I almost past over this thread....not much chatting going on. Doesn't look like a Nana thread.

Thought I'd jump online and see what was going on while we're waiting to board our flight to Budapest this morning.

We had dinner last night in the Eiffel 58 restaurant inside the Eiffel tower....very nice! The midnight mass at Notre Dame cathedral was impressive.

Paris has snow so that really added to the Christmas eve experience for us.

Hi everyone,
Morgan, I am so glad you told your MIL about the cruise now. Now you wont have to keep it a secret. Thats so hard to not say aything.

Its cold and rainy here. It took forever to warm this place up after leaving the furnace turned down while we were gone al night.

Between saturday and today we got to see all our kids and grandkids.

I took a few pictures of all of them but especialy the newest grandaughter. I saw her at 5 days old and then I hadnt seen her until today. She will be one is just a few days. So she had changed a ton.

Of course she was afraid of us since she didnt know us but by the time they left she let me hold her so that was awesome!!!

In a bit we will put on some movies we got for Christmas and relax the rest of the night.

Back tomorrow to see who is back and who isnt.

Well Christmas is over, the weather is still yucky and I just took it easy today.
I cant believe I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Kathy, I cant believe that your grandaughter will be one shortly....I want to see pictures of her...

Got a new camera for christmas....the one I had we had bought when we went on the 2006 cruise, it works fine and I like it but its on the larger side, I wanted something small that I could fit in my purse when I travell to Colorado..the other one is kinda of a pain to travel with...so I am happy about that.
Had a great Christmas, and Christmas eve....and looking forward to new years.

Just moved our dummy 2011 date for the Dream to the 4 day cruise. Had to pin down DM on when she could cruise, as this is "her" trip. I would love to do the B2B, but we will see.

Most important thing I can tell you is to PM woogal (shell) some information so she can add you to our cruise mates list. We do a list every cruise (many of us have cruised together before) and it helps us to get aquainted and it will be filled with information as the cruise gets closer like who is participating in the FE exchange and a meet once on board etc...

The basic info we all send are the following types of things.
City and state your from
first names of everyone in your group
ages of kids, if kids are coming so they can find others their age.
photo of your group
cabin number
e-mail address
dining time
how many cruises you've been on
Do you want to do the FE exchange

Send what you like. This list is e-mailed only to those on the list and Shell will update it from time to time and resend it too.

Ok, now even more important is I am Kathy: I tease a lot. So if my posts seem a bit weird at times, well they are.
I think we were book on a TA cruise with you for last September but we had to cancel. I think I remember your posting name? Was that you??

I am here everyday even when others arnt. DH is Greg, but not the Greg who posts here. If my Dh posts is posting name is The Hammer.
No kids coming with us this time, they are grown.
This will be #21 DCL cruise for us and one Carnival cruise.

We are excited to see the new ship. Hope you will post often so we can get squianted. I think after the holidays people will post more,its kinda slow here for now although we have a large group here.

Heather is stuck in New Jersey...went there for Christmas with her Fiance and his side of the family for Christmas and was supposed to head back to Colorado today, but that isnt happening....so not sure when she will fly back.

We booked a couple weeks ago--family trip--taking our granddaughter (almost 3), her parents and uncle. Gave them print outs of the reservation for Christmas. They knew about it earlier though so all could arrange vacation time.

Using my I-phone, I looked for a thread on our 10 hour drive home yesterday but only skimmed the beginning. I was not sure what to make of the Nana references and teasing ( I am very literal so it is notW funny to me) so intended only to lurk but PJ brought me out today.

I usually chat on the DIS but DH likes to be alone-together or with our kids and so we don't get onto meets, photos or FE's

Morning everyone,

I will explain the nanahead reference for you. Thats short for Bananaheads which is the group name we came up with on a previous cruise. The majority of the people on this thread went on that cruise together. So we refer to ourselves as Bananaheads or a short version of Bananaheads.
If you notice many people have on their posts, thats why.
Its all in good fun.

Denise sorry to hear That Heather is stranded with all the bad weather. Hope she has a good place to stay. I heard about people stranded on a subway early today for over 6 hours and still stranded. No heat, bathrooms dont work and no food. No idea when they can get to them to get them out. So that storm is really bad.

Makes my cold and rain not seem so bad.


PJ so glad my old brain wasnt going crazy and it was you on the TA cruise. There were so many on that thread it was hard to keep up.

Well I am off to clean out my old silverware, wash out the trays it was in and then wash the new silverware and get it put away. I have alot fo straightening up to do here today. I also feel like my cold is returning so I need to not over due too.

Denise try not to work too hard, just remember all that hard work is paying for this cruise!!

Thanks for the NANA explanation. All I could figure was Nana as in Grandma or a take off on Nags Head, North Carolina--as in maybe you all were from there. Nice that you all had a good time together before and are getting to see each other again!

Glad I coudl explain things.
The reason we had that name was because Mutt (who posted above your post) kept posting all kinds of cute banana icons on his posts,s o eventually we all began finding them and posting them, so we became the Bananaheads.

As soon as we became bananaheads he stopped posting bananas and posted Monkey's But the name stuck. Many of us have cruised together 2 or 3 times since then.

Looking forward to meeting you and even though you said you dont post much I hope you will pop in often to say hello.
We are not all as crazy as we seem.

Hi mom! Im surprised you'd think that I would ever "dis" you! Tease, poke fun at or cause you grief, yes.... But never disrespect you.
I got one computer up and running and one is still at the repair shop. Hopefully we'll be a lil tech family again soon.

I guess it's time to share a few pics so grandma can see how her grand dogs are. I just hope they upload. I've been having trouble lately.
Let me go see if I can make it work.
