We definately goto the DVC owners get together. I was also wondering about the freebees and goodies left in you room for the DVCer's. I was under the impression that you only received stateroom goodies if you booked using your DVC pts. Therefore, like us, if you paid cash. No goodies.
Although last year on the cruise they gave DVC members baseball caps and pins.

From what I have read on the DIS boards, you do not have to use your DVC points to get goodies. I will try to find the thread.

Hi everybody,

I have not been on in a long time. Tonya told me about the new thread. Sounds like everyone is ready to go on the cruise now, I know I am!! :yay: I have been working doing taxes for H&R Block so I have been really busy.:scared: I ordered my passporter book and I'm looking forward to getting it and finding out about cruising with Disney. This is our first time to go on any kind of cruise. We are all looking forward to Oct, but mean while we are helping to plan a wedding.:lovestruc :dance3: My middle son, who is in the army, is getting married in May. So right now we are pretty focused on wedding plans. Well, I hope that I can visit the thread more often and try to stay in touch.

Jamie

Hi there, and congrats to your son. Sounds like you are very busy!!!

Thank you for the get well wishes. Colton is so sick. He is back in bed....fever, cough, congestion...but no more loss of bodily fluids. Connor is totally better. I don't think it was that stomach problem he has, just maybe ate something that didn't agree with him. He is watching the movie Holes....for the 100th time!

You can count on Steve, aka Bubba, to meet the guys for a few beers and you can count on ME to meet with the ladies! I won't have to worry about babysitting though. Seems my monsters will have the run of the ship...well, sort of!

The chocolate is in the hands of the USPS, so you should get them this week!

Making a spinach salad for dinner, with strawberries, almonds and grilled chicken breast. I am so hungery for this dish, I am thinking I might have to have dinner early tonight!

Oh I'm sorry to hear about Colton but I'm glad Connor is feeling better. Can't wait to get the chocolates, and I am sure us girls will have a great time!!!! You always make such yummy dinners,

Hey everyone! I was wondering how we are doing on the chocolate deal! I have been gone for the last few days and I have been getting pm's and I am not sure where we are!

Thanks, we are happy for him and his fiancee. She is great too! The wedding is going to be small but it is going to be held at a small chapel in the woods. It has glass windows all along the sides so the out side is visible all around. They are having it in the evening at sunset. I am going to have to start looking for a dress. You guys sound like you have been having fun chatting back and forth. What is this chocolate thing you all have been talking about? I am a chocolate fanatic! Count me in!

Jamie

I seem to have "but first" disease today. I'll start to run the sweeper, but first, I'll let the dogs out, and since I am out here, I might as well check the mail, and while I am throwing away the mail, I might as well sit down and check my email.....

Happy Saturday to you!
The sun is shining and after a cold start, it is warming up nicely!

Connor is back to square one. I thought he was okay, but after eating an apple with peanut butter, he lost it. The funny part is, I just want to leave and go shopping! They are so good to take care of themselves, but I have no desire to do what I need to do, and since they can't help me this weekend, I am even less ambitious! I'd much rather be at the mall or walmart or eating lunch out! Oh well...

.....My dh started showing more interest last night in the group (he loves our vacations, but just goes along with what I plan). He said at dinner last night he hopes some of the guys want to hang out and drink some beers. Any of you guys up for that invite???.....
I'm in!!

Erika,

You can count Bruce in for that he is always up for some guy talk and a beer. Last time my dad and him went to the beer tasting and really like it...

Erika I am insulted and can't believe you would bring up a topic like this Ahahahaha! I didn't think anyone would fall for that, I'll be buying some beer at every port just to do a taste test, count me in.
We went to Antigua on our first eastern, and the best thing about it was the view from the ship, and the beer! Caribe was the name...I have a picture from the port I will post later...I even brought home a bottle...an empty one...

I would like to see the girls all go out one night and the guys can all go out another night. I'll be bringing my laptop anyways, maybe download a movie or ten so I won't be bored on babysitting night.
Thats what the kids clubs are for!!!

Alec will definately be into hanging out and drinking beer,:drinking1
I'll bring one of my mugs...or maybe I'll add one to my collection!!:drinking1
BTW, I made it to Michaels today, and got all they had of the ships,(4) and the treasure chest were on sale for 4.99, down from 7.99, got 4 of them AND something pink!!!

Sounds like that dining room is gonna have no idea what hit it!!!!!!!!!!!

We did this on the Member Cruise last year. 91 of us all sat together and we took over the whole right side of the Triton's.

It doesn't matter if yo book on points or using cash. You will still get the DVC gifts.

A girls night out sounds like a lot of fun to me!!!!!!!
I don't drink....but if you don't mind...I would love to join you all and have a diet coke!!!!

Michele, I hope your boys feel better soon!!!

Jamie, congrats on your sons wedding and it is so good to here from you!!!

Kristin, boy that list is getting long....we are going to have a great time!!!

Allen, I love your siggy!!!!

I just did the pirate names survey for myself and the boys... I have to say it came out very interesting, since I am married to Calico Sam Flint, my older boy is Dirty Sam Flint, and my younger boy is Captain Sam Kidd. I myself am Captain Bess Rackham... how on EARTH did I end up married to a Sam and have both my boys named Sam too?

LOL!

So.... those of you who have done excursions on this cruise before, we are considering a snorkle excursion of some kind, but were curious which one was best?

Trying to talk my older boy (13/14) into going parasailing since he wants to be an astronaut, but so far its a no go... he gets this wild panicky look on his face whenever I mention it. LOL!

Have a LOVELY day all!

Here is the Magic just leaving port today.....I wish I was an her!!!

Anyone know when the best night to book Palo is????

we booked ours for a formal night. The boys ate alone in Animator's Palate! It must have been the second formal/semi-formal night. We knew our servers well by then and she even said she would love to "watch out' for our boys. I'm not sure if we'll do Palo's again or not. we've not talked about it.

Connor is watching Black Hawk Down. He is totally all boy! He loves to watch the Military Channel, History Channel, play Call of Duty, and he'll even wear pink for his Momma! :rotfl: He keeps talking during the movie...oh, that's a blah blah blah gun! Oh, that's a such and such tank. Whatever. to me, this movie is a bunch of noise! :confused3
