Evening all:

Kathy: I hear ya about the dogs....they do cost more than kids....at least the kids are covered under insurance. I have spent sooooo much money on Jack over the years.....its not even funny.....I could probably take a couple of cruises on what I have spent on him.....but I love him and thats ok....
It has been cool and rainy all day here...only 60 out and just rainy and cloudy gray all day....by saturday we will be back in the 90's.

Nothing much going on here....have a good one all

Hey I just read something I didnt know about MK at WDW.

In the hat shop which is beside the candy shop right at the start of main street has an old time phone on the wall. If you pick up the phone and listen you can heat a funny party line conversation between a mother and a daughter.Has anybody here ever done that? Did anybody even know about this?

I guess there is always something new to learn about WDW.

I have been watching the Travel network this morning. 10 best Caribbean resorts.
They were showing St. Thomas a few minutes ago, that reminded me of our cruises too.

Not alot going on today. Most of my time seems to be watching Pixie so she wont pull over her bandages. She is a sneaky litte twirp sometimes.

It poured rain all night and now looks to be clearning off. It was suppsoe to rain today but it came last night, so perhaps we will have a descent day after all.

Well it was a pretty busy day at work today. On wednesday's I have to work the front check in desk all day.....by the end of the day my feet and legs are hurting....but its a nice switch and gets me away from my desk and work for a day....

Its beautiful out today...sunny and warm tomorrow more rain but still 90 on saturday

Nothing else going on here.....just finished dinner and cleaning up that mess...so going to relax and then head to bed.

Morning everyone

woo hoo...it's my Friday. I have to say at first I didn't really like the 4/10s but now I can't imagine having to work 5 days ever again. For an April Fools Joke this year at a meeting they put on the agenda going back to 5 days...everyone was pretty pissed until they realized it was a joke.

Have to start packing up my house this weekend. When they built it they used cheap plumbing so there was a class action suit and now all the houses in my area have to get replumbed which means they will break open my walls and rerun the plumbing through my attic. It should take them about 5 days to complete the job. Thank goodness I don't have to pay for it, it's about a $9,000 job. When they are done they will repaint and clean that's the only reason I agreed to it.

Christine everyone I know who works 4 10 hour days love it.
If I was still working I would love to have 3 days off a week.

Raining again today but tomorrow the sun is still suppose to return. YEAH!!!!

Pixie is still trying to chew off her bandages so I have to keep her right by me all day long. That is a hard job because she wants to lay on our bed in the back. Its her safe place when she gets scared or doesnt feel good and she cant go there now. Because I cant see her back there. She is sneaky so I have to leave the closet door open to block access to the bedroom.

YIKES!!! What a mess that closet was so I had to clean out the closet since the door has to be left open.

Evening all:

Well this has been a very eventful couple of days......so now I have some very good and some not so good news......

I'll start with the bad news first:
I really think that I have to cancel this cruise, I'm going to have to push it out until 2012.....the reason.....(good news) is that my daughter Heather just became engaged last nite and is getting married New Years in Las Vegas...so I started checking into flights....I know its the "holiday" prime time, but geez..these airlines love to gouge you......a ticket for 2 round trip is running around $1,000.00..not even including hotel...so its not a definate yet, but depending on how much this trip and wedding stuff is going to cost I may have to hold off a little on my cruise. But I am very excited about the wedding...Ritch, her fiance' just got home Monday from Korea..he was there a year...left a month after Izzy was born....so Heather told me she dosnt "like" her daddy....every time she see's him, she starts to cry.... Poor Izzy, she will be fine, she just needs to get used to him around the house....its been just her and mommy for a year.
Will keep you all posted on this...

thats awesome for Heather.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you will run across a good deal on airfare and hotel. Vegas should be one of the places needing to run specials to keep the business coming in. I guess New Years is holiday time so would cost more.

Maybe she will change the date to a cheaper time for everyone. Most guests couldnt afford that much to go to a wedding.
Keep watching for those sales. I will keep my finger crossed.
I was really hoping to see you again!!!

That is both good and bad news. How exciting for Heather. NYE is LV single busiest days of the year. It's when the hotels make all their money for the 4th quarter.

From Dec 26th till the Tuesday after New Years will be the most expensive days to fly. That's why my in-laws stay for 3 weeks during the holidays, they come in and leave with the cheapest flights.

If you need any help with planning or hotel info, just let me know. There are a ton of non-casino hotel off the strip. It might be cheaper to stay in one of them and rent a car.

Thanks Christine, I know its a bad time of year, but this is what she wants...belive me I tried talking her into a beach wedding but that didnt work....its her wedding and I dont want to "butt in"...so I will just suck it up and pay the price....I did see a deal on travelocity for airfare and hotel...she is looking at mgm for 1400. which was about the cheapest that I could find.
I may go ahead and book that....but the flight home is on a red-eye..leaves midnite and into chicago at 5am... still working on it!!

Denise, keep Christine might have the right iea to book a hotel a ways off the strip and rent a car or take a cab to the wedding. That might save you a nice bundle of money. Can't hurt to chek them out.

have a great time at WDW!! I cant wait until December when we get to go. I love seeing all the decorations and may even hit MVMCP this time. I did it about 8 years ago but didnt stya very long because I wasnt feeling well, so this time i want to hit everything that night!!

We have another RV club here for a few days so the park is kinda full but they are all senors so they arnt noisy.

Hope to see my mom on sunday morning but I feel like i might be catching something and dont want to expose her, so will wait until the last minute to decide if I am going or not.

Howdy Greg,

Pixie is slowly healing up. Part of that pad is shriveling up and dying off. It will fall off then a scab can form and heal up better. No infection and the pain doesnt seem too bad now. Just have to keep it bandaged up so she wont chew on it and get it infected.

Mom is holding her own. Last 2 visits she was in bed due to her back hurting and she was tired. She is very hunched over and that helps her back to be tired and hurt often now.
She is extra tired due to her heart not pumping properly so she doesnt get the oxygen to the blood and just getting old doesnt help I'm sure.

But she still knows us most of the time and she smiles and teases us. I hope to see her on sunday and if they weather man is right and its warm I will take her outside in the courtyard to visit. She loves being outside when its warm. All their benches are iron and hard to sit on so we took her a seat and back cushion to use.

Hope your family are all well and probably about out of school now too.

I am Kathy nd DH is Greg. This will be our 21st DCL cruise.

Even though we wont meet I am still thrilled to chat about cruising and other stuff with you to pass the time until the cruise is here.

We will have a cruise mates list put together and sent out later on so you will know who is going with you.

Please just jump right in and start posting. Weekends are a bit slow around here but it will pick up during the week.
