I don't even care what they do with the laundry, if they want it neat, great, if they want the drawers a mess, that's good with me LOL. It's funny though, I do not fold my socks or undies, just shove them in a drawer, and when I need 2 socks, I pull out 2 that match. Steves on the other hand are rolled in pairs and neatly put away. Alexa's sock drawer looks exactly like mine and Matthew rolls his in pairs LOL.

Allen, I DO remember that song!!! Singing along now!!

Kristin, you are very lucky to have such a wonderful Mom!!

I too, was doing my own wash at about 10 years old. Mostly because I was tired of getting my sister's undergarments and not my own! I drew the line at that! LOL So, from then on I did my own! I have spoiled everyone in this house by doing all of the wash AND putting it away. Now I am asking for help and I am getting dissention in the ranks! It's just not fair! LOL Heck, I could give up and let everyone do thier own (HA!) but I can tell you, when Steve was in college, he took his clothes to a laundry mat and had then done! She charged 60 cents a pound and it was all washed, pressed and ready to wear. Even his underwear came back looking like it just came out of the package, no lie! I think she even pressed those! I guess I just need to stand my ground and he'll put them away.......eventually! Heck, I did 5 loads just today! I think I did 3 or 4 yesterday. Today was 3 loads of sheets and 2 of clothes though. I need a manicure! LOL

I hear you with the drawers but I still pick out their clothes which I know is soon coming to an end. So once I stop having to go in those drawers everyday then I guess I should not care. The thing about the sock is every morning I say to Bruce we have sock issues in this house. We always have such trouble finding matching socks for the kids. I do roll them together but I will tell you somehow we can never find what we need they are all chucked into the drawer and we can never find what we need in the morning...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone just drove by and hit our neighbors mailbox we heard this noise and they were dragging the mailbox and the women made her son get out of the car and put it on the lawn. How in the world she hit it is beyond us. But this is our "idiot" neighbor and his wife will be mad tomorrow...:scared1: :scared1: when she sees this. They live set back so they would not have heard or seen this happen. I guess you can say payback is a .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bruce, was on the phone with our other neighbor and they were laughing....!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh my, poor mailbox!! Should be interesting LOL!

Wait until your kids start wearing the same size socks as you do, heck, Alexa and I have the EXACT same socks. That makes doing laundry VERY interesting!

Oh gosh Michele you did a lot of laundry today....I do need to do the kids sheets tomorrow......!!!!!!!!!

Oh, see, that is part of my problem! LOL I would rather wash it all and fold it neatly and then let them put it away, then to watch them shove it all in a drawer with no rhyme or reason! LOL I AM picky about that! All socks get matched and undergarments folded. My neighbor called a few weeks ago and asked if I folded bras and panties. I said, Yes. She stared laughing and said to her daughter, See! I told you! Of course I was like, What??? And she started laughing saying that she and her daughter were having an arguement about whether they should be folded or not. Um, yes! they fit in the drawer SO much nicer that way and you can see what you need/want without digging! Just my Virgo neat freak way. Although, my whole house is not like that....odd.....

Poor mailbox, but made me laugh they kind of deserve it since they are not nice people. But how did she hit it is beyond me...>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3 :confused3
Oh gosh that would make the laundry interesting..

What is the weather like there Erika???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh gosh Michele you did a lot of laundry today....I do need to do the kids sheets tomorrow......!!!!!!!!!

The sheets were alot..one load for each bed. The clothes....ugh, the clothes. It's that dadgum football uniform! They get one practice pants and shirt and one gameday pants and shirt. So, if they practice and get sweaty, I am washing it EVERY night. If they are muddy, in the wash it goes!! I have probably only let him rewear it without washing it twice this season! That washer is going everyday!!!

I know laundry is just such a pain and there is not an easy way to get it all done and put away either!!!!!!!!!!

I guess the easy way would be like Heidi and just let everyone fend for themselves!!!

Speaking of which...there goes the dryer. Better get it before it wrinkles!

Well it was in the 60's today, and will only drop to the 50's tonight but tomorrow a front comes through and it gets nasty. Windy, thunderstorms, then snow maybe Friday or Saturday, still nasty winds then. There are already blizzard watches in the northern part of the state. Can I go back 2 days when it was 74???

Oh yuck Erika!! Do people panic and clear the shelves of milk and bread? LOL they do here and snow doesn't last but maybe 24 hours here! My friend and I, we both grew up in Ohio and ended up here, anyway, we joke all the time about that! Once they say we'll get snow, whether it's 2 inches or 2 feet, people panic and clear out the store shelves!! And no kidding, snow does not last here. It it snowed today, it'd be gone tomorrow!

I know the sheets are a lot to do. I hate doing the sheets and it takes forever to remake my kids beds, with all of the stuffed animals that they keep in their beds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly! And I know I am the overly prepared Girl Scout, but I have enough stuff in this house to last a few days, AND I could MAKE bread from scratch if I needed to. I just don't get it. Oh well....

Connor had an enlightment tonight. When he got out of the shower, he came and found me and said, "Mom, we're in the history books now, aren't we?" I was a little confused and then he said, "Yanno, Obama being the first African American President" then it dawned on me, I said, "Oh! Yeah it is a pretty important day in history" Then he said, "So like 300 years from now, kids will be reading about Obama like we are reading about Washington now?" I said,"Yeah, they will" It's pretty cool if you look at it that way.

Oh gosh that is cute. Hanna was asking Bruce this morning too about the election she was telling him that her teacher said she was living a piece of history if he was elected. That was the first question she asked him this morning who won the election!!!!!!!!!!
