Geez, I don't post for a while and Denise turns into Wally? Or is it that Denise wishes she was Wally? Disguising herself as Wally? Oh, it hurts to figure out!!! (P.S. Izzy is ADORABLE princess:, Denise/Wally! Although I have a bad feeling that she gets NO attention :rolleyes1 Loosen up the money belt and buy the poor kid an outfit or a toy! ;) )

So I see it's pretty much the same old gang here. Kathy, are you scarring everyone off? BAD GIRL!

Whatever happened to Dawn? Does she still post?

Can we go on the cruise yet?

Hey, this is what happens when you start to get old.....Wally wanted his sign on left on while I was gone....he tought he would post.....be he didnt...I'm just used to being logged in...and see what happens!!

While in Colorado went shopping at the mall....oh yes, stopped at one store and bought her one outfit.....85.00 :scared1: for a sundress a little sweater to match, sandles and a headband.....
crazy for something she will most likely only wear once. believe me, the kid has more clothes than I do....

But glad you back to posting and it sounds like you girls had a good time in NOLA......you really need to post "stories"!!:rotfl:

I'm here Kathy. Just crazy busy this week trying to get out from under a pile of work that threatens to bury me. Next week I am going to NYC for 3 days - have two meetings and hope to find a ticket to see Pitt play in the Big East Tournament at the Garden. Going up by myself since it's mostly for business. Family came last year but we couldn't work it out this year.

Only three weeks from tomorrow and we are heading for WDW. I'm going to so much appreciate this trip - if for nothing else that I'll actually see green grass, leaves on trees, flowers and other things we haven't seen in months around here.

Happy almost Friday to all!

Evening all:

Well thank goodness tomorrow is friday.....it has been such a stressful week at work. We went "live" with our new scheduling system....there is one huge flaw in the system and they dont seem to concerned. It just overbooks the doctors...hmmmmm Im sure once the doc's get on the phone and start making some phone calls, things with get done. It's just getting fully comfortable with this system, which will take a little time....but it's a lot more steps then our old system. But we have to get ready for electronic records and this is the first step....I was hoping it would hold out another few years, then I would be getting ready to retire and not have to worry about it.

Otherwise quiet on the homefront.....

Evening everyone.

I'm a little late getting here, but better late then never.

I've been busy most of the day making phone calls to Cairo. We decided to for go Norwegians cruise lines excursion for our stop in Cairo. They were wanting way to much money for an overnight tour, so we decided to organize our own group.

I found a tour company recommended on tripadvisor, so we organized a group of about 30 people so far and I was able to get us all rooms at the Mena House Oberoi. I'm really excited because the hotel sits across the street from the Pyramids at Giza. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94ARsI5JmF0&fmt=18

Stories? Oh ... I really don't think that's a good idea. Just sayin :rolleyes1

Jeff, I figured you were just busy working but if I complain people seem to show up and post;) So I complain about where people are alot, or maybe its the mom in me wanting to know where everyone is:lmao:
Are you going to see Pat when you go to WDW? I know she mentioned going there close to Easter. If you do tell her Hi from us. I miss her.

Greg,
that is an awesome place to stay. I expect some great photos of that place.
Thats great you have an overnight stop there.
Hows the hand doing?

Howdy all,

Hope your having a great friday.
It is cold and raining here but tomorrow is suppose to be dry and upper 50's so we will have a 1 day break in the weather. Yeah!!

I was going to visit mom tomorrow but now I have to cancel. Our son Peter was visiting here for a few days and he left Wednesday afternoon and got ill , like the flu early thursday morning.
I dont know if he was exposed after he left here or was carrying the virus while here?
I can't take the chance of carrying a virus into Brookstone where mom lives. Those people are so frail one virus could kill many of them including her. So No going this weekend.:guilty:
Instead we will spend the weekend sanitizing this place as best we can and hope niether one of us comes down with it. Greg just got over a flu a week ago. Lots of fun here this weekend;)

I will also go to town for a few groceries.

Exciting huh??

Anybody else have plans for the weekend??

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

Yeah, we'll be taking lots of pictures on both our cruises this year....especially in Egypt and the Mediterranean. :thumbsup2

I hope Peter gets feeling better and you and Greg don't catch the flu. We've been stocking up on vitamins to help ward off any illness. I hope all of us are healthy for our cruise in 3 weeks.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to visit your mom this weekend...how is she doing?

No plans for us this weekend. Just trying to get things ready for vacation. :cool1:

The kids are begging me to take them to the Totumo Volcano while we're in Colombia....I can't imagine why? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBdGCr7Lf3I :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: That is every kids dream!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
One question though??

I didnt see any showers to rinse off:confused3
If you go there you have to share pictures!!!!

Mom is hanging in there and has out lived every Dr.s predictions. The 31st of this month she will have been in Brookstone a year.
She does know us 3 kids but nobody else. Once I re-introduce her ot my kids she kinda knows them. She says they look familiar and could even be family;)

She is on some strong anti-depresants or we couldnt even visit.
She eats like a horse and is always hungry for more.:thumbsup2

She is full of crazy funny stories again which is great.
Lasr week for the first time she was talking about my dad to my brother.(dad died 30 years ago)

She was talking about how he had different jobs and each one was better paying than the last, then she said he finally married Marilee and they opened a place with good sandwiches and drinks for all the men and she was so proud of him.:lmao::lmao:
Mom was proud of dad for marrying someone else:confused3:rotfl2:

She also accused the old man of stealing her clothes. What old man? what clothes? She was tired from working in the garden all day.
Also Dan brought her some cookies and a minute after they started eating them she told him she made them herself. She said the lady in the kitchen left the door unlocked for her so she could go and make cookies all night. The banana cream were the best but they were all gone.

So we are getting funny stories again.
She will occassionally sleep up to 20 hours a day, waking just to eat and clean up or if company comes but at least when she is awake she is happy and in no pain, so its so much better than it could have been.

She is such a sweetheart again. I hope i lasts.

Afternoon all:

Just a quick hello...going out after work so wont be posting...tomorrow I'm going to get 2 new tires for my car and possibly get my brakes done. Thats my exciting weekend.

Kathy, Glad to hear your mom is doing well. Those are pretty funny stories. :rotfl2:

I guess once we're done playing in the mud you walk down and rinse off in the lake that you see in the video. It will be interesting. LOL

I forgot to answer your question about my arms/hands. They are doing very well, although it is taking longer to heal then I thought it would.

I get the stitches taken out of my left arm on Monday, so I'm looking forward to that. The joint pain I had is gone, but I still have the surgery pain on both hands.
I went grocery shopping today and it was very painful to hold onto and push the cart because of the incisions.

I'm guessing it will be at least another 6-8 weeks before they are totally healed. I should be in good enough shape for our cruise, but I'll have to be very careful what I do.

Kathy - I had tears in my eyes reading about your mom. May this phase last for a very very long time.

Morning all,

well its cloudy and dreary looking but at least its not raining today, so far.:thumbsup2 I have laundry started and breakfast of french toast and sausage is all done accept the dishes.

Soon I will be off to the grocery store, then lunch and then the real fun begins. Getting this place cleaned from one end to the other and sanitizing to try and get rid of any germs left from the flu we had around here.
I dont want any relapses. I am so glad Greg is here to help today. Its a great way for him to spend his day off.:lmao:

Greg, I'm happy to hear the joint pain is gone, that was the reason for the surgery to start with so it must have worked.:thumbsup2 We know the pain from the surgery will improve every day.

Hi Jeff,

I am jealous your going to Disney again so soon. We had talked about going the first of December to see all the decorations in the hotels and parks.
Some of the hotels are awsome!!!

Well off to clean and shop. I will try to check in this evening.
Hope everyone has a great weekend,

Kathy

Good morning Nana's!

The sun is out and the snow is melting. We may actually have no snow here by the time we leave for Miami in a few weeks.

Kathy, I'm surprised your RV hasn't floated away yet from all the rain?

When I lived in Seattle I loved it..... until spring came. Then it was non stop rain for months! I swear you've got to have gills to live over there.

Well, for Janel and I's couple's retreat next year we had debated about doing an Alaskan cruise or spending a fews weeks at our timeshare in Fiji.

So far Fiji is winning. Both of my cousins and their spouses just got back from staying at our condo and said it was amazing....so of course I need to go and verify that it truly is amazing.

Evening all:

Wow this has been a day......up at 5:30 then went to get my brakes done...had to be there at 7 when they opended...had my furniture delivered today:dance3: The ran shopping, came home and worked on getting my family room put back together....ordered pizza for dinner...man I'm tired. tomorrow am heading to my dad's in chicago......then I get to come home and do laundry....

Kathy: I dont know what to say about your mom...I know the stories are cute....but sad also at the same time.

Greg: the pic's are great...love the white water rafting pic....beautiful....and I'm really thinking if you go to fiji you need to take me....or adopt me...or something.....;)

Have a good one all

Hey Denise, did you not read the part about this being a "couples retreat"? I'm not even taking my own kids with me this time. :rotfl2:

Congrats on the new furniture! :-)

Hi again, I haven't been on too much, trying to finish up my last few weeks of school for the winter term and I of course push everything off until the end so then I have to rush around to get everything done! I am so ready for a vacation, good thing we booked a trip to Florida in June and we plan on going to Disney for a day!!
