Well, if the doctor is feeling better and doesn't cancel on me again....I'm 12 hours away from heading to the hospital for surgery.

That's a lot of snow! If I'm lucky I've got 6 inches in my yard.

I've only started my snow blower once all season and that was just after Christmas.

They are also saying another storm is coming and we may get six more inches on Tuesday.

Good luck on your surgery.

Saints WIN!! ;)

I always root for the underdogs and this tme they won.

Greg ,
good luck tomorrow:thumbsup2

Jeff,

sounds like your really getting snowed in this time. Hope it passes quickly for you guys.

Hi Denise,

quiet day here too.

Good night all,

Kathy

So i think we are definitely booking this sailing - in fact I think we are going to do the whole back to back thing. :cool1: Pricing is almost identical to doing the post-Thanksgiving week which is a western again. We had booked Turkey Week this year because it's an eastern. But the chance to sail with Nanaheads and the week is a good one and it's 2 stops at Castaway on the NEW ship. I think there is no question. Look out Nanaheads here we come.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Good morning nanaheads,

cool and rainy again this morning.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Greg, keeping good thoughts for you this morning!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

back later all,

Kathy

I'm back home.

Doc said surgery went well. He was able to relieve the pressure off of the nerves, so it should alleviate the pain....I should be able to notice a difference in a week or so.

I'm feeling very sleepy.....going to take a nap. :faint:

Yeah, I was the first surgery. The doc felt bad he had to cancel on me Friday, so they had me in n out within 3 hours.

My IV's kept blowing out so both arms and hands are black n blue now.

Another 3 weeks and I get to do it all over again...Woohoo!

Gotta lay back down....

Well if it really helps your pain it will be well worth doing it again but boy your calling it awefully close to your cruise for healing up after a 2nd surgery arnt you. I hope your a quick healer.;)

You should take a photo of all your black and blue places as a souvenir for later.:lmao: I hate it when an IV blows.
That happens to me all the time.
Last time I was in the hospital both sides of the wrists and back of both hands blew out so finally they had to do the inside of my arm at the elbow, man that hurt!! It blew out too but the same day I was going home so it was ok.

I looked like I had gone 10 rounds with George Foreman:rotfl2:

Get some rest,

Kathy

Evening all:

Well we are bracing for a huge snow storm...they are calling for 12 inches....I'm really hoping that this time they are wrong like they usually are.....we will see.

nothing much else going on 15 days and counting till I leave for colorado....looking forward to seeing that baby.

I think that was the most painful part of the surgery having my veins blowing out.

My arm has been completely numb for almost 10 hours now, which is a bit worrisome but I'm enjoying not having the constant pain. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'll have Janel take a picture the next time we take the bandages off.

Denise,
I hope they are wrong but with all the snow falling right now you are liable to get more not less snow;) Let us know what happens.

Greg, I sure hope the numbness is normal? Maybe the nerves need to heal for a few days to get the feeling back.

No snow here, just more fog and rain.
My internet is down this morning. I am getting a local hotel with poor signal so I hope this posts ok.

Greg and Peter went to our local Dennys for their free Grand Salm breakfast this morning, it's all you can eat until 2 p.m. for grand slams. So for the cost of coffee they both got a good hot breakfast at 7 am there was only 4 other tables with people at them.
One good thing about being out away from everyone, its never crowded there although at dinner they do a good business from the freeway. Plus truckers pulling in for the night at the Pilot station.

Closer to population people will be waiting for a seat I am sure.

Back later if I get a signal,

Kathy

Good morning.

Numbness is almost worn off and so far things feel really good. Started toning down on the pain meds this morning and so far so good. :thumbsup2

I still feel like I could sleep for another couple of hours, but will try and take a nap once Brayden and Holly go down for their naps in a few hours.

I'll check in later

Afternoon:

Greg, glad surgery went well and your starting to get back to "normal".... or are you "normal'?????:rotfl:

Well so far we only got about 3-4 inches of snow, it is still flurring out...so maybe we wont get as much as they were calling for!!! Keep your fingers crossed.

Just got back for training class...going into a new electronic med records system next month......my brain is fried right now......:scared:

have a good one

Hi all,

Greg, good to hear your arm is doing better :thumbsup2

Denise, you mean your not going to get to make snow people in your yard??Wheres the fun in that??:lmao:

I can talk we only have rain here.

Catch ya later all,

Kathy

Happy wednesday everyone,

I hope those burried in the snow on the east coast can get power back soon.
Jeff, hope you guys are warm and safe. I know you've got a ton of snow.

Denise,
hows the latest snow out your way?

We still have rain , but last night and tonight we are down into the 30's which is cold for us.

Not much happening here in Oregon today. Same old thing .

Greg,
Hows the arm today? Now that its not numb anymore. Hope its not too painful when you are off the pain killers.

I think I will make chili burgers tonight. Sounds warm and filling.

Catch everyone later,

Kathy

I hope everyone is surviving the winter storms and rain around the country.

My arms/hands are feeling better everyday. Tomorrow we get to take the band aids off to see what the incisions look like....not sure If I'm ready to see that yet?

Have a good one. :thumbsup2

I guess we had a earthquake here this morning......around 4am 3.8 on the scale.....went even into wisconsin, indiana and michigan.....but I slept thru it.... Wally was awake and felt it...he thought someone hit into our house...I guess it shook pretty good.....but even Jack didnt budge....:confused3 missed my first quake....

Greg glad your doing better.
