Glad you doing good. We would love to see you.

Every other weekend we are in the Salem area which is only an hour from Portland so let me know when you come out, perhaps we can arrange a meet. .

We leave the dogs at a sitter in Salem and visit my mom every other weekend and then December 1st we are taking vacation for 2 weeks to Florida.
We only stay an hour with mom, thats all visiting she is up to now, so we do have plenty of free time the rest of the weekend. It would be great if your were coming one of those weekends.

We are around a 3 hour drive on the freeway from Portland where we live.
We are out in the country, although we may be moving into the Silverton area soon which is next to Salem so that would put us close anytime.

Bring your long johns when you come, its getting COLD here!!! BRRR!!!

Not much going on here. I think the hot weather is finally behind us...it's only going to be 87 today, but it's been in the 60s on the morning

Well today I hit the one month mark till my cruise on the Oasis. It's amazing how you plan and plan but you still don't feel ready when it gets here. I am also just about about 3 months away from my 2-day Disney cruise. The actually have Palo open for the two days. My 90 day mark is next Saturday, I am hoping to get Brunch and Dinner at Palo but we'll see. With only 2 days, I don't know what will be left since I am still only a silver.

You should be able to get Palos at least once. I think many who are on the 2 day cruise may be people from the west coast who havnt cruised Disney as much as you. Maybe not at all because they dont want to go cross country.

So you will have a jump on them being a repeat crusier.

After the repositioning cruise to LA, Disney had 2 days between the next 7 day so they decided to do a 2 day cruise to nowhere. It was dirt cheap (cheaper than 2 days at DL) and it counts as a full cruise towards Gold (which I will be after this one). It's only a 4 hour drive from our house so we just couldn't say no. What I am really scared about is that we will now have a Disney ship that close to us all the time, way to tempting.

How many cruises do you have to do to be considered silver and gold? Planning for one is almost overwhelming, I can't imagine becoming a casual cruiser. Maybe that's the result of living in a landlocked state!

Had a productive day today. My younger daughter wants to be Jessie from Toy Story for Halloween and I finally finished her shirt. I'm working on the chaps and then she'll be mostly set, except for a red wig.

Older DD is going to be Alice in Wonderland, so I get to make that dress next.

We're still enjoying gorgeous weather here. Can't believe we;ve been in the 70s and 80s in October. Hope you are all enjoying your week. Happy Hump Day.

Been dreading getting all my kids their passports. The cost isn't even causing the dread. All my kids are adopted, and I have to send in their original adoption papers along with their birth certificates. It's scary to me to send in all the original paprework I have to prove they are mine. From a pp, at least the wait to get everything back isn't to long.
Had a great day at the apple orchard with my daughter and her pre school class! Mid 60's and sunny! Picked some apples, had cider and doughnuts, and went to the petting farm.

Good Morning fellow Nana heads!

Busy morning here this morning. AND COLD!!! Got woke up this morning at 5:30am to DH slamming and banging around the bedroom... He was late to work, his first day back from his vacation. OOPS! He was supposed to be on nights today though, so I'm not sure how he got switched to days without anyone calling or telling him...

Got DD up and through the shower for school pictures today. Went outside to wait on my gf and her daughter that live a block away and saw 2 boys outside smoking. They go to school every day and leave every day, cut through the houses (a big no no that has had the school and the police out here on many occasions) and go sit on the old church steps. Normally I don't pay attention to them, but today they were just being weird and so I watched them for a little bit, sure enough they started smoking! I called the school and warned them about the smoking. Well, my gf and her daughter were running late today, and as my gf gets here, she hears me telling the school and as I hang up, she tells me they were sitting at the church smoking pot!!! I called the school again and told them what was going on. DH tells me I'm too nosy, but I don't need teeny boppers walking through my yard or my neighbors' yards to go smoke pot. I also don't need them offering it to my kids later down the road. I think I made the right choice though, nosy or not.

Anyway, just had to share that one! Now off to do the dishes and the laundry! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!!!

Morning all,

Morgan I know how you feel. Its next to impossible to keep the older kids away from the younger ones. You just need to remind your kids Not to smoke pot and they will be ok. Temptation is out there everywhere now.
I am so grateful my kids are grown but now I worry about grandkids!!


Getting colder here, all our lows for the next few days is in the 30's!!! Highs in the upper 50's most days. It changed over night. Yesterday we hit 84, today we will be lucky to hit 55. Extreme fog too.

Today I will pull out the heavy blanket and get it washed. I hate it when the season changes to cold and stays for months.

Nothing much happening here today.
