Oct flight cancellations?

My bestfriends SIL told her that her friends flights for first week in Oct are being cancelled due to weather (?). We are leaving DFW on the 6th and have heard no such thing. I also reassured her that if this was even half way true my friends on the boards would have been all over this by now. Has anyone heard anything about Oct flights?

I have checked several of the airline web sites and they don't have anything about cancellations.

Airlines would not cancel due to Ivan two weeks in advance.

Her flights may have been changed in the periodic airline reshuffle, but it was not due to weather.

I told her that I don't think we have anything to worry about. I don't think they would cancel that far out, esp w/ all the money they already lost cancelling the other flights.

Are you by any chance flying Delta out of DFW? If so, didn't they announce some significant changes in DFW recently? (if not, ignore my post )
