Hi Ana,

Hope your dog will be ok too. Arthritis is really common and they do have meds to help with it. Minnie is only 5 but she gets it in her hips and back legs sometimes in the winter. She has had problems since she was 1 year old with it.
So I am sure if thats your dogs problem they will be able to help him. Please let us know what the vet says.

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Yes i head arthritis is common... specially in big dogs... I will let you know what the vet says. He used to have that when he played too hard the whole day and then the next day he would limp from his front paw. But it would go away in a couple of days. This one is lasting longer so we will probably have to have it x-rayed.... :sad2: Hopefully it's nothing bad. I will let you know!

OMG Kathy!!! It was AMAZING!!!:cloud9: The weather was the most beautiful we have had in probably about 10 years! It was cold, but that new camper we had and the new heater kept us nice and toasty all week long. :thumbsup2 Set up (what I am in charge of) went off without a hitch and we were finished with my part of it on Saturday night and Sunday just had to raise the roofs into the air, and we pay a college group to come out and raise them, so we had nothing really to do but "put out fires" on Sunday. It was so wonderful! :woohoo: It was more than I could have asked for. The only major issues we had were being under a county wide fire ban (we had an exemption for the Feast) and we had some "heavy dew" :rotfl: falling on Saturday morning, but it didn't seem to stop the crowds from coming! (We don't say the "r" word around Feast time at our house. :lmao:)

All in all, it couldn't have been a more perfect weekend for the most part. :goodvibes If you wanna know about more, just lemme know. I don't wanna bore anyone.

On a slightly sadder note, we came home to find our cat deathly ill late Sunday night and he passed today. :sad1: DD took it rather hard, but I think she is starting to accept it...

Ahhh camping.....we used to go camping quite a bit, but then the mosquitoes in Idaho started carrying West Nile Virus and it just became to much of a risk for us to go. :sad1:

Sorry to hear about your cat.

Hi Greg,

I didnt know they could get hives either but apparently for skiddish or more nervous breeds it is quite common.

After the Docs arrive the excitement always picks up!!! I am excited for you guys too, cant wait to see the camel rides and doing the walk like an egyptian dance.

You have to share those photos and video!!!!
Kathy

Yeah, I wouldn't dream of depriving you of getting a good laugh...at my expense! :rotfl2:

The camel ride has me a bit nervous. A horse would be no problem, but a camel is much taller then a normal horse. I guess it might be like riding a very ugly Clydesdale?

Morning all,

Extremely foggy this morning. Hope it clears some before Greg leaves for work. Rain coming for the weekend.:guilty:
Nothing exciting around here this morning.

Will check back later to see whose dropping by today,

Kathy

Still nobody around???:confused3

I see how it is!!!:rolleyes1

Even Greg is missing. Where are my insults today???
Kathy

I'm here, just feeling a bit under the weather. I started getting a slight cough yesterday and today I'm chilled and running a fever.

We've had quite the weather today....rain with thunder and lightening. Our little dog Max doesn't like thunder so he's been hiding under the bed all day.

Have a good night.

Hi Ana,
We just celebrated our Beagle's 10th birthday. I know she is a lot smaller than a Rottweiler, but she has had joint issues for a couple of years as well. It comes and goes. We have her on Rimadyl and it keeps it under control. She is quite perky and playful for 10. Hope your baby is feeling better.

We had gorgeous weather here in MN today. Almost 80 and sunny. Almost makes up for the Twins losing to the Yankees two nights in a row...again.

I am in a planning mode right now and enjoying setting itineraries for our park days and choosing restaurants. DH plays along and lets me babble, but he knows that I will change my mind 100 times before we leave, so he never actually voices an opinion. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is enjoying their fall. I will continue to check in.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,
nice to see you back again so soon. I love beagles!!! My son use to have one, she was sooooo cute!!

Greg,
sorry to hear your . Hope its just a simple cold and you will be over it soon,

Kathy

Wow, did not realize it had been so long for me to have post! Everything is good for me.

Talking about dogs, my dog thinks she is god or godess in her case. She is a lhasa apso poodle mix. she will be 12 in june of 2011. she is my baby!!!

Hi Kathy and all:
Hope you are having a great Friday. Kathy, we are starting to try to figure out what to do for FE gifts for this November cruise. We have a couple of ideas but no time to get it done. Maybe we'll put together a real plan this weekend and get the kids to work!

Have a great weekend! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Morning all,
Jeff i know it can be tricky to figure out what to give. I love making things but it does take alot of time. My last cruise i made Disney themed coasters. It took me 2 months, maybe a bit longer to get them done. I had to add many thin layers of selant once I made them and if the weather wasnt just right (had to do outside) it would ruin those and i would have to start over again. I did 6 at a time. I needed 55 of them.
But it was fun. Never again but it was fun.:lmao:

Just remember to save the best gifts ideas for this cruise ;)

Stephieann,
I know how you feel. My dogs are my babies too. I treat them like kids, not dogs most of the time. When we got the first one I went out and bought a dog bed, toys, food, treat, blanket etc.. Greg came home and got a scare !! He thought i was setting up a nursery :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kathy

Good morning nanaheads,

Greg i hope your feeling better today :thumbsup2
Hey our local Eugene station just announced they are going to cover the game live!:woohoo: But I wont be anywhere that carries a Eugene station on saturday :sad2: So I will just have to wait and watch the news that night.

It is cool and cloudy today but suppose to be one more nice day before the rain comes for the weekend.
I wont be posting tomorrow or sunday until late evening.
So you guys need to keep us off page 2!!

I am going to Salem to visit mymom, and do a few errands while the pups spent the night at the dog sitter again. Then spent the night with Gregs mom for a visit and back home sunday afternoon.

I will check back later today to see whats cooking around here today.
We havnt heard from Denise for a few days, hope she is surviving all the playing with Izzy. I'm sure she is having a blast.

Later,
Kathy

Lunch time and still no posts today.
People must be working to pay for this cruise!!

The sun has come out but not for long. Rain has already started north of us,so it will soon be here. :guilty:

All done with the laundry and ready to relax the rest of the day, if the pups will let me.:goodvibes

Back this evening to see who if anyone has been around today,

Kathy

Sorry Kathy!

I'm here, just trying to clean the dust and little mud and smoke out of all the stuff we took to the Feast... Also trying to write my wrap up report and my nominations for Medallions, and on top of all that, trying to clean the house and get ready for DH's surprise 30th birthday party this Sunday, the Memory Walk for Alzheimer's on Sunday afternoon and DS's birthday party Saturday... I'm really wishing life would just slow down a little so I could breathe!

Weather is nice here, chilly in the mornings and warming up to almost 80 today :scared1: and going to hit and pass 80 this weekend. Still in a Burn Ban since we haven't had measurable rain in months... Getting really tired of the hot, dry, brown, ugly around here!

Found out today we will be flying down for the cruise though! I am so excited!!! We aren't telling the kids about that part until we get to the airport. They have never flown before so they will be on cloud 9. :cloud9: Also found out that the school here in town is doing a passport workshop Tuesday night, so we are taking the kids and getting their passports from the school so I can check that off the list! I was going to have to take DD out of school a day so we could go get them done. Still working on getting DH to say yes to MNSSHP since we probably won't be back down there around that time again for a very long time... Hoping MIL will help out with that fight after Christmas when we tell her.

As for me, I need to get off here, finish my babysitting duties for the day, start on supper, swap laundry, do dishes, clean and dust, and finish up my report and nominations...

Oh, one more thing, Thanks to everyone for the sympathies with Cicero, he was only 4, but we had him since he was 6 months old. He will be missed...

We went to an Oktoberfest celebration in Minneapolis tonight. It made me think about Biergarten. We had a great time doing the chicken dance and polka-ing all evening. The other couple we went with loves WDW too, so we were comparing trip stories. My friend even told me she took a Disney Cruise with her family when she was in college. She loved it and got me even more excited.

Hope everyone is set to enjoy their weekend.

TTFN,
Sarah

Got the first coat of paint on the girls room:yay: Looking good, may not need a second coat. Can'y wait to get the princess boarder up, it will make the room look great. Got the headboards on order, so now I just need to get thew bedding, and hang the curtains. Then on to the boys room:eek: They have colored on the ceiling(thank you bunk beds) so time to repaint.
Beautiful fall weekend in store for us this weekend. Hope to spend so time outside enjoying the weather.
Thinking of making another trip to Haiti late November. I volunteer, this will be my third trip down. Hope to see some progress.

Spent the first part of the morning at my DD4's soccer game. She got smashed in the face with a ball; great drama ensued. I really hate soccer!

Now DD8 is at tennis and I am about to make gingerbread for a party tonight. Ah, Fall.
