We are just about to walk out the door but thought I would stop by and say hi . We are going to CA for a wedding. We are staying in Santa Ana, about 10 min from DL but aren't going . There is a huge mall right by the hotel so we'll go there tonight for dinner oh and of course we will be having lunch at Chick-fil-a. Tomorrow the wedding is in Laguna in a park over looking the ocean and then the reception is in a private house they rented. I am sure we'll be stopping at Chick-fil-a a few more times over the weekend. I'll be posting pictures on FB along the way.

Who has plans for the weekend?

No fun plans here. Going to clean out my cupboards and rearrange things to make more room for more stuff I dont need. LOL!!
I also need just a few groceries.
Our weather is suppose to clear up some, so that will be nice. We have had the wettest spring on record. No wonder I sprouted webs between my toes.

It is still raining today, so I sure hope they are right about the good weather coming later today.

I best get busy doing nothing this morning,
I will check back alter to read all the fun plans you all have for the weekend.

I remember thoes days.....camping with a bunch of pre-teens.....it was fun...I kinda miss thoes days....sometimes.....

Just a lot of running tomorrow morning then grad party in the afternoon....sunday not 100% sure...poss visit to my dad's in chicago....and cut the lawn. very exciting life I lead....

Cynthia, have fun.

I use to be a girl scout too. I loved the camp outs.
I have a grandaughter who is a girl scout.
I also have 2 grandkids who are campfire and have earned their highest rank. I cant think of the name of it but its the equivilant of the Eagle Scout for Campfire. Something like Woh He Lo??

No rain today, but lots of clouds here. Rain coming back tomorrow.

Well we finished cleaning out 4 cupboards and one large drawer so far.
Next will be all of Peters stuff sitting in the front of the RV. I will get to that after lunch.

Well my day....got up ran and got a pedi/mani and eyebrows waxed....then got my oil changed in my car....came home and relaxed...then went to grad party.....had a good time seeing all my great nieces and nephews it was fun getting family caught up....now I'm gonna watch a little tv then get up early and head into chicago to visit my dad. such an exciting weekend.....

I thought I'd come see how everyone is doing on the DIS.

Chayce and Brayden tested for their next belt rank in Karate today. They both passed and are feeling very excited.

The sun came out again today, but it looks like rain on the horizon again.

I'm so sick of our weather, I think we may take off and spend a week at our condo in Palm Springs...I need to work on my golf swing.

Hi All,
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I just finished hosting the first of two birthday parties for Sophie (my DDalmost4). We had about a dozen family members over today. I tried my hand at making a Cinderella castle cake. I will try to post a picture.

Tomorrow we are having 10 three and four year olds, plus my two DDs over for another party. This one is Candy Land themed. I am keeping fingers crossed for nice weather so they can play outside.

Cynthia, hope your Girl Scout overnight is going well. I am a scout leader too. We just bridged up to Brownies last month. We have not tackled an overnight yet, but hope to next spring.

lvstitch, can't believe you are going to be so close to DL and don't get to go. I haven't been there in almost 13 years. I am trying to figure out a way to get there soon. I would love to check out CA, plus see all the changes to DLR.

Luckily, I have WDW to satisfy me until then. Only 5 more days until we leave. Yay!

Had an amazing weekend in the OC. The weather was amazing. Here, however not so much, it's 108 right now.

We had a cold drizzly weekend but for the next 2 days we are expecting sun and 70!! YIPPEE!! Then 2 rainy days Then 3 HOT sunny days


This morning my cupboard was invaded by ants. So gotta get some ant poison to get rid of them. All my foods are packaged or put in containers so there is nothing for them to get into but even the slightest crumb will draw them in. Rotton little critters!! Guess they are better than Florida's fire ants though,. They bite and really hurt for days on end.

Well the sun is peaking out so I am going to walk the girls and enjoy it while it lasts. Maybe it will dry out some of the prune effects all the rain has had on me

Just checking in. Had a weekend of outlet shopping and generally hanging out alone with the DH. Time to clean my house from top to bottom now as I have a big block party this weekend.

I survived party number 2 on Sunday. It was fun, though crazy. I had eleven 3 and 4 year olds, plus my DD6 for an hour and a half party. My DH first thought that was too short, but admitted that any longer might have killed him. Wrangling all those kids was a lot like herding cats. Luckily I had three other moms stay to help too and all went smoothly.

Now that the big parties are behind me, all I have to do is pack for WDW. I am feeling ahead of the game. I don't have nearly enough to keep me busy until Friday. I am so excited!

Hope everyone's week is off to a great start.

When my kids were little I loved doing all the parties....really looked forward to it....but the older they got....I decided it was more like work then fun....so I am so happy that my party days are pretty much over..... Altho my daughter is coming for a visit in July and having a family gathering while she is here....about 35 people. So I guess I still have a little party left in me
Ok, I'm jealous that your leaving friday for WDW.....I really want to go, but not this year....have fun.

We are going to WDW this December for 10 days.
But I am still looking for a dog sitter since mine quit.

A good relaible one who will actually care for your dog is hard to find.

Last night the dogs were standing in the edge of the field with Greg and Peter and right between them walked out the neighbors cat Timmy.
That dumb cat isnt afraid of dogs.

Boy my dogs took off after it like lightening. I have NEVER seen Minnie that fast since we got her. Clear across 1/2 the facility here until she finally came to us calling her.
Pixie ran too but stopped short which was odd for her.

Then while she was resting last night we saw her licking her leg really hard. Greg checkedit out and she has a large gash right up to her upper pad on the back of her leg. Looks like it almost went all the way through the pad.

We cleaned it and put meds on it and wrapped it up. No signs of infection. In a day or two if it still hadnt improved we will have to take her to the vet.
It seems one or the other of my dogs has had to go to the vet lately for injuries. I swear my pups are worse than having kids
