Kathy

It's CIVIL WAR!!

One more game!

WOOHOO!!

I had to laugh when they had a close up of Mark slapping his team mate on the butt! LMAO!!

I told Greg, Hey that was MARK :lmao:
But he missed it. That cold medicine really make shim loopy. LOL!

I hate missing the Civil war but I will be in Florida. May have to get on Peters computer to see whats happening. we will buy internet for 3 or 4 days while we are gone.

Good night all,
I feel like I am finally getting the cold the guys have. :guilty:

Morning Nana Heads!!!

Jeff, I hope you have an awesome trip!!!

Kathy, I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving! The pumpkin rolls turned out great! I took 2 rolls that I made and my aunt took 2 that she bought, well, she ended up taking 2 whole rolls home, I took 2 and a half pieces!

Denise, I'm glad you warmed up finally!

Greg, I hope your team wins in the Civil War. That just sounds so funny to say.

Not doing much today. DS has a crick in his neck, first one ever, and so he thinks he's dying, typical man... :lmao: The tree is up, nativity set out, the rugs out, so my decorating is done!:santa: We watched Pirates of the Caribbean last night, kids watched it for the first time and now they are begging to watch the 2nd one! I think we just might this morning as it's better than some of the cartoons that they have seen a million times. :happytv:

Hope everyone has a great day today!:goodvibes

Hi everyone,

Well it is official. I have the rotton, nasty cold both the guys have.
Wednesday is vacation so I am not happy about this. Never tried Zicam but may do it this time, guess it couldnt hurt even if it doesnt work.:confused3

Morgan the Civil War game is the most important game of the year here.:thumbsup2
Our 2 big colleges are only 10 minutes drive apart but in different towns. The Ducks and Beavers so at the end of the season they always play each other. So the towns are divided on this event. One town will be celebrating the other not so much at the end. All the Sports bars make a fortune and thousands of residents kinda go crazy that day. All in good fun, well most of the time.:rolleyes1

Its still pouring rain here. But at least we have warmed up a lot, mid 40's are nice after all the below freezing weather.

Have a great day everyone,
I will check back this afternoon,

Hey Greg can you still walk upright after 2 Thanksgiving dinners:rotfl2:

Kathy

Kathy

Sorry to hear your sick. Hopefully you'll be able to kick it before you leave for Florida.

I didn't over eat at either of our Thanksgiving dinners so I'm feeling pretty good. :woohoo:

Kathy, I hope the zicam works for you!!! I hope you start feeling better soon! We have the "Oaken Bucket" game here, Purdue vs Indiana. My FaceBook friend feed today cracked me up as I had 200 people rooting for Purdue and 2 people rooting for Indiana. :lmao: I just don't care for football....:rolleyes1 (Sorry Greg and Kathy!)

Kids are sick again today, put vicks on their feet and chests and sent them to bed, not a single cough! They've been coughing all day. The vicks on the feet thing really honestly works.:thumbsup2 We didn't really leave the house much today though, it was literally freezing outside, so we decided today was a great movie day. I made chicken and noodles for supper in hopes that it would make everyone feel better.

Jeff, hope you are enjoying your time at Disney and have a great cruise! Hopefully the weather will play nicely for you guys! :)

Hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Feeling a bit better this afternoon.

I didnt get the Zicam but did get a Tylenol cold med and boy it really knocked me out but I felt so much better afterwards and I only took half the dosage. It helped both the guys feel better too. I dont know whats in it but it really works good at least for this cold.

I did get a few things done around here. Not doing much though, I want to get rid of the cold completely before wednesday which means lots of rest.
Guys will go to Dennys again tonight for dinner. We have buy one entree get half off the 2nd which is great.

Morgan sorry to hear the kids are ill, I use vicks a lot to breath in to clear out the sinuses. When we were kids that was what everyone used. We didnt have 300 choices on the drug ilses like today :lmao:

I am NOT into most football, just local stuff. My guys like to watch the SeaHawks and Bears too.

Well off to write down my NOT TO FORGET list for packing.

catch everyone later,

Kathy

Kathy you better rest the next couple of days.....hate to go to disney sick....

I'm so happy to be sailing Oct 30th on the Dream! We got room 9166, first time with a veranda, actually first time with even an outside room. Going with DH, DD (24) and daughters BF. We have first seating w 9pm show. Is Remy really $75@ OUCH! We have sailed Disney 4 times before, one being a member cruise in '06, that was our last Disney cruise so really looking forward to this one. Looks like a beautiful ship. Anyone interested in sharing a bus or limo from Orlando Airport am of the 30th or anyone have any ideas to make the trip to Port Canaveral and back to BCV more affordable?

I've heard of Vick's on the chest, but never heard of it on the feet? I'll have to try it the next time one of us gets sick.

Looks like I knocked Bobby off the top. :-)

WELCOME ABOARD !!!

My name is Kathy and DH is Greg. Not the Greg that posts here though:rolleyes1 Although I pick on him as if he were family.

We will do the cruise line bus from WDW to the port or I would take you up on your offer of spliting the cost. We like to do a few days at the parks before a cruise.

This will be #21 DCL cruise for us #22 over all, we did try Carnival once.:guilty:

Many of us here have cruised together one to 3 times before and call ourselves the Bananaheads. Now that your booked you too area Bananahead.

Which basically means your with a bunch of crazy but friendly people who love Disney cruising and we all tease each other alot. ;)So if a post looks like an insult to someone, its not. So please dont run away afraid to post here.
It's all in fun with old friends. We can seem a bit carried away at times :rolleyes1

I hope you will post often so we can all get aquainted.:goodvibes
Right now we have some gone on vacation and a couple of us are leaving soon for vacations so it's a little slow here some days. It will be great to have another poster to keep us lively here.

Back soon,

kathy

Welcome :banana::banana::banana::banana:

Sorry, we are staying in WDW a few days before and will have a rental car. We'll be using DCL transportation to get back to the port. I know they are more money but they were great when we have used them.

I never had either! My grandma sent me an email about it and my MIL sent me another one 2 days later about it saying it had been on the news, so I tried it. I don't know why it works, but it kept the kids from coughing when they were trying to sleep.:confused3 Put vicks on your feet and then put socks on... I will see if I can find that email from my grandma for you. :goodvibes

Welcome IleneF and family!!! :cheer2::banana::cheer2::banana:

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I'm off to go back to my coma in the chair and join my kids in their coma on the couch. (I really hate it when EVERYONE is sick in the house.)

Welcome Ilene and family....

my name is Denise and traveling with Wally....this will be Disney cruise #3 for me and #2 for Wally.....We have a veranda and I have to say, once you have a veranda you never want to go back....you will love it.
Like Kathy said, we have traveled together before and we can get a bit carried way with picking on each other, but jump right in....we love new nanaheads..:thumbsup2....

Hello everyone.....just popping in to say hello....nothing really going on here...its been raining the majority of the day here....but I will take that over snow anytimie.

later all

Thanks for the nice welcome here everyone! It will take me a little while to get aquainted with everyone. We are very excited to have the cruise booked.
Unfortunately we had an unexpected very large expense this week, one of my dogs (we have two schnoodles) took ill and had to be hospitalized and have emergency surgery :-( I refused to let that keep me from booking. This is a long awaited trip for my DD. Last one she was 17 and couldn't have fun in the "adult"area of the ship, specifically she just wanted to swim in the adult pool but wasn't allowed too. So we are back so she can experience the adult portion of Disney cruising, LOL. Neither of us like Nassau (we probably won't even disembark) but we just LOVE Castaway Cay :-) How do I find out what level CC member I am?

Ilene

ok, not to be a bummer, but must vent for a few...

This is officially the worst day ever. Kids are both sick, I'm sick, going to have to call DD in to school, AGAIN tomorrow and take her to the doctor, and DS won't go to sleep, and now my throat is killing me, on nyquil, and just sitting here in the chair playing on facebook, my ONLY pair of glasses broke. And, to top it all off, they are broke so bad I can't use them, and I can't see without them, and DH is working all night, and DS is STILL awake, with no hope of him going to bed soon, and it's 10p... today sucks.

vent over. sorry everyone.

Oh, that's miserable!

My sister just called me this afternoon to vent also. She has 5 kids....all of them under 9 years old and two of them are twin girls that were born in June this year. Her kids along with her husband all got sick while they were at her in laws for Thanksgiving.

She had to drive the family back home (6 hours) to Wyoming with all of them throwing up and diarrhea.....she was not in the best mood when they finally got home. :sad2:

I think as parents we all go through similar things at one time or another.....good luck. :thumbsup2

Morgan, I know it may not help but I have been in your shoes before, more than once and it will get better. I promise, although you may go crazy waiting for it to get better.;)
Take a deep breath, sit down and try to go to a happy place in your mind.

My worst time was all 4 kids got chicken pox at the same time in August, near 100 degrees while we were in a travel trailer with NO AC, One was a 9 month old then a almost 3 year old, them 5 and then 6. The older ones had it so bad they couldnt walk or swallow to eat. It was even in their eyes and mouths. I had to carry them to the bathroom and spoon feed them broth.

No tube to soak in either. It was horrible. Worst 2 weeks of my life I was exhausted. One would sleep then the other one would be up and it went on and on and on. Greg had to work during the day so it was up to me the majority of the time.

So I know how you feel. :headache: But it will pass. Tomorrow will be better.
