Welcome, we'll be at the MNSSHP on Friday night before the cruise too. I am Christine and I'll be traveling with my DH Joey. This will be our 6th and 7th Disney cruise.

Morning everyone...hate to rub it in (not really;)) but it's going to be in the 70s yet again. We thought it was going to be a really bad winter since it was so cold and rainy in December but so far January has been amazing.

Leaving tomorrow for our cruise, we will spend the night in Ontario, CA so we could eat Chick-Fil-A for dinner and breakfast. We'll be getting on the Wonder Friday. I'll be sure to post pics.

Have a great time Christine! Elizabeth and I leave for our daddy-daughter Disney Trip on Saturday. Looking forward to attacking the parks for 2.5 days. Staying at Sugar Loaf at the Grand Floridian. That part's a surprise as Elizabeth doesn't know I got a concierge room. Trying to get the concierge to get us into California Grill for dinner too - also will be a surprise. This is one of the lowest attendance weekends of the year (we went last year too) and we got to do EVERYTHING with little or no lines all weekend.

finally got the watch the Christening Ceremony...it brought tears to my eyes.

Have fun Jeff!!!

Morning all,

Morgan I hope that forecast is wrong too.

We are back into cold weather too, but nothing like that. Just down to 30 a tonight and 40's during the days.
I just saw the Disney Dream on the morning news and an interview with Captain Tom. I coudl see some of the bridge and of course the view out of the window.

It made me think of all of you so I thought I would stop by for a minute.

My dog Minnie (weighs 90 pounds) thinks she is a lap dog and has managed to snuggle next to me in my chair this morning which means part of my backside is hanging off the edge:lmao: She is sound asleep now so I guess she is comfortable:rolleyes1

Have a good day everyone, I have been reading posts even when I am not posting, so behave yourselves:thumbsup2

Kathy

Awww at least Minnie is comfortable, I guess you needed to go find another place to sit....:rotfl:

Welcome Jennifer!!!

Denise, I agree, I'm ready for October too. I think we will all stay inside and eat left over chili tomorrow for as long as we can, hoping they have a 2 hour delay for school so DD can sleep in and DS doesn't have therapy... :rolleyes1

Not much going on here tonight. This morning DH and DS and I went to town, had breakfast and then bought groceries. Town was EMPTY since it was snowing and kinda nasty. Now we are all slugs after eating our chili and so we are watching some tv together before the kids have to head to bed. :happytv:

Hello fellow cruisers,

It's been a great day here in the St. Louis area. We received between 9-12" of snow and traffic was a nightmare. But I enjoyed the confines of my home as my husband works from home and I'm currently a homemaker with a keen interest in scrapping (new hobby) and the Disboards. LOL However, today, Hubby got out the snow-blower and away I went in earnest to get all the snow off the cars and concrete. Our driveway can hold about 8 cars so it's not an easy task UNLESS you have something that runs on electricity and basically mows the snow away. I finished in about 30 minutes, then I went to my next door neighbors (they're elderly) and snow-blowed their driveway too.

Then I came in to read the disboards. A couple months ago, my son Jonathan, told me the disboards were contagious and he was so right. Unfortunately or not, I haven't spent too much time on the disboards UNTIL we moved our cruise from the west coast to the east. That happened about 10 days ago. So, ever since then, I've looked at fish extenders, scrapbooking pages, magnets for the doors, and looked at cruise prices for 2012 cruises, and found the trip report section.

Then this week, I spent a whole evening reading Jon's recent trip report (or should I say his pre-trip report) and I have to tell you, I laughed so hard when while I was reading he posted on the thread his chosen costume (from his last cruise this past Halloween on the Magic). It was so much fun. I loved the people's reactions, too. One had a emoticon eating popcorn and one had a lot of rolling on the floor laughing emoticons. It was hilarious.

Like I said earlier, then I came into the house afer the snow blowing event to read the disboards AGAIN. LOL I've been working on reading page 1 to page 196 from this site, keeping record who is coming on the cruise, even who is not. It looks we are gonna have an awesome cruise as there are many, many excited people who LOVE to cruise and enjoy their vacations, especially because it's Disney. Woot!! I finally finished today with all the posts until this one. LOL

Kathy, Denise, and Morgan, I know that my daughter Angela and daughter-in-law Ahlam plus me would be super interested in doing something with the scrapbooking page or stickers exchange. I think I mentioned this already, but...Any idea of how we could get a count on who might also be interested?

Welcome to all who have posted something on this thread. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Mike and I have been on 7 cruises--Premier, Carnival (2x), NCL, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Disney. This will be our second on Disney and we love this particular company. Imo, this is on the same level as Celebrity, but with a different clientele. The major difference is this company focuses on family and family type entertainment, which I think is one of the most intriguing and compelling reasons I enjoy cruising with Disney. Celebrity is also a great company, too. Very understated and treats passengers with dignity and respect. I would go with them again, too. Right now, though, Disney is offering for our family, the best cruise for our enjoyment and customer service experience. Love how they are a Happy, happy group, too

Thanks for hearing me tonight. I just wanted to pop in to say hi and let you all know we're still very excited about the trip. Woohoo!!!

Terry

Morning:

Well its really really freezing out today....they are expecting wind chills of -29 today:scared1: So after work, its home and not going anywhere, It will "warm" up this weekend however, going to be in the mid-20's for the game on Sunday.....da BEARS & GreenBay.......GO BEARS!!!!

Terry....yes these boards are addicting, however, once we start getting closer to cruise time, it will get even more so....back in 2008 when most of us cruised before we were averaging something like 6-8 pages per day. Maybe more....so beware!!!:goodvibes

well I gotta run...will be back later

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Well, we are setting at -3 so far, NOT counting wind chills... Those put us somewhere around -18. :scared1: They are saying at best we get up to 13 today... Is it October yet?! Heck, I'll even settle for June so it's semi-warm!

Holy cow Terry! I tried to do that one week when I was bored, but I just couldn't keep track of who all was coming on the cruise and who all had canceled. Glad you have become addicted to the DIS like the rest of us. :lmao:

Hope everyone stays warm today!!!

Ok I know that this thread is for the b2b cruise but me I'm only going on the first one is there any people in here that are only going on the first our second part of the cruise? And also who is the one to send me the list of all of us would love to have it. Thanks
Kiki

We are just going on the one that leaves 10/30...with MNSSHP prior to that.

LOL Yes, it took me about 4 days to go through the entire thread. I worked at first just writing down the names (username and if given, real names), and stayed with the postings until I got to page 100. Then I quit for the night, then started again until I got to page 150. I started an excel sheet about then. :surfweb:

When the people came on the site and said they were not going our cruise, for whatever reason, I would delete them. There are a couple people who continue to visit us who aren't going with us, but I made a note of who these individuals are, so it's all good.

After page 150, I went to about page 168. Why I stopped there, I don't know, except maybe because I started to read Jon's trip report and that took me the rest of that night and the next morning to read in its entirety. Before you think I stayed up all night to read it, I didn't. LOL But it definitely was entertaining and I wanted to read more, that's for sure. popcorn::

Along the way, I would make note of special pages and posts that were of great interest. For example, p104 post 1552 shows a picture of the fish extender and gifts. Page 113, post 1689 has pics of someone's digital scrapbooking. I also made notations of the pages that had pics of various cruise pics like the deck, pools, lobby, etc. Many pics can be found on pages 62-73.:cutie:

Back to the story of how I went through the threads: Then yesterday after all that snow, I got to working on the driveway with the snow-blower and clearing the snow off the cars. Later I would go out and clear the driveway of the residual snow so that the driveway would be clear and I wouldn't fret about the possibility of black ice. :scared1:

You see, I watch my new grandson Drew and I didn't want my daughter to have any mishap getting herself and the little man out of the car. Plus this weekend, Angela and Ahlam (pronounced ah lan) are coming over to do more scrapping...we're all working on our last cruise. We (Angela and I) did the Halloween Magic cruise in '09, Ahlam did the same cruise this past Halloween '10. :dance3:

In between the driveway project, I finished reading the posts. To be honest, I didn't READ all the earlier posts as it was mostly chit-chat kind of dialogue. I did skim most of the later posts, from about summer of last year to present. :woohoo:

I originally set out to see how many folks would be interested in doing the FE both for the children and adults, because I like to have a good idea/plan of how much I will need spend...on either making items, ordering from the internet, or puchasing the items. Since I'm also interested in doing something with the scrapbooking stickers or page thing, I just thought the best way to tackle this would be to GO through the posts. :yay:

We are just going on the one that leaves 10/30...with MNSSHP prior to that.

So how does the MNSSHP work? Is it in the park? Or what? I figure it is in Orlando? Please do tell because I have a pin code for a resort for days before or cruise and would love to get that in.

Thank, Kiki
