Bruce just got home from his work picnic. HE called me from it to let me know he was on his way to the dr. he pulled his hamstring at the company picnic... He has to stay off of it for a few days if it is not better then it is going to have to be operated on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no Kristin! I will surely keep him in my prayers. It is way too close to the cruise to be having surgeries on hamstrings.

Gas went up 30 cents per litre here today. Crude closed at just a touch over 100 a barrel.....I'm in the wrong buisness

Dennis, don't get me started on gas here in Ontario. I think the gas companies should buy us dinner for what there doing to us. The increase overnite was just insane. And to make it better there hiking it up again tonight. The way I figure it, Since we will be on the cruise in a month. I will be parking my SUV for a week. The money I will save in gas alone should pay for my next cruise

Not just dinner. I think every speculator and executive should be put in maximum security prison in general population!
Well at least for now we both only drive about 5 kilometers per day. I thought of filling the Plymouth POS but changed my mind just in case the gas outlasts the car. The new car we did fill so it's good for a month. With them prices I'll walk to the grocery or beer store LOL

Hey Everybody!!!​

Remember this spring when I showed you a picture of my baby pineapple?????? Well here it is, all grown up and ready to eat!!!!!​

I'm going to enjoy every dog gone bite of it!! It is quite possibly the worlds most expensive pineapple!! I could have had 2 or 3 cases of 12 shipped from Hawaii for what this thing has cost me to grow. But, there aren't to many people who can say they have grown a pineapple, much less 3 of them!!!!!​

OMG Allen, I would LOVE to be able to grow pineapple! WAY too cold for that here though LOL enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! My day is finally done. IT IS FRIDAY!!!

So what is the gas situation in everyone's area. The gas prices have raised several times during the day today. By the time I finished my work at the church and made it to a station to get gas (I was empty) gas prices had gone up to 4.15 a gallon and they would only let you get 15 gallon. I haven't seen any news, but the station said that our Governor has declared a State of Emergency for Kentucky. I'm just sitting back and asking WHY???? The storm hasn't even hit yet. There may not be any damage.

Oh I'm way from any danger. I'm just complaining about gas prices. CNN just gave stories about people in TX who are already stranded on their roofs and Ike hasn't even made landfall yet. They are tying themselves to chimneys, etc with ropes to keep from being blown off the rooftops. It's so sad.

He is in wicked pain. I have never seen him like this before. In 14 years of marriage I can count on one hand how many times he has been to the dr,,.. He is lying down now but can not even stand up.. Randy just left for work,, he is going to be very busy tonight!!! A tragic accident happened.......A Metrolink train and a freight train hit head on!!!!!!!!! I'm sure the train was full because of people heading home from work in L.A.!!!!!!!!!! It looks like a few people were killed and alot of people injured!!!! This wreck has happened in Randy's area, so he will probably be heading right over there after roll call!!!!!!

I'm sure the train was full because of people heading home from work in L.A.!!!!!!!!!! It looks like a few people were killed and alot of people injured!!!! This wreck has happened in Randy's area, so he will probably be heading right over there after roll call!!!!!!

I just saw this on CNN and thought about you guys. Glad to see you are alright. CNN is given 2 confirmed deaths and 12 injuries, but said there are still others in the trains that they recue workers have not reached so those numbers will probably go up.

Kristin, sorry to hear bout Bruce's injury. Make sure he keeps ice packs on it. Very important! Keep him resting with some pain killers.
Hope he feels better, as we say around our house (we all have major sport injuries) Ice is your friend...........

CNN is giving 23 injured with 10 critical now also. That's so sad! I wonder how both trains got on the same track without someone realizing it.
