So here it is Sunday morning, and we had a can of Spam to consume!

Setting up to cook breakfast!

Cooking the gelatinous mass!

Plated for consumption!

The Concensus?? Connor who is our picky eater, loved it! He ate several pieces. Colton isn't even out of bed yet. Steve has had it before and is neutral on it. Me, well, if that's all we've got, I'll eat it, but I am not going to make it for myself. I will, however, make it upon Connor's request! It's something he actually liked!!! He ate 2 helpings of it!

So, Denis, we have tried the infamous Spam in a can! Now we'll have to try the other flavors out there!

Call me wierd, but I think your breakfast looks really yummy!!!!! Love the Mickey toast too. Spam for sure looks better after it's cooked! Were you making faces when you sliced it??? LOL!

HI!! We are booked with Bernard too! We'll tour together!

Oh goody. That will be fun to have ya'll there too. I hope Bernard takes my family to LeGalion for our beach excursion but if we end up at St. Orient that will be okay. Also looking forward to the Majo Beach (think that is the name of it) with the airport.

My DH doesn't know I booked Bernards. He said he wanted to be surprised.

He does know we are doing the Pirate themed snorkel through DCL escursions but that is about it.

Erika, when I opened the can, I told Steve it smelled like cat food! LOL I was really, TRUELY shocked that Connor liked it! I love my Mickey toaster! One piece comes out with the face, the other his hand! And when the toast pops out, it plays the tune to the old Mickey Mouse Club! Yanno, Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me?

Nita, we are wanting to see the planes at Maho too. We don't care what beach we go to, really. We have forwarned our boys, 11 and 13, that there might be topless women. They were like, SO? they still walk in on me dressing, so I guess they just don't think it a big deal. Either that, or they are PRETENDING it's not a big deal, so I won't shield thier eyes!

Michelle I can't believe you actually did this. I've never eaten Spam in my life. Consider this kind of an April fools joke on the lot of you. Pffft ya right JUST KIDDING.
I was more afriad of the "it smells like cat food" comments but at least Hornel keeps it to a minimum unlike all the brands we get here in Iglooland. For sure it's not for everyone but it's for me
We were out of eggs this morning so I had a toasted fried Spam and cheese sandwich with a bit of mustard. Kevin asked for a bite, then ran off with half my sammich! He's off the will btw! LOL
Oh and I agree with Erika, I like your mickey toaster!!!

We are OK with the topless women but a little concerned we'll come across a "bottomless" guy. We were hoping to avoid that, esp for DD 8.

We live very close to DFW airport in Texas, right on the flightline...(one reason we were able to get such a great deal when we built our house)....so we can watch planes descending any time. But seeing them on the beach and in that environment will be a whole different ballgame.

I just checked Ebay. Found a few "used" ones for 10 dollars but they wanted 20 or30 for shipping! There were a few never ones for about 30 and only 10 for shipping. Haven't checked if they will ship to Canada.
The new ones have Mickey's face on both sides of the toast.

Last night, during our run, I posted this recipe for Apple Betty. It is SO yummy and SO easy, I thought I would bring it up this morning too! I know Nancy said they were going to make pies today. This is like a crustless pie. I didn't have an already made crust and didn't want to make one, so I tried this. I had enough apples to really double the recipe and make it in a 9x13. I still have a bag of apples already peeled, so I'll have to do something else with them tonight for dessert!

This is almost the same as apple crisp but it's missing the cup of quick cooking oats. Nancy wants to try this one as well but I think it's going to be the Michelle modified one. We'll probably make a half dozen pies and a ton of apple crisp and freeze them all. It's a good Sunday job
