This simply unacceptable and was very rude of that family. Unless you were into food fights or chewed with your mouths open I don't see where anyone deserves this kind of treatment. I would have showed up every night and done whatever I could to return the favor of making them feel like rejects.I appreciate this, but It's alright. I talk to DD and she wants to stick to our original plan.
We did a Disney Cruise in Sept of 2006. We were placed at a table with another family of 5. It was very obvious that they did not want us there and they were very rude to us, especially to Merkie, the very first night. After that, Merkie refused to go back. We ate at Topsiders every night but the last night and pizza that night. Topsiders was actually great. It was the same group of people every night. There was a couple with a very small baby (maybe two or three months), a elderly couple, a family of four who could not get their children to sit through the long meals and then occasionally another group would wonder in and out. We were able to choose from various items being served in the formal restaurants. Once, the elderly couple asked for something being served at Lumiere's which wasn't listed on our menu, but the server went and got it for them. Topsider's was so much more relaxing. The volume of course was much lower. Everyone chatted together. We were like our own little group. They sat us all at tables by the windows and every night but one, we watched dolphins jump in and out of the ocean as we ate. Our meals lasted thirty to forty minutes as opposed to two hours. The wait staff were more like butlers. There were three every night serving just our little group. They literally stood just a few feet away and when we needed something it was there before we even had a chance to ask for it.
Long story short, I had promised Merkie that we would just plan on doing Topsiders this time. I have already requested a table for just DD and myself for Saturday and Friday since Topsiders won't be open on those days. They said that they would try. I promised Merkie that if they do not give us a table for two, we would just order room service or eat casually. She wants to stick to this plan.
I do appreciate you checking with your tablemates about adding us though.

Cruise Question:
Rich and I STILL cannot decide on a night for Palo(or if we'd rather have the brunch LOL). So I'm wondering just how soon we find out our dining rotation. Do we find out when we check in at the port? Or do we wait until we get to our rooms?
TY

CRUISE QUESTION
When is the best time to log onto the website to book???? Should we log in right when it opens up or just before????

Maureen,
It's on a ticket on your dresser in your stateroom. When I tried to prebookon the 90 day out day, brunch was not available so I booked it on a sea day night so that there was no rush to get back on a port day.
