Good morning NanaHeads!!!

Well we are approaching the 1 yr mark! I can not believe it! I actually had a dream that i was on a Disney cruise! We wound up having to set sail late due to weather...and of course as always i forgot my photo ID. They let me get on the ship at port Canaveral but said i could not get off at any ports :(. I guess this is a bigger incentive to make sure i have all my documents when i do finally set sail!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

I think we all have those kinds of dreams right before the cruise;)

Cool here today and it might even rain a bit today and then real rain the next 3 days :guilty:

Greg,
Both Ducks and Beavers won !!!:cheer2::cheer2:

Kathy

My dream is always the same...it's the day of the cruise and I forgot all about it:scared1:. I haven't even packed and have to make it to the port in a few hours.

Gee Christine, thats not a dream......thats a nitemare!!!:scared1: Maybe you should start packing now!!

Crazy weekend here.....Heather leaves in the morning.....she is feeling so down right now....
Had a dinner for her...my son and his girlfriend came over.....I dont mind having these dinners, but I hate cleaning up the mess.

Well going to get ready for work tomorrow. I have to figure out a schedule with getting Izzy to daycare and all.....this is going to be a lot of work....but she is sooooo worth it.

have a good one

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

This time last year i was getting ready to go to WDW. Can not believe it has been a year already. Just sad i could not do a Disney vacation this year!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. My was good! Mississippi state won!

Slow progress on the girls princess room. Got the the closet all done, and everything put back in. I had a boarder up, and when I took it down, the glue would.not.come.off!! I finally had to take my sander and sand it down. I'm going to paint over it, and if it still looks bad, I'm gonna put up another one in the same place. I did want to put it up in a different palce, but we will see.
Had a rainy Sat., and today was pretty chilly. I guess its time to put the summer clothes away and get out the winter ones. BOO!

the weather here was partly sunny and cool. We are under a frost advisory for tonight, brrrrrr......says low of 34 for tonight and tomorrow night!

Happy monday everyone,

Greg did you have a good camping trip or did you do something different?

They changed our forcast again, now NO rain and around 70 all week.:goodvibes Of course they also say fall will soon be here so dotn get too use to it

It is chilly this morning. Had to turn on the furnace today. Wont leave it on for long but for a bit to get the chill out of the air. I even had to put on long sleeves and jeans. I think i can pack the shorts away for the season now.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

Kathy

Morning everyone

It has finally cooled down here:banana::banana: going to be in the 80s today. We should get about 2 weeks of perfect weather before it starts getting cold...well Vegas cold anyway.

I am missing WDW too this year. I actually thought maybe we could squeeze in a few days right before our Oasis cruise but it's not going to work out. Maybe we will be able to go to DL in December and see all the Christmas decorations, haven't been there for Christmas in a long time.

Hi Kathy.

We had a great time this weekend. We did end up staying at the cabin and then we drove up into Yellowstone yesterday. We didn't see as much wildlife as we normally do, but we did have a buffalo walk passed our vehicle on the road.

We drove up to Mammoth Hot Springs and soaked in the Garner river where the hot water dumps in. The water was much hotter then I remembered it. We had to stay further out in the river where it would mix with colder water so it wouldn't burn you!

All in all we had a great weekend. The kids had fun playing on the paddle boats at the cabin and it was perfect weather. :thumbsup2

Nice pictures Greg. That looks like quite some cabin. To me a cabin has one room and a loft for sleeping and if your lucky indoor plumbing :lmao:

Guess Oregon cabins are more rustic :rolleyes1

Glad everyone had a good time. Now your all ready for the snow to come, right?? You can have my share of snow too.:goodvibes
No, no thats ok, I am just a generous person. No reason to thank me.

They have been saying our winter will be colder and more icy and snowy than normal this year. Its not that I believe in the weather mans predictions to much but about every 4 years we have an extra bad winter so this is about right for a worse one. :flower3:

Kathy

Good Morning everyone!

Greg your pictures are just so beautiful! Thank you for sharing! That is such a nice cabin! Very cozy! Going to Yellowstone is also on my bucket list :)

Christine, i'm so excited to see the Christmas lights at WDW this december. I'm sure being in Vegas it won't be that difficult for you to go to DL right? I think CHristmas is the best time to go to Disney, everything is so beautiful. This year we will try to see the Osborne Family christmas light for the first time! I am so excited!!

Kathy, i heard that too from our weather guys - this winter is supposed to be one of the chilliest we've had in years... and a lot of snow is expected... I love snow but since i live in the foothills it's never fun trying to drive. I have to skip work because i am snowed in. I am so scared of driving in the snow that if my husband can't take me to work then i have to wait for the snow to go down or a plow to come by! But still, snow is fun! My dog Cisco loves the snow... he loves to catch snowballs in the air and dig his nose in the snow! :) so cute! I will post a pic of that!

Anyway, i hope everyone is doing well!!!

Cheers!

Awesome pics Greg:thumbsup2

DL is only about 4 hours away from us, so it's nice and easy to get to. However, it is very expensive. We really like staying in the DL hotel but they have gotten out of hand with their pricing. We'll see if they have any specials. We are going on the Disney Wonder for a 2 night cruise in January so if we don't get to DL in Dec we will at least get out Disney fix in January.

I used to think that Christmas was the best time to go to WDW but after being there for Halloween and the Food and Wine Festival, it's a toss up. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did and that was with record high heat and humidity in Oct.

Happy tuesday nanaheads,

Greg i just heard that the game this weekend wont be televised :sad1:
I guess in order to be on TV it must play at 12 or 12:30 and it's scheduled for 2:30 and Washington wont change the time, all is set already.GRR!!!

I know it would be hard to change everything this close but its a shame they didnt know all of this sooner so they could have things set up earlier.Saw your BIL on the news interview last night;)

42 this morning. But still suppose to be a nice day today. Hope they are right.

Need to keep an eye on Pixie today. She got up with one side having about 20 spots where the hair is standing up. I thought maybe flea bites and she had an allergic reaction?? I cant see any bites or bumps there, its really weird. She does have flea meds on her to kill off the fleas. Not sure if thats what it is.

Gotta run,

Kathy

Hi Kathy.

Yeah, my schedule didn't show it airing on tv this time either. I did read the following on the Ducks website. Looks like we should be able to catch the replay later on?

Saturday’s Oregon-Washington State football game will be televised on a delayed basis on Comcast SportsNet Northwest beginning at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 9, according to an announcement by the university’s athletics department, IMG College and Comcast SportsNet.

The game, which kicks off at 2 p.m. in Pullman, is prohibited from being televised live at that time due to provisions in the Pacific-10 Conference’s television contract that protects exclusive television windows for the league’s television partners, ABC/ESPN and Fox Sports Net.

The coverage will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday with the pre-game show produced by the Oregon Sports Network.

The replay of the game between the Ducks and the Cougars also will be aired again at 11 p.m. Saturday.

Hey folks.... just popping in to say hi. The mean lady with the whip threatened me.....(who knew that her range of influence went beyond these boards?) Damn,.....

I guess we're getting down the one year mark and will probably start getting excited over reports of the new ship now that its less than a month from being on the water....(I know the real reports wont come til January but hopefully we'll get some new stuff from DCL.

Anyways....I hope this finds everyone well and I hope I averted a whippin....

Mutt....

Hi nanaheads! It's been a while. We weren't sure for a while we were actually going to be able to cruise and it was too hard to think about. Now we are go again and I am getting into planning mode.

Can I ask the veteran cruisers a few questions?

1. Are the kids programs an extra cost, or are they included?
2. Do you eat breakfast on board the morning you disembark?
3. Is it worth it to do an excursion in Nassau, or as a first-timer are we better off just enjoying the ship's facilities?

Glad to be checking in. Only 390 days to go!
