOL!

I,, feel like I want to take a loooooong hot bath too. But, honestly I'm too tired!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all!! I have both babies down for a nap..AT THE SAME TIME! WHOOO HOOO!! So I can get in a shott Dis time!

Kristin, we have ate at Mexico, Boma and Garden Grill. The GG is fun! It's another character meal and it's served family style. So if the girls will eat what's on the menu, I would do it! We were there in June. The boys still love it. Mexico, we thought the food was good...and Margaritas were STRONG. The atmosphere is just neat in there. And Boma is another of our favorites. It is a buffet, so you are up and down...something to concider with the girls. Mine are old enough to go up by themselves, so it makes it easier. We have never been to B&C and do want to go, but it was also my understanding that they don't take ADRs? That means a long wait in line to get a table. They may have changed that since the last time I looked at going there. One of our faves is Le Cellier, we try to go there everytime.
the beer bread IS addicitng isn't it?? and it's so easy to make too! My boys just love it! when I made it on Saturday, Connor walked through the house and said, "Is that beer bread I smell??" It was so cute. Maybe I'll make some tonight to go with the skillet stroganoff and the snow storm we're suppose to get!

I knew I should have taken notes while I got caught up....

Let's see....

Candy, glad you had the evening off and were able to relax! Colton is really wanting to learn to cook, and I know I should let him and teach him, but it just seems when I am cooking, I just need everyone out of the way! LOL

Allen, sounds like you are going to have a wonderful trip!! I look forward to seeing the photos!!!

Denis the menace..(like I am sure you haven't been called that a time or two!)....congrats on 2800!! and Nancy, I loved your comment...I'm funny and he's insane!

The Kingdom tower looks like its going to be nice! I would love to stay there, even just once. Hopefully, by the time it's built we will be in a better situation financially and we'll be able to afford DVC then. maybe that goal will help us to get there faster!

well, that's all I can remember for now, I am sure I am forgetting something...and Jenna wants the computer so she can play BunnyTown. I'll be back later!!!
If he wants to learn how to cook by all means don't get in his way of learning! You never know what the future holds and you could have a master chef on your hands. Move over Mario Betalli, the new master chef is here LOL

Candy, HAVE FUN AT DL!!! Steve has been there for a Rite Aid Trade Show, but we have never been as a family. That's one park I would like try. Steve says it's not WDW, that it's just okay. :confused3 I would still like to go though!

Michelle, Alex, Mags and 'Becca! We got your chocolates today! WAY too cute! I wish I had thought of doing the Hidden Mickeys!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

The temps are dropping and the wind is picking up. We're in for a nasty night. I am going to get gas in my truck...since the light came on and it said, "low fuel", :sad2: and then we are in for the night! Maybe we'll have a 2 hour delay tomorrow??
I don't think I have ever seen that light go out in my ugly work car but I call it an experiment to see how long it can go before it burns out...2 years so far :lmao:

Thanks so much, unfortunately at this point if she has it there is nothing the dr. can give to slow it down. I gave her some motrin for the fever and it broke, then she was hungry and ate all her dinner which is a good sign then, did some crafts and was in good spirits, so I don't know. I guess we will have to wait and see. I pray that it isn't.

That story is too much!! What a smart boy to do what he did, what a shock for both of you. I guess looking back its funny now but I'm sure it wasn't then:goodvibes

I also hope it's not CP...sorry to hear this.
We are pretty sure J is getting what seems to be travellig the world. He was complainin about being cold all night so we gave him an extra comforter on his bed and I turned up the heat for a bit. He is looking like he is sick and I don't like seeing him this way.

Isn't it awful when your babies are sick. It does seem like something is going around. I'm glad we aren't flying, wouldn;t want to be in an airplane with that recycled air.

it took 2 weeks for it to go away, but I was sick for 3 weeks with a cold!!! longest month I ever went through LOL

Gina, I hope she gets better and it turns out to be nothing.

Kristin, I hope you get better soon. I wouldn't wait too long to call the dr for yourself.

Denis, you certainly don't want me cleaning house. I HATE to clean house and general just do what I need to, to get by!

The snow is falling, but since it's rained all day, the ground isn't warm enough to stick yet. Still they say, 2 -4 inches in the next 24 hours.
::::quietly chants...snow day, snow day, snow day:::::::
